MusicTaught by: Elliot Rules: Please only post when the title states a class is open. You may enter only two Nightmare's per stage at a time! Look below to see which activity is available for your character, and pick the appropriate activity for your Nightmares stage. Do not claim growth points for your Nightmare until the class is over and Argent or Kanna has quoted you stating you have passed. Should you do the assignment incorrectly they you will be quoted stating you did not pass the class. When your character turns in their homework assignment you should write a small in-character RP response of them handing the homework to the NPC. Any length can do.

I'm signing up! Username: Geyser Eelborn Student: Jurvik Instrument: Falster fife Song: I Dreamt Me a DreamPerformance: Jurvik volunteered to go first--he wanted to get his performance out of the way early so that he could enjoy his classmates' performances without worrying about his own. He had been studying the Falster fife for years--ever since he was a junior at Academy. He knew how to play it quite well, though there were still parts that were a little shriller than his classmates might have liked. He could see them wincing occasionally, but he kept his eyes on the professor. Jurvik was more concerned with what he would think--it wasn't exactly a well-known instrument, after all. Would Elliot think he had played it badly? Or would he understand what it was supposed to sound like? Overall, he thought the performance had gone rather well. He gave his professor a short bow and resumed his seat. His classmates gave him strange looks. He shrugged at them. He wasn't really bothered by their opinions, after all.

I'm signing up!Username: Roserain Student: Draven Instrument: Cello Song: The Shallows (sorry for the bells in the background, couldn't find a version without) Performance: Drav had never heard of the falster fife before, preferring strings himself. The music was interesting, but he couldn't help wincing from time to time. He had no idea if it was supposed to sound so shrill, but fifes seemed to be in general from what he remembered. After the performance, Drav uncrossed his arms and clapped politely. It wasn't his thing, but it was always good to learn something new, perhaps it was a cultural instrument? He made a note to look it up later. Getting the nod from the professor, Drav stood up and headed to the back of the classroom where his cello was leaned up in its case. Trying to hide his nerves, the way his stomach twisted angrily, Drav brought his cello to the front and pulled up a chair. He breathed slowly, taking the time to set up to try and calm himself and prepare to play. Testing the bow and strings for tone and pitch, he nodded and let Elliot know he was ready.
Getting the go ahead, he let out the breath he was holding and began. The piece wasn't particularly difficult, but his vibrato form was one of the things he was most proud of and the slow pace allowed him to showcase it. The notes were smooth with long-practice, no squeals, but he did wince when he realized he'd sped up just a bit, and brought the pace back down. That and uniform note strength were two things he had to work on, but performances always made him uneasy and overall for a first piece in the class he was pretty satisfied with it. Relaxing and leaning the neck back against his shoulder as he finished, Drav got up after a moment and went to put his cello away, returning to his seat and sighing with relief that his turn was over.
