Greetings, staff! Is Lake Kindred the pet-based MMO that was hinted at in the past? Or is it more a proof of concept for just the battle system for this MMO? Greetings! Our Lake Kindred is a simple system and the start of a larger, potentially more interactive game. Ideally we would like to release updates on a regular basis including features that allow Gaians to fight each other, explore and much more. Of course, Gaia is no longer able to have teams of creatives and engineers spending 2+ years on a feature before its released like ZOMG or MOGA, so while initial releases aren't as full, we are taking user feedback seriously and addressing bugs and game design constantly.

Any way you guys are going to make the Lake Kindred game more balanced so everyone has a more equal chance at actually getting egg drops. I know of so many people, including myself, that is a higher level that has never gotten one egg drop at all, while some get multiple within their first few levels.
It's not fair to those who can't even get a chance to get anything but their starter and Lucky at level 10, without paying GC, when everyone wants a Stagony.
Currently everyone has the same chances to get eggs. Its all a matter of luck- they are simply balanced to appear randomly so in effect some users can win eggs very early in the game and others take a while. Anyone who has played a dungeon raid knows the frustration of rare drops. mrgreen
Currently we have a kickstarter to pick the next Gaian creature to be converted into a kin. Are you considering perhaps making a Kin Ticket or having a contest where users can design (at least name and art) kin?

Items/Games/Events(I think) When we get Kin Eggs for the new Game/Event/Etc. The Kins show up in our Kin Lineup, in game. This is fine. My beef is with how Kins NOT in our Battle party move our Battle Party Kins to other pages(oince you get past the one page of course). This makes it annoying to try and find them to make them sleep, use items on them, etc. The Question is....Why can not our Battle Party Kins STAY on the first page of the Line up or at least can be moved there by us?? I would think that since they are in the Battle Party, that it would make sense that all Battle Party members when in the Battle Party, would automatically show up in the first 5 spaces of the Kin Lineup.
This is very relevant to several fixes were are currently working on in the game and I recommend adding it to the Kindred suggestion thread in Site Feedback or in Bug Fixes on the event forum!

We won't be using the same art for summons in ZOMG in Lake Kindred since ZOMG was in flash and based in vector illustration, whereas Lake Kindred is all pixel! However, we are re-interpreting a lot of classic ZOMG monsters and summons and remaking them in the pixel style.

I just think it would be nice to know when things have been re-balanced, if drop-rates have been adjusted, when bugs fixed, and stuff like that. It'd be nice to have it all in one place. Pegacorn is coming, as are a variety of Zomg Animated. As you know, the style of Lake Kindred and ZOMG are different, so our artists have to re-create these creatures from scratch. Therefore, it might be a bit slower than comfortable for some users, but rest assured we are working on it!

Its entirely up to chance - there are many Lake Kindred players who have requested a way to trash eggs they have so many. You may just have had a spate of bad luck! Keep trying, you're bound to get one eventually.

The level up rewards we get from our Kins (specifically for Lucky and Stagony), will we still be able to get them after the event ends? I haven't had time to level up Lucky or Stagony, and I'd be disappointed if I couldn't get their rewards, specifically their companion items.
Once you obtain the Kindred from this event you can get their rewards at whatever pace you like.

I've noticed from hours of playing Lake Kindred that the drop rate for Refreshes is considerably higher than the drop rate for Antidotes, even in the lowest level stages (where no Kin is even a high enough lvl to use a skill that causes Wither) Could these drop rates be adjusted to at least even out? It does seem like Antidotes should be a more frequent drop than Refreshes. I've also noticed that the drop rate for Mega Heals is ridiculously low, and makes battling Sycamorte quite a chore x__x;;
Thank you for the feedback! We've adjusted the rates for Mega Heals, especially after adding Phantom Sycamorte. We will be making more adjustments as the game continues to make gameplay as even as possible.

As good a time to ask as any... After the good news of finding my capture seal, it seems many people have questions about the line right here... "This will allow a user to request a special colored version of their favorite Kin (one evolution only or non-evolution)" Specifically as it relates to multi-evolution Kin. Do they get to pick which stage of a multi stage evolution? Such as a Leafkit that then will never evolve? Or similarly a fully evolved Kin that has no early stages?
Congratulations!! The parameters are that you can only choose one evolution of a Kin to color. For example, you could request a blossom pink Saplynx, and it would be a separate item from the other evolutions. Or, you could choose to color a Cubdrop like blood, and it would not have an evolution.I hope that makes sense?

The Mystery Kindred Egg is still in the Cash Shop, and is still advertised as containing the Opal Kindred Ticket. However, the rules for said ticket state that the deadline to redeem it was August 7th, 2015. That's last Friday. 'sup with that? (I wouldn't have bought as many RIGs as I did over this time period if the deadline had been later. I would have waited for more discounts/increased chances. It's kind of a huge bummer, because money.)

Lake Kindred lite was designed for mobile. When using a mobile device, the main page will redirect you to the lite version. It was not actually meant to be the version accessible otherwise.

