For a moment, the sudden closeness of Luxara caught him by surprise and a very faint blush rose to his cheeks. It faded quickly though as he shot back, "Eh, a solid fifty percent now. Maybe fifty five, since you are borrowing my height." The grin on his face was wide though and he wasn't shocked when she jumped down to greet his sister, whom he did restrain himself from making a face at.
"I do not know it, thank you, obviously I have the ability to make friends," He huffed at his sister, even if what she said was true. He had to protect his dignity at the least, even if it was kind of sad that she was able to attack it so well. "Also I don't have a caterpillar on my face." He grumbled, a worrying hand coming up to touch at his mustache before dropping back down. It would grow out more soon and then he'd have a glorious beard and Forera wouldn't be able to say anything. Probably.
He was content to just let Forera and Luxara talk though, at least if it wasn't at the expense of him or his mustache. The arrival of the orangeblood set him on edge though and he only nodded at her friendly greeting, barely managing to gather that she went by Est with Luxara. The way Luxara talked to her though made him a little less on edge, even if she had shifted closer to the girls he did know. The slap on his arm caught him by surprise though and he made a strangled sound before trying to pass it off as a cough. "Can't let Forera have everything good," He shrugged, giving up his suspicion for a minute to get a jab in at Forera. Always worth it.

The giggle bubbling up on Forera's lips was loud and excited— The energy she exuded due to the excitement she felt to be finally helping out the rebels was enough to make her rock back and forth, a giggle snort unintentionally sliding out of her mouth. Even if it was just to rebuild! From afar, familiar voice got her even more animated, teeth spreading into a large and wide grin. "Etsali?! What'cha doin' here in this neck'o the woods?" She was feeling like a kid again, with her friends and her brother around her, so excited and happy she almost forgot they were supposed to be covert. "Awe man, neither was I! This is so cool, I'm so totally hyped up right now!!"
Returning Luxara's tight hug, the tealblood glanced back over toward the group before blinking at them and ruffling her hair. "The kid's a total cutiepie! His name is like, Maneki, and uhhh, the dude with the dreads is this guy called Uncle Remmy. At least, Manny calls him that." Forera shrugged before looking at the leader and turning up her lip. She had a hefty amount of authority of course, but Forera honestly didn't know how to feel toward her. She was like, a total mystery, and just thinking about her possible past gave Forera the jitters. "The one with the nose scar's our leader. Byakko, Maneki told me. Don't know the others." Her voice was lower now, but it was obvious the chatty trolls were blatantly talking about them. At least, it was obvious Forera was talking about them, due to her body language and obvious attitude. She looked to the others once more before throwing another cautious look at the group, curious. They seemed like they were in another world, compared to them.
Turning back toward the greenblood, the tealblood's smile lessened some before she looked to the side and actually chuckled a little. "Vulp wasn't feelin' like, up to it! He didn't want me to come either, but I just had to! I tootally needed to see what it is they do here. Last time didn't go tooo great." A little less excited and more anxious, the tealblood giggled at Luxara's playful jab, tossing her hair away from her face and laughing again, waggling her eyebrows. "Sorry bro, you may have the like, height and muscle, but I got all the charm and beauuuty, caterpillar man!" She quickly lifted her arm, flexing her muscles pretty hard and throwing a wink at the group, mischievous sharkteeth grin spreading across her face like
Glancing toward Etsali, she wiggled her eyebrows a little before nodding animatedly at her. "How've you been, and who like, brought you here? Unless you were an oldie rebel?" Somehow she doubted that! The sneaky troll didn't seem to have any rebel friends besides the group they were in now, but hey, then again she didn't know Etsali as much she thought she did. She didn't seem like a troll who would willingly sign herself up for danger.

Etsali laughed, lifting a hand to wave as she came to a stop beside them. Always nice to get such enthusiastic greetings, and yeah, it really was almost like a Tunnel Snakes reunion, wasn't it? She glanced around to see if she could spot Vulpin even as Luxara asked about him, then settled her eyes on Forera for the answer when she couldn't find him. "Ahh, that's too bad." She supposed she should have figured as much. She'd had her own doubts about coming, after all, and she could see why he wouldn't want to.
"I've been doing pretty great though!" This was not the entire truth, as she'd been thrown down stairs and nearly killed at least once or twice since she'd seen them last, but eh, a thief had to have some secrets. "Lots of interesting adventures. You guys ought to come with me on one sometime." She grinned at the idea, then moved along to finish answering questions. "Anyway, yeah, this is my first time dealing with this stuff. A friend of mine's pretty into the cause lately and wanted me to give it a try. I'll introduce you when he gets here!"
She started to ask how long they'd been involved, but she guessed maybe that was obvious. They'd had a rebel friend for as long as she'd known them, right? Instead, she turned her attention back to Forera's brother, appraising. "Well! You know, now that I think about it, all that height and muscle miiight come in handy, but I dunno, you sure you're cool enough to fill in for Vulpin?" Giggling, she stuck out a hand. "The name's Etsali Azeban, by the way, I don't think we ever got around to that part."
"Vul doesn't know what fun is," Luxara said with a dismissive wave of her hand. Then she glanced between Forera and Anguis, one then the other. This sibling thingy and its dynamic was so entertanining. "I dunno, For, An over here was pretty endearing last time I saw him. With the height and buffness and all. He's a strong tree." She smiled and patted one of his arms as if it were proof before retracting and putting her hands in her coat pockets.
With that, Luxara was happy to listen to Etsali talk some. "Adventures, huh? What kind? Anything as interesting as when we were the Tunnel Snakes?" While OHC was never exactly a fond memory in and of itself, they did see some neat things. Well, before a lot of it was blown up. Then totally razed later. "I'm glad you're here though," she added, watching as Etsali went to shake hands with Anguis. "Of course he's cool. If you're gonna hang out with us, you either gotta be or you soak up our awesomeness and become a part of it."

