Activity Time!

Please choose the activity that matches your student's stage!

Freshlings

Amari barely restrained a tail wag as the young ones walked in, smiling just a little. They liked the littler ones better than their older counterparts, since they usually were more polite and interested. As class started, they began to hand out yet another worksheet. "This is your homework for tonight. Please have it ready tomorrow." They murmured before starting class.

Rules

  1. Finish this worksheet! That includes coloring too!
  2. Once you've finished, post your worksheet here, along with a short reply of them turning in the assignment. Please link to it or put the image in spoiler tags!
  3. If you have any questions, please PM me!

Juniors

They couldn't help but let an ear flick, watching the much more rambunctious Juniors take their places in class. Some even barely made it through the door as the bell rang. Like ninjas, they thought, smiling softly to themselves. Maybe they had the perfect homework for today...

Rules

  1. Finish this worksheet and PM it to me with the title "Academy Math Ninjas- Insert Student Name”. Do not post answers here, or you will be disqualified along with anyone after you.
  2. Once you have completed the assignment, have your student post a reply turning it in.
  3. If you have any questions, please PM me!

Seniors

As the weather turned crisper, Amari could sense there was snow on the horizon. Perhaps it was a good time to remind their students of proper snow apparel. Handing out the worksheet, they entirely expected some laughing from the group of Seniors. Coloring sheets? For them? Wasn't this a Freshling thing? Without a word, they stared them down, frowning slightly. Glowing eyes now turned upon them, they knew well enough to quiet down and start on their work.

Rules

  1. Finish this worksheet and PM it to me with the title "Academy Math Multiplication Mittens- Insert Student Name”. Do not post answers here, or you will be disqualified along with anyone after you.
  2. Once you finish, post an RP response of them turning in the assignment!
  3. If you have any questions, please PM me!

Sorren never liked math, in fact she kind of hated it. However she could do it. It took her a few minutes but finally she was able to finish. She put it on Amari's desk and stalked out of class, happy to be done with it.

Math was probably one of Jezebeth's least favorite classes. She understood why it was important, she really did. However, the teacher was less animated than many of the other teachers. As well, it was hard to make math fun. She didn't feel much of a need for it outside of the class room yet either. Though she figured that would likely change some given time. When Amari has passed out the paper for homework she had accepted it with her usual small smile.

Coloring! Well maybe this would be fun. She had sat at her desk in her room with crayons around her and counted the pumpkins, coloring them in as she went. When she returned to class the next morning she placed the paper on the teacher's desk with a big grin on her face. She gave the teacher a little thumbs up and than found her usual seat a couple rows back.

      Nightmare: Cassie

Cassie blew out a breath. She wasn't big for math. She understood it's importance and how it helped build society - blah, blah, blah - but it just wasn't lively to her. Having long memorized her tables, she breezed through the numbers. Tapping her pencil she cross checked the numbers, following the lines to make sure she had them all right. Setting her utensils down, Cassie slid out of her chair and put it on the top of the teacher's pile. At least it was an easy enough quiz.

User ImageZalir had never really liked logic--it had always seemed like such a pointless part of math. It wasn't even properly math, was it? There were no numbers in it. It was more like philosophy than anything else.

And yet...for all that, Zalir found zemself having...fun! And the fun even extended after class, with the logic puzzles for homework. Zey made a mental note, as zey turned in zeir homework the next day, to ask Aella if there was a book on logic puzzles at the library.

User ImageAfter a long day of confusing new ideas, it was nice to be able to settle down to do some serious coloring. After carefully writing in the numbers in the blank spaces, Ustule pulled out her giant box of crayons and diligently colored every pumpkin a different color. She took it slow to make sure she colored in the lines. She was among the last students to finish. She handed Amari her paper and gave them one of her tiny smiles to show approval. She'd had fun today--she couldn't wait for math tomorrow!

Patterns had never been a problem for Lazarus, since music was full of patterns that he found all the time. Due to this, the homework assignment was a breeze for him to get through, checking over his answers though so he could make sure they were correct before he put it in his bag to bring to class. Before walking into this class that day, Lazarus was sure he would dislike his math class a lot, but that wasn't becoming the case at all. In fact, he was rather enjoying it! It had to be those small bits of math he always came across in music. That was the only explanation he could give to himself on such a thing occurring.

Turning in his assignment the next day, Lazarus was proud of what he had accomplished with this assignment. He made sure to put his name on it so the teacher knew he had been the one to do this specific assignment on this paper. He wanted to get the credit for it!

Laurel wasn't a huge fan of math, but when it came to fun math activities, he supposed it was okay. He colored the pumpkins as well as he could and picked a nice black marker to match the numbers already on some of the pumpkins. 2... 4... 6... 8! Yes, perfect! Only even numbers, he liked those! You could have two pieces of cake, four lollipops, six candy canes, and eight chocolate peanut butter cups! Even numbers were perfect!

His belly gave a rumble as he stood to hand his completed homework in and grinned up to his teacher.

"This math made me think of Halloween!" He cheered. "I can't wait to get bucket loads of candies, and maybe count them too!"

Vaden managed to finish the assignment during class when everyone else was still asking questions, and turned it in as he left for the day.

"Have a good afternoon." he nodded to the hybrid and went on his way.

Ah. Multiplication tables. This was nothing. Starlet had them done within a minute of being handed the sheet... He at least waited for her to finish talking before standing, then went to pass in the sheet with a polite nod. "Thank you." He then shuffled on out of the class to go about his day...

More coloring pages... but this one with numbers?? Grossss. Ganymede did not want to do this, not at all. They did it anyway, though. After a couple of pumpkins they quickly grew bored and just scribbled on the paper, then felt a need to share their unhappiness that there were no faces on these pumpkins to color in. Who wanted to color in a plain ol'pumpkin anyway?

User Image

With that done, they passed in the paper and waited to be dismissed.

User Image When she'd first recieved her assignment, Zahneel hadn't been sure she'd enjoy it. Oh, sure, she liked logic, but puzzles? Then, she'd wound up having more fun on this assignment than any others she'd done! She'd finished her homework in a snap and tucked it into her notebook for the next day.

And when the next day came, she smiled up at the teacher as she handed the sheet of paper in. Logic was wonderful.

User Image Coralie had never been fond of math in any form. But she learned it because math was simply another tool for a potential business woman. Sigh. Working as quickly as she could, she went through her multiplication quiz and finally got it all filled in.

Once she was sure she hadn't somehow forgotten anything, she stood and headed quietly to the desk to turn her work in.
