She wasn't going to take Enjee to the beach. Franklin knew this about Tambrey, likely before Tambrey did, because Franklin had a new story book app about summer activities. Within this, she saw 'the beach', and played with on the beach was a colourful beach ball...
So, when Tambrey told her she was going to take a few of them, with Aulus, to the beach, Franklin knew Enjee wasn't going. She wasn't sure if Enjee had learned or was close to learning an explosive move yet, and there were some on the team who would almost certainly consider using him as a ball... Actually, Franklin would probably have been -one- of such pokémon had she not known about his potential for explosions.
Franklin's hypothesis proved right, of course, when Tambrey packed her large black beach bag; a beachball (un-inflated) was included, a towel, some goggles in case of proper swimming, sunscreen, and, Franklin had insisted, a plastic bucket and spade; her storybook app told her people played with buckets and spades on a beach and the little Psychic type was determined to try out every activity she could.
Tambrey had picked out a spot on the coast to the west of Ambergris. Far enough from where the route met the shore to be considered rather isolated, but a nice, sandy stretch of beach all the same. She imagined it would be pure luck, misfortune, to meet another person interested in the same stretch of beach she'd chosen; it was lacking any of the 'convenience' that the usual beach goer might want.
Dressed in flipflops, tan shorts, and a blue top, Tambrey certainly /felt/ summery... And, for once, she wasn't too worried about the faint criss-cross of scars on her lower legs. It was just -nice- to be going out to a beach; to be doing something normal, and rather relaxing. She'd decided to bring a swimsuit too (two piece and blue) but knowing there'd be nowhere to change, had opted to wear it beneath her clothes. Her glasses had clip-on-attached lenses that she could flip down or up, thus giving her a pair of sunglasses as needed.
A brown belt and holder gave her a place to carry Franklin, Pakhet, Linnaeus, Pygi, Octavia, and Ella.
She smiled as she stepped out onto the soft sand on arrival, taking a deep breath as she happily took in the sunlit shore and open skies.
"Oh, that even smells good..."

A day at the beach sounded absolutely perfect, it had been a while since he'd done anything off base that was just plain relaxation and fun and he knew the same was true of Tam. The hard part had been picking who to take on the fun day out.
Char had been happy to step aside which helped and Red was quite content to be let out over the forest for the day. In the end he'd settled on taking Asgard and Foxtrot - the former didn't get out enough, the latter needed to learn to relax a bit and her illusions might be needed - and drew straws for the other places which left him with Tortie, Juno, Thanatos, and Artemis. Paul had actually got the last place but he'd decided that a) the beach was scary and b) Artemis would probably like the beach and should go see it.
Packed into Aulus' bag was a towel, sunscreen, swim shorts, a picnic blanket, and the picnic he'd promised to bring for himself and Tambery. As he only owned one pair of shorts - rather old khaki green cargo shorts as it happened - Aulus was wearing those along with a black vest top and flipflops. He might not have anywhere to change as such but he did have a pokemon who could make him invisible which he felt was probably good enough.
As they stepped onto the beach Aulus gave a deep sigh of contentment, kicked off his fipflops and put them into his bag once he'd shaken off most of the grit. "Well this makes a change, hu?" he observed to his partner with a grin.

There'd been a few worries and insecurities in Tambrey's head regarding the trip; she was leaving a couple of projects to their own devices- which should be fine, as periods of waiting were actually necessary, but it meant that she couldn't just 'pop in' and check.
Still. With Turing, now, she /did/ have a way of second-hand monitoring the computer-controlled areas of the experiment. She didn't really feel it was wise to leave Franklin in a lab though, and besides, Franklin had been very excited to come.
Before shedding her own flip flops, in fact, letting Franklin out of her ball was the first thing that Tambrey did.
<> The little psychic type declared as she realized where she was and then did several spins and a loop in the air, before hovering near Tam's bag while she put her shoes away, waiting to be given her bucket and spade.
"Oh, definitely... I mean, technically some of those mountains around Sagestone were parts of a beach once, but this... It's nice. Um, nice to visit a current beach. I'm not sure when the last time I came to one was... Hold on, Franklin..." Tambrey smiled, moving aside the flipflops she'd just put away, and the deflated beachball, to retrieve the plastic yellow bucket and red spade for the Jirachi, who immediately zipped off onto the sand to find a good place for a sandcastle.