I love what you have done so far with our new Kindred game and the addition of you adding both the Grunny and the Prunny's. I was wondering if you would be doing the same for our dear Sno Yeti's? It would be awesome to have them included into kindred along with a possible evolution of what the ElfTech's did with them at S-Corp with the G-Virus. Just as how ElfTech247 described back in 2005.

The Yeti testing has been going well. They are very responsive to weapon equipping. 137 has attested to their marksmanship. They will most certainly rival Jack's forces should he try and pull anything.
Finally, the G-Virus seems to have taken on some interesting properties. When chilled, as happens to all things in the artic, it seems to form a biomechanical bond. This is an interesting symbiotic relationship- the mechanics are powered by natural cellular energy, while the organic material seems to gain the added function of the mechanics. I am certain furthering this research will prove vital to our success in bringing Santa back to life.
Mrs. Claus has been very anxious as well. She wants this done and Santa alive. I keep telling her these things take time. Usually it results in her screaming at me for various reasons. We're going as fast as we can. Weapons attachment and upgrades have been succeessful, and the biological properties from yeti testing might be the breakthrough we need. I haven't slept much lately, but at least it will all be over soon.

We didn't expect the Yetis to develop such aggressive tendancies when given a sample of the G-Virus. Two very curious things happened. We saw the symbiotic relationship form between animal and machine, but we also saw the Yeti gain an odd understanding of the weapon they were fused with. They suddenly knew how to use it like an expert. This is indeed very interesting; though it did result in the loss of security at the time.
Upon elimination of the problem Yetis, the mechanical parts fell from the lifeless bodies- perhaps they had nothing left to gain from their partner, or perhaps there was another factor at work. We will be looking into ways to implement this technology into the suit upgrades.
Santa has stabalized as well as someone in death can. His body has been prepared for reanimation. We are reasonably certain that the G-Virus, with the assistance of the mechanical suit, can bring Santa back to a fully functional level. We need about 2-3 more weeks for testing though, since we are not sure if this has any side effects we should be aware of.
As you can see I am very interested in S-Corp and the ElfTechs. I would love to see these experimental Sno Yeti's added also into Kindred like you did with the Grunny.whee

Currently you have about a 1/10 chance of getting an egg from Sycamorte. Luckily Pixicroak, Leafkit and Echo eggs aren't going anywhere and you will be able to continue play for them.

In Lake Kindred, I have yet to need to use a refresh potion and I get them incessantly. *eye twitch*
It would be nice to get more antidote potions, since it's possible to be poisoned early on but not need refresh. Maybe exclude refresh from the drop pool from the first stage please? Or increase the drop rate of antidote.
Especially since several of the new alchemy formulas require a number of them.

Lots of people are complaining about how long it takes to level up in the Lake Kindred game. A lot of us are busy with jobs, school, and family. Do you think that it would be possible to give us double experience weekends for the game? They do it with Call of Duty, I know my boyfriend raves about it or did when he was actively playing that game. You could probably give out cash discounts for Kindred items and stuff to so you make a profit and it adds to the hype.

This is something that we're happy to implement once it is possible. Lake Kindred is still a young and sprouting game and we'll continue to add not only more Kin to it and levels but more features as well. Something like EXP weekends would be included in an update in the future.

I have noticed that only the event Kin you got from the event can generate points for the team but a lot of people have multiple Kins they want to use for the event. I understand this rule was to prevent anyone from (ab)using their lv 50 Kin(s) for this event but wasn't it possible to make this restrictions a bit more lenient? And by that I mean only the Kin caught in the Zen Temple can score points for the team the user is on. Or a list of Kin that are exempted from the event restrictions.

Hello again gaia staff! The new lake Kinder game has been a ton of fun to play and I've noticed that the last two events have been the center of it and as usual, you've done a great job with it! However, I was wondering as a few other gaians if the game will continue to be the center of the up coming events! (Like for Halloween and for Christmas!) So will the game continue to be the big center or a big part of these events or will it be more of a minor thing for those events. (Like during the event a few new kin will be released for the holiday and that's going to be it.)
Lake Kindred won't be the only thing that we update exclusively for Halloween and Christmas, we would like to involve forum games, caroling, candy collecting, ect and other updates to events. However, it is something that Gaians enjoy getting rewards from and can be improved upon in many ways, so we will be pushing these updates as well.

Could we have some more transparency on the changes and updates made to Lake Kindred? There have been a LOT of changes made since its inception, from potion drop rates to skill effects, etc., but your official updates thread doesn't even cover as much as has been announced in the staff alerts (and the staff alerts definitely don't cover everything either).
Even if only going forward, it would be really nice to have a single dated log of all the changes and adjustments made - not just mass bug fixes or event updates. Sure, there's a booming community surrounding this game, but it's a little weird to have your userbase discover and spread word of changes in place of the game's developers, yeah?

