Amadahy had felt rather, well, fool-hearted to have placed a wish upon a star but she had done it all the same. She just wanted someone to relate to, to call a friend. She by no means looked any less upon the mini she had met during the wintertime, but she just didn't feel as though she had connected the way she had wanted to with someone. It was late in the night, or rather early morning for the stars were starting to lose their visibility in the darkness of the sky. It meant dawn would soon be upon her.
She looked upwards, watching the stars fade and she thought she saw one of them flash or twinkle as many would probably say and she let out a sigh and looked away. What was the use? She then figured why worry about it? She had been doing alright thus far and probably shouldn't concern herself too much about it. After all, it was only a wish. There was never any reason to believe it would come true. At least that was what she believed and apparently what she believed was totally wrong.

It so happened that Astraea and finally come to where it was she had been told, more or less, to go. It was more of a vision or really a dream. She wasn't sure. Everything was so hazy but things were starting to make more sense for the mare. Though, it was still mostly white noise in her brain. Which was very frustrating for her.
She was coping though. And little did she know that there was more to this tale that was about to unfold.
The white and lavender colored mare moved gracefully through the trees and came upon an opening and spotted the blue colored flutter staring at the stars. A small smile formed across her muzzle as she walked towards her, pastel strands of hair wrapping around her frame as she moved. "You're Amadahy I presume?" She called out as she neared. "My name is Astraea and I believe that you were looking for me." It actually almost seemed fitting to her that her name meant star, especially for this situation. She knew that the mare wasn't looking for her exactly, but it was her she had been seeking.
Something did bother her though, that mare just looked... Well... Familiar. She had seen glimpses of her for some reason, but she was a lot smaller in her hazy dreams.

Her head whipped around at the sound of a soft and melodic voice and she stared at the larger mare that was before her and was completely enthralled with her. "I... wha-well yes. That is me." Who was she? Wait? That stuff actually had some merit to it?? She was completely floored that the mare that stood before her, was what she had wished. The feather and braided strand in her hair all but proved it! She had remembered placing it upon the alter and actually... Something from a long time past. This was really just mind blowing to her and she then realized she was staring.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Astraea... This is so strange to me." She said, being quite honest about it. That name.. What is it about that name? She flicked her ears against her skull for a moment and then lifted as she shook the confusion from her mind. What did it matter how, or why, just that it was. She was very pleased though and she had honestly never thought that this was something that was possible. "Have you traveled a long way?" She asked, trying to get a bit of an understanding of the female. Though she knew they would have plenty of time to get antiquated.

She could see that Amadahy was in a it of shock and she smiled as she finally came around. She figured it was strange to the flutter that such a thing had happened but it had. "Yes, I have traveled quite a great distance, but that is neither here nor there." She said warmly. She approached the smaller female and she pushed a strand of her hair out of her face and placed it behind her ear so she could see her face a bit better. There she goes. Much better. Astraea tried to keep her own mane under control but there was just so much of it.
"Shall we walk and talk and you can tell me a bit about yourself and I shall reciprocate in return." She suggested not wanting to be out here for too long. She was a bit tired and wanted to rest but they could talk on the way. "I would very much like to see where we shall be staying, if for the time being." She was sure that Amadahy would probably question what she had just said. But it was how Astraea was, she didn't like to be in one place for a long period of time. At least not yet anyway.

Walk and talk? Absolutely! "Oh yes! I would like that very much. Please follow me!" She said after the female had so kindly brushed a strand of her hair from her face. This was the best thing that had ever happened to her and she was quite excited about the whole thing. It was like having an older sister that she never had! Though she was curious about what she had said about "for now". Hmm. Would they be going somewhere? She wasn't sure if she was too keen at doing that.
Little did either of them remember, since at one point they both knew, but they had met a long time ago when they were both young fillies and Amadahy had placed the strands of beads into her mane and tail as a reminder that they would forever be friends. Though this would come to Amadahy before Astraea would remember because of her current memory issues. The thought was nagging at Amadahys mind and she knew she'd be able to figure it out eventually. She just wasn't putting one and one together just yet.
As she showed Astraea the way she began to tell her about herself and the place in which she was staying currently and the two of them disappeared into the waning light. Destined to become best of friends, for a second time in their lives.[WC: 1070]