"Present tense beach. Current coast," Aulus agreed in his best serious tones. "Don't know when I last did either, makes a nice change. Heh, and she's keen," he gestured after Franklin, "has she been reading about beaches?"
As there was nobody around other than Tambery and their pokemon and he therefore wouldn't draw any stares for his wide assortment of scars Aulus then pulled off his shirt and shoved it into his bag along with his other stuff. "Mmmmh," he said eloquently as he stretched and rolled his shoulders before turning to Tam to ask; "So, shall we follow her? Looks like pretty much anywhere is a good place to sit." No competition for space and no need to keep an eye on their things really either.

Tambrey smiled, and then watched Franklin, now furiously filling her bucket, as Aulus gestured after her.
"Ah. Yep," She nodded "she has a storybook act about summer activities. Um, it's got picnics, hikes, swimming pools, and beaches in it. 'The Beach' as sort of become her favourite lately, so, uh, she's a little excited to be here..."
A few movements later and Pygi was free from her pokéball, spiraling up into the sky with a happy screech. Tambrey didn't feel a need to give her instructions, she knew what she was allowed to do and how far she was allowed to fly.
"Seems like a good idea. I don't think she'll, uh, really want to move far from where she's chosen now... Looks like she's setting down foundations..." Franklin was, indeed, now flattening out a patch of sand with the back of her spade.

"Important to have good foundations," Aulus nodded, once again sounded very serious but unable to keep himself from grinning a bit. "I should do that too," he added as Pygi took off. So saying Aulus turned to face away from Tam - and from Franklin's construction project, and raised one of his pokeballs.
The reason for this soon became apparent as the flare of white light grew, grew, and formed into Asgard. The Lugia yawned, blinked around at his surroundings, and then focused on Aulus and Tambery. <> he said with good humour. <> With this said he turned and started to lumber towards the ocean.
Aulus repressed a snort of amusement, but only just. "So graceful!" he murmured to Tambery; he might be majestic in the water or the air but on land Asgard's movement was pretty funny to watch.
With the big one out of the way Aulus let out the other five and gestured around them. "Don't go too far then you lot, especially you Fox; might need you."
Thanatos gave a salute and made straight for the water in Asgard's wake but the other four remained close, especially Tortie who came up to rub against Aulus' hip and sniff at his metal arm. <> she said with a frown, <>

"Hello Asgard," Tambrey grinned, and gave a wave, smirking just a little as she watched him move away "enjoy your swim!"
Franklin glanced up from where she was building her sandcastle and waved her spade at the large psychic type, but was glad he hadn't been released any closer by.
Tambrey let out a snort of amusement at Aulus' murmur and a nod. "Like Lasi when he decided we wanted to try using a treadmill... Hello!" She grinned, the last part said louder as the rest of Aulus' pokémon appeared...
Right, she should probably do the same... Ella had only really expressed an interest in coming because she was protective, but Tambrey suspected she'd enjoy herself all the same. Still, she decided to let the steel type out when they were more settled...
Pakhet, Linnaeus, and Octavia appeared, glancing around and taking in the sight of the beach... The two fire types immediately seemed pleased, their eyes lighting up at the expanse of sand to run and play around on, while Linnaeus looked around warily, until he spotted Artemis and wagged his tail, deciding to stick close by. <> He queried, worriedly looking at Aulus, after hearing what Tortie had said, but addressing, apparently, Artemis.
"Same as what Aulus said, don't go /too/ far, but, um, you're free to run about and play." Tambrey smiled, watching as Octavia and Pakhet immediately took advantage of the words, the Growlithe and the Ponyta racing over the sands.

<> Asgard replied to Tambery and bobbed his head at Franklin as he passed by. <>
Thanatos managed to catch up to Asgard at this point and bounced up onto his back with a cheerful croak, which caused Asgard to give an amused squark and psychic snort as he approached the water. <>
<> Tortie confirmed with a scowl. <> It was a machine, and she didn't particularly trust machines. She certainly didn't like to see one attached to her trainer, what if it went wrong? He did seem very happy with it though so she didn't direct her misgivings at him.
Artemis flicked her tail in a shrug at Pakhet. <> she said even though Tortie had already explained. Anyway, time to go! As Pakhet took off Artemis yipped excitedly and chased after the fire type. <>
Aulus grinned as he watched the trio of pokemon bound away and gave Tortie's mane a scratch. "Heh. Well, here then?" he suggested, putting down his bag and reaching into it for the picnic blanket.