It was fun to watch Forera bounce around, even if he wasn't quite feeling it as he watched the orange blood. But she was making up more than enough with it though, chattering all the while. Even with his unease, it was starting to lighten up with an infectious grin as she kept on talking. He nodded as she named the group he'd been looking at, tucking away the name of the leader for later. That was bound to be useful information somehow.
"You have the charm? When did this happen? Why did no one inform me of my apparent lack of charm and good looks." He snorted, giving her a gentle poke in the nose. He threw a smile towards Luxara as she backed him up. "I thought we agreed I wasn't a tree. Or is it still the hair?" That was something he always found amusing.
Feeling a little more relaxed he took Estali's hand, giving it a firm shake. "Anguis Serpen, the better twin if it wasn't obvious." He grinned, then added "And despite what Forera says, probably cool enough to fill in for Vulpin."
Forera's eyebrows lifted up at the mention of adventures, and a grin spread across her face. "Totally, Ets! You better count me in for your like, next one!" She didn't care if it was dangerous or not-- He life had been fairly boring recently, and the thrill-seeker was quite anxious for the next one. A friend got her into it, huh? "Awe man, you like, totally better! I loooove meeting new trolls!" She giggled a little before quirking a brow at Etsali's mention of Vulpin, her eyes getting a little brighter. "Vulpin's the coolest. He may be a little bit of a bummer when he's like, all prissy and stuff, but with enough effort he's a total little squish-ball." She mimicked the motions of one with her hand, as if holding one in her hand right then and there.
Glancing at Anguis, Forera gave him a knowing smile. "Yes, dear hatchpartner, you're as awkward as a meowbeast in water!" She didn't know exactly what that meant, but they got what she meant. Squinting a little, she decided to give her twin at least some of the credit. "Alllrigghttt. He's cool enough. I mean, he was totally hatched with like, my genes!" She blinked. "You are totally a tree!" She exclaimed, and immediately, without even thinking about it, threw herself on him. She slung her arm around his neck and pulled herself up, grabbing onto his arm and managing to latch onto him easily, slinging herself onto his back and tugging herself up, almost looking like a piggyback. She grinned at the others from her spot on the tall tree and smiled brightly at the others, letting out a loud laugh, holding onto him tightly. "Look at this tall dude! He's like, double my size!!"

"As interesting as the ones we had as Tunnel Snakes? Hmm!" Etsali glanced back at Luxara as she considered the proper answer to the question, then shrugged with a little grin. "Welll, maybe a few here and there. I'll tell you all about them just as soon as I figure out how much of our coolness Mr. Serpen here has already absorbed." Despite what she'd said, though, she really just ended up watching the antics of the siblings and Luxara with a laugh. He certainly got along with that half of the group at least, she had to give him that!
"Hehe, I think he's taller than any of us. You know they might be on to something with this tree business." She winked at the them, teasing, and then as she glanced across, paused. Had that been a bit of red over in that other group? She brightened. "Hey, I think my friend might be here now! I'll be right back, let me go check so I can drag him over to meet you guys!" Motioning for them to stay put, she started across the room.
"Squish-ball? Oh my god, For, I can't imagine how he'd react if he heard you say that!" the greenblood chuckled. "Can you please say that again when he's around cuz I gotta see."
However, that didn't mean Anguis was off the hook yet. She needed to make one more comment. And she only laughed more when Forera managed to pull herself up onto Anguis. Part of her wished she was doing that, though; it looked so fun. "Look at that, An! You're the most climable troll I've ever seen! How many can you carry? At least three? Serious trees can hold at least three trolls, you know."
Luxara, soaking in the banter around her, felt a warmth in her chest that had she nearly forgot about. It was familiar, like the excitement when she first met Ganyma and Didero, and the cohesion of being in a small group. But she was young then, and didn't understand more than how much she loved getting to natter at other people who might respond positively.
So was it more like the first round of Tunnel Snakes? Despite how scattered they were, Luxara got along with everyone okay until the stress. And even after, most of them were on good terms. She had erased all illwill she had felt towards anyone present, and believed they did the same with her.
Maybe this was the step beyond that. A good, wholesome atmosphere. Minimal drama. No hurt feelings, only jokes and smiles. Everyone was happy to see each other, no strings attached.
She watched, at ease, while Etsali went on her merry way to get her friend. The greenblood then gave the twins a large grin. She was happy to be here. This was the right decision.
Luxara only turned again to wonder about when Kursha would get here and join the excitement. She would have so much to share with him, and the scene would be complete. Hopefully he wouldn't be late.
