Bisera, along with the clingy alol Gemma who was draped around his shoulders, were heading out for another collection adventure. As always his eyes were on the ground, seeking out anything interesting that he might find there. Shiny stones, bone, horns, basically anything that might be useful for the jewelry that he made. Today the main thing that he was after was the bone and perhaps some nice pieces of wood, things that he could carve into some beads for a piece that he was working on for one of his little sisters, Nisha. It was her birthday soon and he wanted to try to get a piece done for her. From time to time in his search Bisera would actually lift his head to look around from side to side before returning to his search. It was his meeting with Daelin, and the man's instruction, that had doing so. Daelin had been so certain that he would run into bandit trouble if he wasn't paying attention so he was trying his best to remember to at least look around from time to time. It was hard to do though when what he really wanted to do was search for components. As he walked along he felt Gemma suddenly tighten around him, giving a soft hissing sound, something that actually drew the full attention of the blond, "Huh? What is it Gemma?" He asked of the pink creature before he looked around... pausing as he spotted a rather tall woman with antennae with a rather massive beast. Lifting a hand to pat Gemma on the head he said, "That's an Alkidike, right? Hmm, from what I heard from mom the battle with the dangerous ones is over. Does that mean she's one of the not scary ones?" As though the alol would know. After a moment of starring he found his mind wandering a bit, inspecting the pair, comparing their features and coloration to various jewels that he knew, before murmuring, "She's rather lovely, isn't she? You know I've never seen an Alkidike before." This thought in mind he started to creep a little closer to try to get a look at her, a very curious look on his face as he did so.

Sounds made her ears twitch, vibrations in the ground made her own antenna wiggle with the attention that was drawn to it. But she paid little mind to it, there was little reason to pay attention to any of the earthlings around her. Many seemed more interested in avoiding her and Kakkara, now that the traitors had been sent away. Her own mind wandered with thoughts as she tried to piece together just where her daughter and the boy who followed her like a pup had gone. Rolling a few rather shiny stones in her fingers Maya bent a leg up towards her. Her back was nestled against the sleeping Kakkara, a few animal bones were near the beasts muzzle, having just finished a meal. Dark orbed eyes shifted to gaze towards the approaching individual. "You're very bad at hiding." Maya commented, giving a slight smile to show she meant no harm by her words.

Bisera found himself starring at the Alkidike's giant beast, wondering if that was some sort of Alkidike monster, before he looked toward the bones that it had near its face. He blinked a couple times, his dark eyes going a bit wide, "Oh... Gemma, look... bones!" That would be useful, though it meant going really close to that creature and all of its sharp teeth, not something he was interested in. Well, unless it was a lost tooth, that would be useful. While they were all in his mouth though it wasn't something he wanted to approach. Turning to look toward the woman as she spoke up to him and he found himself starring for a moment, "Huh? Hiding? Yeah, I probably am." He wasn't exactly trying to hide and was sort of out in the open, meaning that he was likely the worst at hiding presently. He took a couple steps forward, though not wanting to get too much closer since the beast was so intimidating. He gave it a glance then looked back at her once more, giving her a smile. So this was an Alkidike then? He had heard stories about them but had never seen one, now that he did he could see why so many people were afraid of them. At the same time he found himself admiring her, her look, her colorations, those pretty antennae, and how each of her features seemed to remind him of various jewels. Her eyes especially made her think of obsidian he thought to himself for a moment before he realized that he was starring and said, "I... ahh... so, how's it going?" He asked, wondering if it would be odd for him to ask for the bones that her pet had. Maybe? Probably. Still, he kind of wanted to ask regardless of how odd the request would be.

"Bones?" Maya questioned glancing back to look at Kakkara's now finished meal. "You're interested in the bones? Or, are you afraid of us because there are bones near Kakkara?" Maya asked her eyes moving back to look at the bones as she spoke before turning her head to look the strange earthling over.
Giving a shrug before moving into an upright sitting position Maya flicked one of her hands through her hair. "I should apologize, I only assumed you were attempting to hide. Most do." Her eye brows raised a little into a questioning glance as she stared back at him, watching his eyes move. Was he staring at her? "I don't bite, I'm Maya." The woman spoke before leaning back against Kakkara, having determined the earthling was no threat to her.
Giving a sigh Maya turned her gaze slightly away from him. "How's it going..." Touching the tip of her ear Maya turned her eyes back towards the man. "Terrible." She finally muttered. "I am having a terrible time trying to find my daughter. This place is horrible it's too bright too hot and so hostile. Food is hard enough to come by. Never mind that I'm just grumbling."

Bisera gave the bones a glance, then gave a thoughtful sound, "Ahh... well, I am interested in the bones as a building block. As for afraid... maybe a little? I've never see a monster that big before." He said that bit in a hushed tone, as though he were afraid the creature would find insult in his words and might want to bite him for it. The creature was terrifying due to its size and the overall look of it. It seemed like a creature that would have little to no sense of humor if all those teeth were any indication. At the same time he'd never seen one, it could be nice... right? Maybe...
Giving a bit of a laugh, unable to help it, Bisera said, "You're not the one I am worried about being bitten by. I don't think I've ever heard any stories about Alkidike biting before." There were various stories about them, the scary sort, but he couldn't recall any that involved them being a bitey sort. A bonus since she was a warrior by the looks of her and Bisera was very much not a warrior... if there was a polar opposite he might be just that. Giving a smile he said, "Maya, it is nice to meet you, I'm Bisera." An instant response, the sort that was a natural reply to someone introducing themselves to him.
"Oh... terrible? I'm sorry to hear that." He murmured, not having expected the answer that she gave him. She gave him a list of what was wrong and he said, "Wow... that is terrible. Is there anything I can do to help? I mean... I am not exactly the most useful sort, not much of a hunter or tracker... but... still, I feel I should offer." If he didn't offer he'd seem rather hostile and rude, not exactly the reputation that he wanted.