<< Yep! A castle!>> Franklin informed the larger psychic type happily, watching as Thanatos then jumped up on the Lugia and tilted her head. She'd have to ask what 'tally-ho' meant later... It sounded 'fun' and it wasn't the first time she'd heard it, but it was the first time she'd heard someone she -knew- use it...
Linnaeus gave a whine of surprise as both Pakhet and Artemis took off to play. He glanced at Tortie, though, wondering if he should ask more about the 'dead' thing, but decided he found Tortie intimidating and launched himself clumsily after his sister and the Growlithe instead.
Octavia had taken quite a lead ahead and was already looping back to run in the other direction.
"Seems like a good place. We can, uh, see everyone from here, and like you said before... Really anywhere's good." She held up her hands, offering to help set out the picnic blanket.

Aulus nodded agreement and handed Tambery two corners of the blanket. "Ta," he said, moving to spread it out and then putting his bag down on it.
So then, what first? Aulus looked up and down the beach, nibbling at a bit of dry skin on his lower lip thoughtfully. "You hungry yet?" he asked, turning to Tam. "Or do you want to go for a swim or something? I kind of fancy a swim I think but I'm happy to eat first. Never did buy into 'you mustn't swim for half an hour after you eat'."
<> Tortie wondered aloud, giving Aulus' metal arm a very suspicious look indeed.

Tambrey moved to secure another corner with her own bag, then looked out at the ocean as Aulus asked.
"Mm.. I could go for a swim." Tambrey agreed, starting to shed her clothes, already; eating or not, she was going to enjoy the sun and be ready for a swim. "I wouldn't mind a quick snack though... but yes, there's not exactly anything scientific behind that 'half an hour' thing... What do we have for snacks? I brought some water."
She blinked at the last pokéball, as she realised she hadn't let Ella out yet, and choose to poke the button with a toe. The Aggron appeared just a little away from the blanket, in time to hear Tortie's question. << Hrrmm. A good question.>>

"Cool," Aulus nodded and turned to Foxtrot. "Hey Fox could I get an illusion please?" After a couple of moments he asked; "Am I invisible?"
Juno looked at the empty air where Aulus had been a moment before and nodded. <>
"Good." Had Foxtrot been like, say, Discord he wouldn't even have considered this course of action but she was a serious pokemon and he was confident that she wasn't going to make him reappear before he'd finished changing. He had to admit though that it still felt a little bit strange to just strip when Tambery was standing pretty close by. Technically it was no different to him being in a tent or something but still, slightly odd.
"I brought some water too," he said as he started to strip off. "And I brought some cheese and tomato sandwiches, a couple of apples, and some crisps." As Aulus spoke out of apparently nowhere his bag moved and a pair of dark blue swim trunks appeared to float into the air for a moment before vanishing.

Tambrey blinked as Aulus... vanished. Illusion pokémon had an intriguing biological skill but it wasn't one she totally understood... Light bending wasn't exactly something that was easy to locate genetically; it was enough that they could replicate it in the pokémon they created, at least...
"Ooh, apples!" Tambrey perked up; apples and the beach just seemed to have a connection in her head- the fruit was a good beach snack. And then the trunks suddenly floated... Er! Despite Aulus being invisible, Tambrey's eyes widened and she turned her head away from the... floating swim wear. Because that basically meant Aulus was currently naked, even if he was currently invisible...

"Alright, thanks Fox," said the invisible Aulus, who then became became visible once more wearing the swim trunks and holding his folded clothes, which he then put into his bag. He then looked up and noticed that Tambery had averted her gaze and decided that maybe he wouldn't use that trick again.
"Err, shall we go down then?" he suggested, zipping up his bag and straightening up.

Franklin had broken from her grand construction project just in time to see a pair of trunks floating about and disappearing... and then Aulus had appeared wearing them.
<> She decided to call, pointing toward them, while Aulus was wearing them, still somewhat excited that she was 'on a beach', before happily going back to her sandcastle as though nothing had happened.
"Er, what?" Tambrey blinked, as Aulus spoke, and then glanced back, seeing he was changed, and looked toward the water. 'Down to the water', of course. "Oh, uh, yes!" Then Franklin made her comment. "... Pft." She wondered if Aulus had realized his trunks had appeared to be floating about while he was invisible.
