I see it in the Games drop down menu, but not on the actual page itself? And I know I've seen it around somewhere where it refers to Lake Kindred as Summer Event 2015. So is it just design fail or is there something I'm missing...

I'm assuming you are talking about these announcements regarding the summer event:

From what I understand, this game is meant to still be here well past summer. The event entails defeating the Sycamortes within the game (which are apparently Level 30 Kins). Basically we're supposed to level up and defeat a bunch of them before the event is over. I just found a forum that discusses the game more in depth here:
