Camelot was glad to have been granted a small rest before having to make the return trip to his Wonder, with Sherwood in tow. He was eager to see how Merlinite was healing, though, and if the half youma had taken the energy Camelot ordered him to take. Hopefully just being away from the city, in the peaceful nature of the Wonder, would have helped, as well.

It was the night after his previous run in with Sherwood, and he was waiting at the library, as arranged, for her to come and meet up with him. He was easy enough to spot, standing on the top of the library, powered up with his aura radiating as it was wont to do. Not something he could really control, but it generally went well for him.

He took a deep breath, smiling as he looked out across the city. It was quiet, but it was lovely. There was a strange peace in the air, which was rare for him. He felt like he was constantly on the go, these days. Was this a calm before the storm situation, or had he actually managed to find a break in the water?

He was not going to jinx anything, if he could avoid it.

Sherwood was very excited to go with Camelot to see Puffy. She'd never been to her own wonder, though it existed on this planet, and was eager to see what one looked like, especially one with a name like Camelot. She had ideas of what it should look like, from storybooks, but wondered if it could live up to her expectations.

KD ran across town, taking the bus when she had a large distance to cover. She was close to the library now, powering up when she got closer to jump just high enough to grab the bottom of the fire escape. She had told him she's wait for him on the roof, to stay out of sight of the people there to get their books.

She was eager to see Puffy and show him that she really did care about him. She hoped he was doing well. KD moved toward the middle of the roof and sat down, powering up, to be a quiet beacon for the knight when he would arrive. She was hitching a ride to his place, after all.

Camelot turned when he felt an aura light up the rooftop, smiling when he peered around one of the taller roof decorations to see the source of it. He was not surprised, of course, as they had arranged to meet up, but somehow he always felt like he was lucky not to be stood up.

Old habits, and bad self esteem, were hard to shake, he supposed.

"Good evening, Sherwood! It's nice to see you! Are you ready for our trip through time and space? Ah. Well. Not really either of those, when you think about it. That whole thing sounded cooler in my head. Well. Anyway. Are you ready to visit my Wonder?"

He grinned at her sheepishly. To his credit, the majesty of his Wonder, and his ability to travel to the real realm of Camelot, had never worn off on him. He was still excitable and always eager to visit, though these days he was even more excited to share it with others when he had the chance.

"Hi Papa!"

She hugged him warmly in greeting, a pleased smile on her lips. She genuinely loved the knight and was starting to think of him as family, as a sort of fatherly, grandfatherly, figure in her life. She kissed his cheek and moved away from him to let him speak, excited to be going anywhere magically. And to see her dragon friend, of course.

"I've never been to my wonder. Can you take me there, too? I don't know how to get there on my own."

First things first, of course. He was probably not going to be happy with the idea of being a cosmic taxi. But she was curious. Being a knight so far had been all about duty and fighting. It was nice to know there was some fun and reward for it out there.

"I'm ready when you are."

"You've never seen your Wonder? Ah, well, I can't take you there, myself, but some day you'll be able to go to your own Wonder. I should like to visit Sherwood sometime, myself, once you do learn how. It's not something I can teach you: it will come to you when you're ready. Just keep your head clear, and your mind open, hm?"

He smiled, never one to miss a chance for a small lesson in being a knight. He offered her his hand.

"Alright, just hold on to me, and I'll do the rest."

Traveling to his Wonder was not difficult for him, after becoming a Royal Knight. Repeated trips took it out of him, but he found he was not as limited as he had been before. He cleared his mind and recited his pledge without much delay, and soon enough the duo appeared on the soft, bright green grass of Camelot.

The air was light here, untouched by civilization as they were used to it. It was bright, the sun seemed to reach every inch of the land around them, and there was a gentle, cool breeze in the air. Just over the rolling hill there was the outline of the castle, where they would be going to meet with Merlinite.

"He's over there," Camelot pointed, in case there was any question. "Come on, it's not that far. Just over the hill. I think you'll like the castle."

Sherwood nodded and wrapped her arms around his bulky armor and tried to hang on for dear life. It didn't take nearly so long as she thought, nor was the trip as jolting as she expected. One moment they were at the library and the next they were in Camelot.

"Oh my God," she eeped.

The entire place just sprawled around her like something out of a story book. She turned in circles, trying to take it all in. It wasn't until her third turn or so, and his mention, that she spied the distant outline of a castle.

"It's a castle. A real castle!"

She nearly flailed as she looked from Camelot to the castle and then back again. It was all very enthralling, enchanting even.

"Merlinite is a dragon in a castle," she squealed, giddy by that fact. How many people could say they ever saw that in a lifetime? She gave an excited sound and took off toward the hill, wanting to see her Puffy and the rest of this place if he'd let her have the time and freedom to explore.

"This is so cool..."