Wealthy Nyaruma is very very rare, but is obtainable in the game. They are extremely lucrative and are equivalent to winning the rare drop in a GG, so we are keeping them extremely limited.

For the Summer of The Smackdown achievements, do you have to beat enemies with your starter or does it not matter? I'm asking this because I've beaten numerous Kokeshi, Somber Kokeshi, and Nyarumas.
I believe you can beat them with any of your Kin, only the point accumulation needs to be done with the Kindred Starter. I will double check to make sure.

About Lake Kindred, when can all of the eggs be unsoulbound? I would love to have the chance to give my extra eggs to those people that don't have the kin that I have far to many extra of. WHilst also looking to get kin that I have none of.
Most soulbound eggs won't be 'un-soulbound', but they do have a sellback value if you don't want them clogging your inventory. Also, some may be used in Alchemy in the future.

games/lake kindred I was wondering if there could come something like a challenge world/battle tower/colosseum, each stage (based on level) would hold a mob wave for you to slaughter, where the kindreds come at you one after another without leaving the battle scene, so that you can't get back your health instantly. At the end of it, if you managed to survive you get some better prizes, perhaps even points for completing a stage that count towards a weekly/daily competition with a hall of fame.
PVP would be sweet and we're definitely looking at making that possible.
Any chance you'll make the text a little easier to read in Lake Kindred? I often miss the 'miss' text when it displays, my eyes aren't that great. Adding a border or making the text brighter might help. I love the game, but it's a little hard to play when that happens, you know?

Many Users (myself included) who wish to collect all the Kin, or even just a certain few, are becoming frustrated at the lower drop rates in Zen Temple (it's obvious they've been lowered compared to Lake Kindred and the Wilds), as certain Kin remain out of reach regardless of how many are fought. So, this is my idea, inspired by another user: Would it be possible to add a "Kill Counter" system that rewards the player a one-time guaranteed Egg Drop after a certain number of kills for Kin that can drop their own eggs?
Basically, it'd be another method to obtain the Kin that gives the player a sense of certainty and progression. It can be different for each Kin at your discretion, but for an example let's give Nyaruma a Counter of 1000. As they appear often enough in Stages 5 and 6 that a high number is needed for those with Lv50 Kin to not get them too quickly. On the 1000th kill, you'd get a pop-up similar to the Level Up one stating that you've reached the goal and grants the Egg as the prize. The high number also prevents it from being abused by Mules, which I'm sure is a concern for the Devs. It gives players a reason to keep playing and leveling up Kin without being burnt out by the grind or the sheer luck factor, and there's still a chance to get the Egg by luck in-game meanwhile. It also offers an alternative to bosses in the event you can't get one out on time. Of course, the counter also assumes the Kin are a permanent addition, so the number may need to be adjusted for limited time Kin and such.
I hope you take this into consideration, as I really do want Lake Kindred to succeed and evolve, but focusing too much on luck will turn away the potential playerbase, and also a loss of funds due to people not wanting to spend money on a grindy luck-fest. Balance is key, and I believe this would be a good way to keep people interested, even through the grind.
That's a great idea and something that we will consider for future updates. A kill counter was implemented for this past event, but it would be fun to have an overall counter, wouldn't it?

Some of the Kins attack animation are fairly long which take the speed out of the battle. A good example of that would be Lucky the Cat and Cabochomp. Couldn't their attack animation be changed a bit so the battle goes a bit faster?

Can you please let us use items when we are asleep or paralyzed in the Lake Kindred game? In other games like the Pokemon ones and lots of other RPG's they let the player use items to boost health or get rid of sleeping or paralyzed statuses. When we get to a higher level and we get stuck with one of these statuses we cant move and the enemy can kill us off like it's nothing... It's not really fair. sweatdrop

That Pegacorn Fluff (pink fluff thing in the Zen Temple) That little s**t killed me in two turns. lol It killed my lvl 11 Kitsuko the Kitsune, that pegacorn fluff was lvl 12. Yes it is one lvl higher than me but it should not be able to kill something so close lvl wise in two turns. This thing is WAY over powered, please nerf this thing.

I'm on team Taru and I noticed that the sellback value for both Taru and Brilliant tanukis are only 500,000, unlike the 500,000,000 sellback for the rest of the temple kins.
Will you change this to match up to the other temple kins since regardless of teams? Since all area kins should have the same value.

When I leveled up my Lucky the Cat kin to lvl 3 I got like 10 billion gold as a prize. Now it was pretty awesome to get that kind of change from a game however this cant be good for inflation. Can you nerf some of the payouts? Personally I think that more items like RIG items, bundles, and recolors would be better instead of gold. We can sell the items if we want gold and with more items flooding the market we will get some stuff to deflate. Question is originally asked by Nenanah.
Lucky was an event only Kin and also a way for new players especially to afford consumables for Lake Kindred and possibly more Kin or even a nice item or two. We are leaning more towards item rewards in the more recent Kindred Drops, with gold as a reward for the highest levels or for specific rare Kindred.

