Nisha had gone out for a run to relax her mind and tire herself out before bed, and decided to jog her way back home as Talos instead. Her magic powers would lend her some extra energy to make the trip back, and besides, the sun was sinking below the buildings of Destiny City, leaving shadows in side streets. The dark-haired girl felt safer with the knowledge that, if she really needed to, she could probably punch through a brick wall and anything less durable. Even if it had been a while since she had run into anyone (or anything) particularly hostile.

... Before she got close to her neighborhood again, though, the Dark Mirror senshi thought she felt a presence nearby like one of the White Moon court. The aura was infuriatingly vague, and Talos could not pinpoint it, and so she climbed to the top of a house nearby to pace around the perimeter, and get a better look from above at who might be around tonight. Tired by her jog as she was, she was in a bit less of a mood for a fight than usual, but on the other hand, if the stranger turned out to be hostile, she figured she at least could take a shot at fighting another powered adversary. Talos imagined she was probably a little out of practice.

It felt to Tyche as if she was always looking to the sky for something, staring off into space after something she didn't understand. Which was true - understanding was not her strong point and even now, Tyche had to wonder what the point of being Tyche even was. She wouldn't argue the gift, her dress was pretty. One dark finger plucked at the hem of her skirt where it lay across her legs, staring not for the first time at the material as if she didn't believe it.

With no better answer finding her now than it ever had, she reclined back on the garden wall she had been sitting on, letting her back rest comfortably across the stones as one leg fell over the side and swished back and forth. Above her the stars stretched, wide and free, constellations she knew by heart. They never changed and never gave her answers - she usually preferred the clouds for their ever changing, playful puffs.

But tonight, as she lay there gazing up at the darkness, she did notice something different. It was hard for her to differentiate the feeling of a powered person from the odd sense she had as a civilian whenever a youma was nearby, but she was getting better at it. Her gaze flickered in the direction of Talos by instinct, trailing across the rooftops until she was able to pick out the silhouette of a person. Immediately, she sat back upright, letting both legs straddle the stone fence. For a moment she was frozen in anticipation, uncertainty - was this person going to hurt her? Did she need to run?

At last she settled for raising one hand, hesitantly, for a weak wave.

The motion in the low light caught the Dark Mirror senshi's attention, and she glanced towards the waving stranger before walking over to the edge of the rooftop closest to her. Of all possible reactions, Talos had not been expecting a wave, but it was something. After a moment's hesitation, she raised her own arm and gave a more confident wave back in response, then checked the ground below before hopping down to the sidewalk.

The heels of the dark-haired senshi's tall boots clicked on the pavement as she approached, and Talos kept a close eye on the other girl in case she wanted to try to surprise her. At the same time, she took in her appearance - blue-haired, and wearing a loose white seifuku in stark contrast to Talos' own. Just by looking, it was clear to the Senshi of Statues that the two of them were on different sides. But she also imagined the other senshi could feel some sort of aura from her, as well, and stopped a short distance off, remaining a bit tense as she addressed the girl seated on the low stone wall:

"Hey, who are you?" Talos attempted to sound tough, but found it a touch difficult to be harsh to another girl just sitting by a garden. And ... now that she had a better look at her, something about the blue-haired senshi seemed ... strangely familiar somehow.

The Senshi of luck watched silently as the girl approached, trying to decide what exactly she was. She had seen the negaverse and, in relation, plenty and plenty of youma. It was generally from afar - so that she could run away if things got ugly. But this girl? She felt the same, but still.. very different. She wasn't entirely sure what to call her and she wasn't entirely sure if she should be afraid. As with all things, she decided to wait until she was given a reason.

"Oh, um, Tyche." A pause. "I think. I'm not sure they don't have the wrong person." It didn't occur to her to ask who the other girl was - she often forgot. She drew one leg up onto the wall so that she could shift from straddling to letting both legs draped over one side. It would be easier to drop down and run from here if she had to, but even with how tough the girl seemed, she wasn't sure she was in danger.

Besides that, she looked incredibly.. familiar.

"You look like a dream." It was a blunt statement and she only belatedly tacked on, "well, my dream." Not that it made a single difference in the sense department.

"What!?" the dark-haired girl blurted in reply, hoping her dark skin hid her blush as she felt her cheeks grow warm. Talos realized that she recognized the other girl the same way, too, though, and shook her head as she struggled to recall what else there had been in that dream with the bluenette. Had she been friend or foe?

