Jelanii wondered just how angry Cerith was going to be when he saw her again. He simply vanished from sight and now he was returning once the battle was over. The whole time he had been gone, Jelanii had been forced to make himself concentrate on his mission. Something he hadn't done once and a stab to the side had been his reward. The wound was mostly healed, but he figured there would probably be a scar. The blade had been jagged and, meant to do lasting damage.

Still the mission was over and he had been assured his sister was safe. Some of the people from the underground had kept a watch over her. Nothing to interfere, just so that Jelanii could be assured she was alive and well and where to find her. Right now she was at an inn in Sauti. An inn that Jealnii was now standing outside of. He took a breath and stepped inside.

Inside the sound of music was playing a celebration of vistory. There wasa rowdy crowd, drinking and singing in merriment. Jelanii felt relief at the normalcy of it, but only for a moment as he scanned the crowd, looking for his sister.

In the end, perhaps going off to Sauti to fight in a stranger's war wasn't the best idea that they had ever had. At the very least, Cerith hadn't been too hugely embroiled in the fighting - Mynshaka had bumbled off with his beast somewhere, and as the call to fight came Jelanii just disappeared into thin air. Without someone to defend, Cerith had turned her attention to keeping ground - she wouldn't put herself at harm more than she had to, as she had no reason to defend this Sauti place from anyone.

The ending of the very strange battle was sweet - the people of Sauti were happy, and the Oban/Matori forces could pat themselves on the back and say they had done their part. Of course, now Cerith was in Sauti, without any clue as to where her brother even WAS - if he had even made it out of the battle at all. Frowning against the wave of concern that hit her, Cerith grunted softly and took a sip of strange tasting ale that these Wind people drank, wrinkling her nose at the taste of it.

Since meeting her old master and taking up a blade to fight, Cerith had continued to wear her half of the shell she and Jelanii shared over her forehead - but since being separated she had opted to instead wear it as a hair accessory. She sat languidly in a roughly hewn wooden chair, holding the cheap mug in one hand, as her eyes lifted to the door to peer at whoever had come inside. And - to her surprise - it was Jelanii. She blinked, shoulders easing in relief - but then she frowned and righted herself in her chair, leaning forward and setting the cup back on her table. As he undoubtedly approached, Cerith watched him with a hard stare, lips drawn into a disapproving frown, even if she didn't make any move to speak just yet. Once he'd sat at the table, she lifted her eyebrows, silently demanding his explanation.