This is because a large number of Kindred items were created before Paw versions were made. We are now generally including them into the level rewards of most Kin before Human sets.

I had an idea for a Lake Kindred raffle/lotto thing. Where the grand prize is a kin. Another user suggested that the losing tickets be consumables, like potions. It wouldn't have to be a brand new kin, that would be a lot for the artists to do. However, it may help people be interested. Maybe the tickets would be given based on the amount of creatures your kin KOs and their level? (the level that the kin you defeated was) Lvl 1 = 1 ticket Lvl 18 = 18 tickets And so on.
Would this be plausible?

One last question. The Wither ailment is one that is rather...perplexing. On paper it sounds useful, cause the ooponent to use more MP and stall them out, reducing their overall damage. However, due to MP Potions, the fact that enemy Kins don't have an MP Bar, and Wither typically being on Glass Cannon-type Kins, it's practically useless for the player and has only been threatening on Phantom Sycamorte. Could the Wither Ailment be reworked/adjusted so that it is of use to the player? My example would be decreasing the enemy's Damage stat by 1/4-1/2, giving it more use overall and making Refresh Potions more valuable to the player as a result.
While you can't see an enemy's MP bar, it is still there and being effected by the status. There are some especially powerful Kin that rely on their Magic to be potent. I agree with you though, that Wither needs some re-tooling.

Events: [Lake Kindred] I've noticed the Stamina for my Kin goes through some weird stuff. I don't think it's supposed to be this way. If one of my Kins is KO'd, they usually an extremely disproportionate amount of Stamina for some reason. I did some testing:

Several different Kin have glitched rewards at this time. It's a tad frustrating, especially with running a guide. Users have reported the following Kin with rewards that are just a blank screen. There may be more than the ones I've listed, but these were what I had marked down in my guide. -Jasper Cabochomp: Levels 4 & 9 -Prunny: Level 8 -Tanzanite Cabochomp: Level 46 -Kitsuko the Kitsune: Level 26 -Somber Kokeshi Doll: Level 11

Can we get the Bottle of Poison item either sealed again or fixed?
At this time Bottle of Poison, when used in battle, either causes a Run Time Error, or causes 50 damage to the enemy. It's been like this ever since they were unsealed. I love the idea of them doing 50 damage, but the description states that it inflicts poison and not direct damage.

Is there anyway you guys could make a Double EXP Potion for Kindred? Leveling up a kin can be tedious and get VERY boring after a time. It was make things more pleasant if there were a potion to help with leveling. I remember there being a double orb potion in zOMG so why not have something like that in Kindred?
You guys could also make a Luck Potion. The Luck Potion could increase chances for egg drops, ally potions, and skill potions.

For League Of Legends, Riot gives EXP bonuses for two reasons: 1. Holiday/sale related events 2. Rewarding the community for good behavior/to encourage activity (four reasons I guess? )
Anyway, Lake Kindred is pretty grindy and it can be daunting in higher levels. Weekends with EXP bonuses for victories would be pretty cool.
Also, to boost activity in the game, League does community events where players earn communal points for winning games. It'd be cool if you guys, during Gaia events I mean, had community stretch goals for victories in Lake Kindred, where we could earn points for killing mobs and we could work together towards unlocking prizes
Good suggestion! It's actually something we've already thought about doing, the biggest hurdle is that we have to actually develop it, test it, and make sure it works the way we want it to. Not to say the idea is impossible, but there is time that will be needed before we do it. Keep your eye out for future updates! You may just very well see this!

Will you guys ever consider implementing hot keys? The actions in LK are very repetitive and I've experienced wrist pain after 30-60 minutes of playtime. I've done some things on my part to help with this (i.e. frequent breaks), & while wrist pain isn't incredibly unusual in gaming, I'm sure changes to ensure more comfortable playing will help LK trainers play even longer.

I've noticed that the normal Nyaruma from Lake Kindred is soulbound in such a way that I cannot sell it back to the store and I cannot trash it or otherwise be rid of it. I wouldn't mind, except that I have two of them that I cannot get rid of. Can this be fixed/added?

I play Kindred on mobile, due to a lack of a desktop. Is there anyway to fix the lag when you encounter the tree demon? My game a lot of times will freeze up due to how badly it lags when I encounter tree satan and I have to exit out completely.

Are you guys aware how bugged out Sycamorte gets when he's poisoned? While he's poisoned if you use any potion there's about a 80% chance he'll heal himself then still attack, this is something that doesn't happen when he's not poisoned On top of that he seems very prone to just absorb some of my attacks too

You told us last weekend that there was an upgrade. Can you give us a list of which kins is removed/add as well as which kins' stats are modified?
People are quite curious about it.
We primarily focused on drops from various areas, adding rare Kin that weren't included previously as well as different gold amounts and items. Nothing was removed from these areas, but significantly more has been added. Additionally, some of the level up rewards for various Kin have been modified. We are also beginning to add framework for a new Lake Kindred feature.