"Do you have weird mind powers or something?" she then demanded, eyes narrowing slightly as she clenched her fists. Though trying to remember the dream was like grasping fog in her mind, part of Talos wanted to hope that this Tyche girl was a friend. Or was that what the White Moon senshi wanted her to think? To lure her into a false sense of security?

"I think ... they do have the right person," the Senshi of Statues added reluctantly, finally letting her stance relax. Maybe it would be worth seeing if Tyche was a friend after all. If nothing else, Talos knew she could take a few punches. If the girl in the short white dress made any wrong moves, she could easily abandon her plan to be nice.

"... My name is Talos."

Tyche's eyebrows rose slightly at the blurted, flustered exclamation, though she wasn't entirely sure how to respond. Weird mind powers? Part of Tyche wanted to say no, but then, another part of her wanted to say yes. For a moment she was simply silent, caught in a familiar tongue-twist of answers. Once the thoughts and words subsided, she was more capable of picking out what she wanted to say.

"I don't think so," she began slowly, "but I remember a lot of things that don't exist. Zombies, fires, the future.." she trailed off as her eyes slid up to stare at the stars again. Whatever she was thinking now must have been similar to what had brought her out to stargaze in the first place. Tyche felt like a hundred people crammed into one little body.

The introduction, at least, grabbed her attention again.

"Talos. Of course you are." Her dreamy eyes focused again and her lips curled into a small, sweet little smile. Without considering if it would seem like a threat or not, she slowly slipped off of the wall and landed in the springy grass below. Now at eye level with the stranger, she gave her a more pointed look over. Tyche didn't know much about this world she had been shoved head first into, but she was learning, if slowly.

"You aren't the same as me." The blue eyes squinted slightly, causing the corners to crinkle. "But I don't know what you are."

"Oh, man, 'things that doesn't exist'," Talos exclaimed with sarcasm, "If your experience has been anything like mine, s**t basically stopped making sense the day you got flipped through a mirror and found you could put on magical clothes."

She took half a step back as Tyche hopped down to join her on the ground, but tried to remain tentatively friendly in posture. The dark-haired girl nodded slowly as she told her that she was different; she had felt it, too, but was not sure how to articulate what, exactly, was not the same between them. Something about their energies... some sort of aura bullshit. Almost maybe like the blue-haired girl were upside-down and backwards somehow, even though it was obvious to the Senshi of Statues that it was not a physical thing. They both stood on the same earth.

"... Yeah, I guess your experience hasn't been like mine, not entirely," she mused, frowning and putting a fingertip to her lips as she canted her head to one side. "Gonna guess your baptism into weird s**t didn't involve a mirror?"

Talos knew about the other factions, but had never really interacted with anyone from them too terribly much. The Negaverse were competitors, though not outright foes; the White Moon were the ones she should be primarily concerned with. They had to be saved. The "how" of it was not something she had given much thought, but, actually seeing a White Moon girl now made her realize it had to be about the mirrors.

At the mention of mirrors, Tyche's eyes widened noticeably, a dead give away before the darker girl had even bothered to ask her about them. A thousand words and questions bubbled up in throat and she bit them back, visibly tensing in a strained attempt not to word vomit ideas that likely made no sense. It was a learned practice - she had driven off potential friends one too many times with her ridiculous notions.

Or so her counselors had told her.

"No," she finally settled on a single word, letting her surprise and interest settle into one, wide and amused smile. "It was a cat." Which sounded almost as, if not more, ludicrous than a mirror but at least she kind of understood how the cats worked. Fairy godmothers, in tiny furry fashion. "I don't.. think we have mirrors. Well, at least, I don't have one." It made her think of a terrible horror movie she'd once seen and even if Talos didn't appear to be trapped in a demonic, alternate reality in which everything was backwards, she had to wonder if she kind of was.

The fingers of her right hand twitched and she shoved both arms behind her back, lacing the fingers together and keeping herself from reaching out to prod at the girl uninvited. In human form she would have done it, no questions asked, but humans weren't capable of killing her. Super hero life had been sobering, oddly.

"Did you not need a cat?" She paused and, almost as if she couldn't help herself, added - "Are you left handed?" Not all of her ridiculous, spur of the moment thoughts could be contained.
