Fanaqua had to admit to himself that traveling with another individual definitely had its perks. The mer stallion now had someone who he could converse with over the long periods of swimming the immense waters. There was also an extra bonus of an extra pair of eyes scanning the depths for any sign of danger. Although what Fanaqua mostly enjoyed was Yuki's attitude. The octopus, although mostly sweet in nature, had a wicked sense of humor. A lot of times if Fanaqua was feeling mentally weary he could count on Yuki to snap him out of whatever funk he was in.
While in one of those funks Fanaqua began telling Yuki about his twin and how it had been his idea to explore the ocean in order for some time to pass so that he and his brother could spend some time alone.

The yearning to return home was also now a constant companion in the mer's mind. He wanted to know how Yukine had faired in his own journey. A small grin appeared as he tried to imagine the meeting between Yuki and Yukine. The thought of Yukine's shock would be worth whatever actions would come next.
Fanaqua sighed with restlessness as he began to pick out familiar landmarks on the ocean floor below him. He was returning home at last. The mer had left Yuki alone for a while so that she could hunt and he would have a small amount of time to himself in which he could figure out if he was the first to return. Even if he had been the last to return it would not matter. Fanaqua just wanted to see Yukine once more.