Hello as usual staff! I sent Zero Omega a PM yesterday about this but, I feel the need to bring it up again, while I was grinding last night, I managed to get my Period Cabochomp to level 14 and there was no reward, I know someone has already mentioned that some kin have bugged rewards but, is there going to be a fix later so that everyone who had issues with this can get their rewards and prevent users from having an issue with this later on.

Not like a lot. A small change is alright. It's just that Ally Potions is pretty scarce in Lake Kindred and it's pretty useless to have Skill Potions for players who are already level 100. sweatdrop

Is the 4.5k-6k an intentional drop for Sycamortes in Stage 5 of Kindred Wilds? Or is this a mix-up with the coding?
I understand the 2bil drop reward instead, however it seems pointless and more frustrating to be rewarded with 4.5k-6k from a Boss Kin.
We have added several payouts for the Sycamorte, including rare Kin, these extremely rewarding payouts were balanced with a few duds, which occasionally include charge orbs and low gold.

I understand that the game needs money to continue but a bulk of the new kins released are rig exclusives and in the cash shop. I don't mind the ones in the cashshop but making them ungodly rare in rigs is a general annoyance and counterproductive as I feel the fun of the game is as in pokemon we want to collect them all but we cant really do that if there not in the game. and aside from the wealthy many users dont want to throw out 1 tril just for a kin [Im looking at you [KINDRED] Ember the Fox].
Some smaller lake kindred questions ninja Will we be able to switch up the order and make a team as well as name our kins. When fighting boss kins can we have it that if our kin dies we can use another as apposed to just spam potions and pray we don't get 1 shot. Or an alternative add a revive potion if your kin dies the next turn they revive with 25% health this will help with kins that put yours to sleep or paralyze like stagony and the kokeshi dolls as well as help with bosses.
Lake Kindred will continuously update with more creatures and areas to explore. We have more updates coming and all of the Kindred that are dropped in RIGs can be obtained in the game.
Teams and accessories that can protect and heal are some things that we are planning on to release as features in the future.

Would it be possible in the future to allow users to disable attack and kin animations in game and maybe have it auto disable for the lite version of the game?
Sycamorte's animation (when it's eye opens and flashes different colors) can trigger headaches and migraines. Some users, myself included, would like to be able to fight Sycamorte without having to cover up our computer screens or eyes every time it attacks.
This might also help users who are encountering lag.

Are there currently any plans on making Lake Kindred faster or more responsive because the gameplay is definitely fun and new but the slowness of it and how it takes minutes just to complete a simple task really turns me away from playing it.

Would it be possible to make the default attack in Lake Kindred never miss? The RNG-based evasion is the one thing about the game that irks me immensely, and it doesn't really add any value due to the solo nature of the game. I doubt you'd be willing to remove the Evasion mechanic completely, but having an option that never misses would be helpful, especially since the Death Dealer potions only deal 25 damage, and thus are effectively useless at higher levels and versus Sycamorte. The basic attack isn't massively strong, so it doesn't get much use after Lv1. Giving it 100% Accuracy would add a risk/reward strategy to the gameplay.

Is it possible to maybe insert GoFushion charms as kin drops in Lake Kindred? Not everyone uses Alchemy. Could you perhaps replace the Singes with some other potions in Kindred Wild level 5. They're useless to most people who are playing at that level and they have a VERY high drop rate. If not, maybe an Alchemy formula that uses them as an ingredient to formulate an antidote or mega heal or something? And is it also possible to make a formula that lets you trade in Prunnies for other kins? Because I've ended up getting waaay too many prunnies. The Phantom/Sycamorte Seeds have a VERY random drop rate. It would be helpful if you could make it less random, or at least increase the rare kin drop rate for the Phantom seeds. Finally, please work on the rewards given by Phantom Sycamortes. You've made them harder to fight but their drops aren't really worth it. At least nix the 2 mega heals. Ever since the Sycamorte Seed was added, I haven't gotten any Ally Plus potion drops from Sycamorte or Phantom Sycamorte (and prior to the addition they would occasionally drop 2 Ally Plus 100% potions). Can you please re-add the Ally Plus 50% potion to Sycamorte's list of drops? That would be greatly appreciated.
As an aside, I would be totally okay with removing the Gold drops from Phantom Sycamorte if they were replaced by Ally Plus 50% Potions. That would make facing him immensely worth it, especially if they dropped at a similar rate.
The way the drops are balanced will probably not be changed unless we decide to change it in the future. Ally Plus potions are meant to be pretty rare, so I don't see us adding them back in commonly anytime soon. Sorry. :c

There are many threads listing rewards you can expect to get from your Kin and I keep a personal record of growth myself. Would like to have a concrete idea of what's changed so I can plan how I train my pets (which to level first) etc. Thanks.
At the moment we don't have the resources to spec these changes out. I understand how it is frustrating, I have seen many threads on the forums and have posted in them myself. However the reality is that this is not our highest priority and we have other things (like events) we are trying to plan out/finish up at the moment.