Camelot smiled as he watched her, agreeing with her excitement and remembering every moment of his own, the first time he came here. He could not help but be delighted that she was so happy, having such pride and love for his Wonder, and seeing it bring out so much joy in someone else. It made him feel warm and fuzzy.

"Yes, it is," he laughed.

He let her run off, considering she had little chance of getting lost, and it was highly unlikely she would run in to any danger here. He had never found any trace of any, after all, and the only Chaos aura in the place was one they both seemed to know and trust rather well. Merlinite was no threat.

The half youma was healing up just fine, having taken the energy Camelot gave him and used its power to speed up the healing process. the peace and quiet was nice, as well, and he finally felt truly safe, even if it was for just a very short time. At least he knew, for now, that no Nega could get to him.

He felt two auras and hesitated, sitting at a table in the room Camelot had situated him in. He stood up but remained there, until the first of the auras came closer. This one was not Camelot, but obviously someone he had brought with him.

Who would he be bringing to visit...?

Sherwood burst through the door, happy from her job. The castle was much more impressive in person, though she hardly considered that when there was a dragon to find. She poked into a few rooms to search for him first and then moved deeper into the castle, feeling sort of like she belonged in one. She hoped there was one in Sherwood.

"Puffy!"

She finally found him and broke into a wide grin, presenting herself for a moment before running over to hug him. Enthusiasm was certainly one of her brightest qualities of the day.

Then she remembered he was hurt.

"Oh, shoot! Sorry! I was...excited."

She quickly pulled away just in case she had hurt him and looked a little awkward for a moment. She felt sheepish.

"So, um, how are you doing?"

Merlinite was surprised when Sherwood appeared, though he quickly grinned and moved to find the source of shouting that rang out in the castle. He waved as she ran toward him, though he had to catch her in a hug as she threw herself at him.

"Still with that name, huh?"

He was careful with his claws, but gave her as big a hug as he dared to. He was also pretty strong, and did not want to hurt her.

"Oh, hey, it's okay. Camelot gave me some of his energy and I'm feeling a ton better now. I think most of my injuries are healed up anyway. Just getting some strength back and then I'll be good to head home. It's uh... really nice here."

"That's good to hear," Camelot said, walking up and standing behind Sherwood, nodding his head at Merlinite in greeting. "She insisted on coming to see you. I didn't realize you knew each other. Puffy."

"Oh. Good. Now you know it. Great." Merlinite glared at Sherwood, but it was mostly comical. Mostly.

Was it a secret nickname? Had she broken some sort of rule cause it was just for them? Sherwood quickly looked between Camelot and Merlinite fearful she'd upset the dragon before she realized he was teasing her. After that she relaxed, grinning broadly. She even managed to look a little miffed, making a small sound of disapproval.

"I'll make you a name tag if you want to wear it."

That street went both ways with the teasing.

She looked around Camelot, the place, and wondered why Merlinite had to leave at all. It seemed nicer here and it wasn't like he was going to get hurt here or need help here. All in all it seemed to be free of crazed Generals and things that were actively trying to kill them.

Hell, why didn't they all just live in their Wonders?

"Papa Camelot, does he have to leave?"

The street went both ways on the nickname revealing, too.

Merlinite wrinkled his nose in distaste, bearing his fangs unintentionally as he did so. It just added to his look, though.

"Well, uh. Yes, I mean. There is no food here, as far as I know, though I suppose I could bring a supply... ah, but it would be very boring here, I imagine, after a while. Even with Kilgharrah for company."

Merlinite nodded his head, though he let Camelot do most of the talking for him. While it was a nice place to visit, he could not imagine staying there. The idea of hiding away from all his problems was great, but he could not just leave all his friends. Running and hiding, not doing what he needed to do because he was too scared to, was what got him into this mess in the first place.

"I don't mind staying here. Wait, Papa Camelot? Man, you are old, aren't you?" He grinned at Camelot, who looked very confused. "Anyway, I don't mind staying here to heal and for a break but I want to be able to help you guys in Destiny City, too."

"Lithiasaur"

Sherwood watched him, eyes widening a little when he revealed his fangs. She wasn't ready for that and it was new but, because she knew him, it didn't end up being scary. To her it was sort of like a puppy bearing its fangs in play, cute but a reminder of what it could mean, in a different situation. She wasn't in a hurry to put herself on his bad side, even if she did like to tease him.

"It's safer here," she asserted. "But, I guess even paradise could get boring."

Hell, being in a castle with nothing but sunshine was her idea of heaven. She hadn't been to her own wonder yet but she hoped it was something like this, considering her name and where it came from. Someday, maybe soon. She shook her head and grinned.

"You'll keep in touch, won't you?"

She didn't like the idea of him being alone in Destiny City, either, especially when she'd grown fond of him. Was fond of them both. She looked toward the elder knight and shrugged helplessly.

"Speaking of, I should get back. I'm sure Newgrange is waiting for me. I can't be late on him...again. Papa, can you take me back?"
