 The water felt cool against her hide, lapping lazily along her sides and occasionally splashing up in her face. She'd just snort or blow bubbles as she swam at a slow and leisurely pace, keeping an eye on the coast as she went. The mare had been out visiting her family, the Grail Herd, enjoying updating her brother on everything she'd been up to. All the new little trinkets she'd found on the land for him. The strange things land walkers did this time. A little more about that dumb featherbutt. But mostly, she'd wanted to update her brother and father about her adoptive sons.
Virus and Nefarious...
Teagan inhaled deeply and let her breath cause a flurry of bubbles as she thought about them. They certainly adored her, which was saying something, considering she'd had no idea as to what she was doing when the baskets had been dropped at her hooves. So to speak. Their elusive father had not been quite ready, she liked to believe. But there was no telling with Noxious. Of course, the boys had no qualms against making their father's life miserable in return, it seemed.
Sometimes she felt that she was raising three children instead of two. Except that she hadn't really seen much of that featherbutt. And, well, she wasn't quite sure how to feel about this. Which had been bugging her all morning. And was the reason she had yet to actually swim ashore. The ocean was relaxing. It helped her to steady her thoughts. At least... it did when she wasn't out on some wild treasure hunt.
"Why do I feel like I've already found the most valuable treasure, then?" She muttered to herself. And then suddenly uttered a few unsavory pirate-y words as a certain gator floated up beside her.
"Ye'blarmey scaled demon! Ya nearly gave me a heart attack!" She splashed water in Weed's face, grinning at the grimace he sent her.
"It's not my fault you weren't paying attention to your surroundings." Seaweed huffed, using his bulk to splash the little mare completely. "And why are you still out here? I thought you were going back on land?"
Teagan ducked under the water to rise up at right beneath her familiar. Who made an indignant noise and snapped his teeth at her. She just rose up laughing and spitting water at him.
"Cause I don't feel like it! And I thought ye were stayin' ashore and ignoring me for the day?" She reminded the gator, who rolled his eyes at her. "'Sides," she added, "I'm letting the waves sort out my thoughts."
Like why she got a little pang of... something whenever she thought about Noxious.
Shaking her head, Teagan gave in to the subtle urges of Seaweed for her to go ashore. As much as she would like to hide in the water forever, she couldn't. The boys were probably getting into all sorts of mischief without her keeping an eye on them. Or worse, they were tormenting their father. Maybe she should find him and rescue him? Again?
"Do ya think the boys are behavin'?" She asked Weed casually as her hooves squished into the sand and the mini mare shook herself.
Waddling along the beach and pausing long enough to shoot a loaded look over his shoulder, Seaweed gave a groan. "I try not to think about what those two brats are doing. But knowing them, you should probably go play referee." He found a nice little patch of beach that had some grass growing. Settling himself there to enjoy the sun, he gave Teagan another look.
"I will have no part of whatever shenanigans go down." And with that, he closed his eyes and ignored his bonded.
Laughing, Teagan trotted off in search of any of her boys. But particularly, for Noxious.XxXPandamoniumXxX ...oops I had too much fun >u>;;