We only had a few days when the labs were opened to quickly change focus and level TWO event kins for the shard splicing and jack achievements. We need more time. The labs should have been opened much earlier.

Out of curiosity, what kind of plans do you have for LK in November? Being a downtime month, I think adding in some Quality-of-Life updates (like Nicknaming and Kin Arrangement that doesn't require Firefox) would be nice. Though if you guys are just gonna prep for Xmas, I understand.

This may be a possibility in the future, but I don't anticipate it being in the near future and cannot guarantee it as an option. A good alternative to buying the shards from La Victoire might be to keep an eye on the Marketplace!

On the last day of the event and future events that have to do with Lake Kindred could you give us double the xp per kill, it doesn't have to be in all areas, only giving the boost in the event areas would be sufficient. The game is fun but grinding through levels to make our kin stronger is very time consuming... A lot of us have school and work that takes up most of our time... Would you please consider this?

How do you plan to sell the Splicing Shards in the future? More specifically, will they always be in Bundles, or can we expect Singles as well? Getting the Shard outright for 199 GC, with a pack of 2-3 Shards being 499, would be pretty awesome.
Due to some complexities in the coding of items like the Splice Items, they actually have to be in the form of a bundle to be released into a shop. We also like to stick with the bundles because it gives us a chance to include other potions or items that may be hard to come by!
We can definitely consider the idea of larger "Super Bundles" including more Splice Items in the future.

Not sure if you've seen my gripe thread over in the SF forum, if not then here you go. We really need a LK tab, those of us with thousands of items are having hell with item organization. I cant move my kins around and because of this I'm not sure of what is a double and what isn't. I like to keep one lunar and one solar of each kin, then it's recolors then I would like to keep my kins in groups that way the doubles are at the end so I can tell what my doubles are with ease. But with this set up you have (or should I say lack of one) we cant do this unless we want to sit at the computers for ages. Sure I could type it in to pull up the LK items all at once but even then it still wont let me sort them and it doesn't tell me if the kin is solar/lunar. You guys really need to figure something out, the organization of kins has been an issue since the game launched. You would think that you would have had something in place when the game launched like you did with zOMG! but you didn't for some reason, not this time. Please would you get something done? You keep shoving out new levels and new kins, now give us a way to organize and actually tell which one is solar/lunar.
We are working on the tab in inventory. The issues that you address cannot necessarily be addressed by the same people working on the other things you've listed.

Are the new Kin areas going to stay? Or will they, and ShadowJack, be going away? It would be a shame, given the fact that I know I was struggling to get hands on the seeds for alchemy, and I'd like to be able to keep farming for them.
They will be there to fight, however they will not drop their own eggs anymore.
Gotta say, seeing stuff like that is making me want to play this game less and less. Why would you introduce game elements like that, and discontinue using them/ giving access to them? Seems like a waste of resources.
They are from the event. You will still be able to fight them. And I never said they would be gone forever.

When we level up our kin, could we include in the screen that shows stat changed that a new skill was learned? I'm running a guide and one of the most common issues I have is users who do level certain kin don't give their kins a break from ally pot guzzling to check if they gained a new skill. It would be really helpful to at least have a screen or insert of "Obtained new skill!" so users can know when to check their skills.

The Game crashes every 5 Minutes with an "oh no" Message on a blank Page. On Chrome. I posted this Issue on the Bug Report Forum a Week ago, but no one knew anything about it. Same Issue occurs when two of my Friends play. Does anyone know what is causing it and how to fix it? The Game does seem to work on Firefox though. So whats wrong with Chrome I wonder? Can you recommend a certain Browser to play Lake Kindred?

Lake Kindred - Can we get an alternative to splicing please? What I mean is, a way to splice if we don't have both a lunar and Solar one. As it stands, you either have to have 2 of a Kin and HOPE they're opposites, or, use a splicing service/borrow from people. This is not ideal, as some people don't trust their Kins to be borrowed by people, or trading over their shards to be spliced. I propose having either a GOLD shop, or a feature within the game where, if you have one Kin, say an Ember the Spirited Fox, you can splice it with a "dummy" Kin as it were. That way, people wouldn't have to worry about having the proper Kin or people running off with their Kin.
Splicing is between two kin. c: If people decide to use a splicing or borrowing service, that's their decision.

In Lake Kindred can you please let us splice with the recolors of our kins? I have a solar echo and a lunar night echo, I'd like to be able to breed them together to get a ghost. Yes they are different colors but they are of the same breed. So can you please allow this, I mean animals of the same species but different breeds have offspring and same with humans of different races. Lets do it with kins.

Can you tell us the changes to drops done within the Shadow Labs? It would be very disappointing if they didn't make a change to make it worth grinding (Even level 50 kin lose purpose when you need 17,000 experience to next level) after the Halloween event went away.
The only changes that have been made are that the Kindred Kandy has been removed, as well as the Pumpkin Seeds, Labtech Notes, and Kin drops.

So as expected the Level for Splicing went up after the event, but it went up a tad too high...Instead of Lv25, could it be Lv15? Newer players won't reach Lv25 in a decent timeframe, and most Kin evolve at Lv15 as well, making it a more fitting and more accessible level to try out the new mechanic, yet still far enough from Lv1 that most won't get their Kin to that level in one day the hard way, while Lv25 can take anywhere from 4 days to over a week, depending on how much time the player has each day. Lv15 would thus allow more Player retention as it can be accessed sooner. Getting one Kin, let alone TWO, to Lv25 is no small task, and is turning players off from the game.

It's a bit annoying to try to flee and get attacked by a kindred 25-30 levels lower than me and be put to sleep or poisoned. The kin in Lake Kindred have gotten so overpowered, I'm actually discouraged to play the game anymore. I just got so tired of my level 15 Stagony missing three times in a row during battle and getting knocked out by opponents several levels below it, I didn't even bother participating in the Halloween event. PLEASE reduce the miss ratio and make the strengths and weaknesses of opposing kin more reasonable. It's highly frustrating playing a game where you lose to almost half of your opponents.
The miss rate has not been changed at all, it has always stayed the same. The more powerful kin in the Lab area, if that's what you're talking about, are meant to help people level up who have higher level kin.

Charge orbs have always been soulbound. In alchemy you can craft them into orb aggregates which can be sold. c:

Why aren't you taking our feedback about leveling up in Lake Kindred seriously? It's so tedious that people are ditching the game, no one from staff is addressing these posts in Site Feedback. The level 25 requirement for splicing is ridiculous, if the game wasn't so grindy and boring this probably wouldn't be an issue. Since no one isn't really addressing these issues or communicating with those that are posting these threads in Site Feedback it's showing me that this game may meet the same fate as ZOMG! No communication, feedback not taken seriously, Gaia cuts off the game because no one is buying into it anymore. You keep saying that you're thinking of ways to make it user friendly however each game update we take a step forward then it's like we take two steps back...
I have been addressing a lot of issues, and I've been very active in communicating with the LK community.
At the moment the splicing level will not be changed. It is a new feature and it is something that is meant to be worked towards.
There may be ways in the very near future of leveling up faster or easier. And we may have already began addressing this before all of the Site Feedback complaints even started. However we cannot always publicly announce everything that we are doing or that is planned.

Could the Lake Kindred forum get a sub-forum for trading Lake Kindred related items?
Currently posts selling LK items are being moved to the Game Item Exchange Forum. However, this is a fairly stagnant forum that by its own Forum Rules and Guidelines is not appropriate for such threads:
"In general, items that can be bought or sold in multiple quantities are ok here."
While LK potions may qualify under that rule, kins do not. It would be much easier for LK players if there was a forum for buying/selling LK items and kins near where the majority of LK discussion occurs, the Lake Kindred forum.
We won't be opening an Exchange forum exclusively for Lake Kindred game items, they'll be sold within Game Item Exchange as we allow any items from games to be sold there (including eggs, as they can only be used in the game). The rules are a bit out of date but will be updated in the coming weeks.

Fast forward, Cereus was released but I don't see a paw equip, paw rigs but not a [Animal] Cereus.
Will future kins be like this where will only randomly might get a paw equip for them? Or at the sacrifice of the human equip to create the paw one?

But what if we cant? Example, the shops don't load well on my computer, so I cant do alchemy. It's old and I'm broke so getting a new one isn't an option. Don't really see why you cant unbind them, especially since you unbound a bunch of stuff for LK like the kin drops.
With the amount of times I've gotten this question, I WOULD have unsoulbound the orbs if I could. However it is not as easy as it seems.
There was talk about (on November 3rd) about possibly adding a progress count for killing x amount of enemies in Lake Kindred for the achievements where it is necessary to have to kill x amount of enemies. Is this still being looked into?
We have a lot of new features that we are currently working on. This is on the list, but likely won't be implemented anytime soon, sorry!

Can Dark Stagony be re-released soon, along with Shadow Barkhest, Owlatte, and Candy Corn Skulverine? Hollow Howl isn't getting more out there of the last three, and in DS' case his RIG is no longer available. The listings on the MP are all over Lv1 as well, which makes them less desirable.

Asked this several times but haven't gotten a response.
I asked over a month ago about making cash shop kin craftable since its not fair for the rest of us that don't have the money to spend on gc that you can only get most of the CS kin that way or for an outrageous price in the mp. I was told they would do this but so far the only kin in Alchemy are the Halloween ones. Whats up with that? Are we going to get the CS ones or not?

I believe you had to get them through game or crafting. I'm not sure if you could get the achievement from getting kin through trades or buying them.

For a $15 kin, the Bloody Stagony is certainly lackluster as a fighter. Is the value more about being an eye candy? It is a good looking recolor, but that's about it. It had been good in the initial run, but its efficiency peters off mid levels. His skill set are strange than they do not reflect the MP cost. They seem to get weaker as the kin levels up instead of progressively stronger. It's an annoying quirk if that is what is meant to happen.
His other $15 peers are clearly the top-performing kins of the game. Pumpae at $5 and Cereus at $8 are likewise superior and they are far more affordable. This kin cannot even compare to the least of these.
I suggest a rebalancing of the stats and skills. You did do that to Pumpae post market so it's possible for you to do something like that. Giving a robust HP score and accuracy at least. For $15, it deserves to be up among the very best.
We actually do have plans to rebalance eventually. However, Cash Shop kin will not be affected negatively in any way. Something like this will happen in the near future, and there will be patch notes as well. c:

Question: Do you guys mind telling us how rare certain kin are from the Sycamorte Seeds? Because I have opened hundreds and have gotten nothing good. (I have been grinding my heart out since the beginning of October hoping to find certain kin). I am aware that there is statistic threads but I saw where one guy opened 1000 and got nothing but junk kin. Is there maybe a way we can make sycamorte seeds more rare from the tree but upping the chance of good kin? That way we don't end up with hundreds of worthless kin in our inventories.
Any Cash Shop kin will be pretty rare drops in game.

Because it is really annoying and confusing to have a Kin that you put up or are selling, get listed in available Kin in the game. If you store a Kin, it should not be available at all....same with selling it.

You know there are several threads until now where people write about how upset they are with this nerf+buff of Sycas. Are they ever going to be like they used to? It would be better if you could prevent people from hacking the game, rather than punishing everyone.
Will Sycas ever have 2-3 bil and not buff? A lot of people have abandoned the game since it's not worth it anymore. At this rate if you continue to nerf it and everything, you're going to close the game, just like zOMG. There has to be a solution to hacking other than this.
Sycamorte is meant to be a boss, so he will not necessarily be easy to beat. Not everyone will be able to defeat him, and not every kin, Cash Shop or not will be able to defeat him.

Games / Events - Lake Kindred i just wanna rq, since sycamortes are going to be buffed eventually? please don't buff its attack, some more hp is w/e but it would really suck to not be able to fight sycamortes with more common kin since they can knock off 600-700? hp in one hit. that's really lame, i mean, ok, what's super duper lame is the new $15 kin stats kinda suck and they have 701 hp at lvl 50..that's like...no??? $15 kin shouldn't be able to be one-shot or almost one-shot right?? idk just feel kinda jipped so kins are spose to get buffed too, right? more hp at the very least? mostly i'm just bummed for people who can't afford the expensive cash shop kin who already can't stand a chance against trees even though their rewards have become more suck .. no offense .. ok but charge orbs are just as bad as prunnies but also super bummed at how disappointing the $15 kin stats are they should be somewhere up there with sakura fluff shouldn't they :t sorry i just there's nothing fun about lk when you don't have kins that can kill the only thing that makes it worthwhile, the level grinding reeeeeeeeallly sucks esp later levels and ever other wild kin battle rewards don't make it so people who don't have loads of cash to spend can keep up with the marketplace, that was the best part of lk sad i actually was able to buy several things off my wishlist finally after YEARS of sitting there being super bummed bc i had absolutely no way to make enough gold it's just not really that fun to grind grind grind and that's it :<
Not every kin is priced according to its stats. Some are priced according to the drops that they have and the like. Some are priced that way for other reasons. Sakura Pegacorn only has two poses for an item drop, while the other 15$ kin have more in their set of items.

Games I know this has been brought to attention in ATS before, but you know the little presents you get in the camp area in LK? The presents, in my experience, have ALWAYS given me 500 gold, except for the first few days the feature launched. Staff said they should be giving other things, but if that is true, the odds are pretty bad to the point that I think it might be broken. I would really appreciate removing the gold output with those gifts and replacing them with a bunch of different potions or little items. 5 potions a day is much better than, uh, 2500 gold.

I am aware of that, but it's not a good idea at all to have Sakura be the only kin to beat him. You made a huge ******** mistake with this nerf+buff thing and if you don't want to lose LK players gradually, you better fix it soon.
Sakura isn't the only kin that can beat him. I've seen other people are still able to beat him with other kin.

I'm happy that you're asking us about what we think about the game but your survey didn't really cover much question wise. I wish you would have asked us to rate different areas of the game like ask us how we feel about the prize nerfs, how often kins drop, what we think about the time it takes to level up, the captcha, LK in future site events, and how we are able to organize them in our invos. I think you'd get a better grasp of what we think by asking us directly instead of relying on everyone to remember exactly what bothers them about the game. I like that you gave us an area to fill out what we think but since I hardly play it I didn't remember everything and I already submitted the survey so I cant go back and add to it. In the future you need to be more thorough with your questions that way you can get a more accurate response.
This was just an initial survey that we sent out to gather some preliminary data, don't expect it to be the only survey we're going to run for Kindred.
