The mountains. How long had it been since Loki had found him up here, shivering, and covered with snow? Reshi paused, thinking back, and shook his head. It wasn't his finest moment and he'd prefer not to remember it right now. After all, it was summer, and the are he was in wasn't covered with snow anymore. There were wildflowers as far as he could see, wafting and waving in the breeze. It was... Pleasant, he supposed. The opposite of what he'd been through before. Maybe the mountain was trying to show him that it wasn't as bad as he'd said it was? Or was this a different mountain? He huffed and adjusted his travel bag, before continuing forward.

"Maybe Bellatrix would like some flowers for her library..." He pondered, aloud, his brow furrowing. Wait... Why did he suddenly think she'd want flowers? She wasn't his mother, why should he give her gifts? He folded his arms and turned his eyes toward the horizon. A stupid passing whim. That's all it was.

Mitsuru had snuck out of camp especially early today. If she didn't then there would have been no way she could have ditched her companions. The boys were sweet and very supportive, but each was a little smothering in their care. Sometimes a girl just needed to breath!

So it came to pass that the tiny teen was left roaming the hillsides with little more than her staff and a sack of rope. After a few hours this, too, had become incredibly dull. As lovely as the landscape was it was...missing something. A new friend, perhaps; one that wouldn't advise her to do this, and do that. For hours she had set about making "friendship catchers" all over. Snares, covered holes in the ground, netted traps; the works. Today might have been a good day to explore, but it was also a good day to find one of her kind! And if one of her traps didn't get them, then Mitsuru wasn't sure what would.

She scurried to hide in a pile of brush, pulling her ridiculously thick hair close so it wouldn't snare on the brambles. And now...I wait.

Reshi continued on his way, the map he'd brought unfurled in his right hand. He'd studied this thing days before taking this trip and it still made little sense to him. Why were there so many paths on this mountain? Couldn't they have done well with just one? He grumbled and took a breath in, the clean mountain air billowing in and out with a wheeze. At least the area smelled nice instead of dusty and humid, like Bellatrix's castle. Maybe if he stayed out here long enough, his lungs would get used to breathing normally. He took a few steps forward, his foot kicking a stray stone, before suddenly slipping into the ground.

"AH! What th-A TRAP?!" He gasped, coughing. "OH, come on! I don't have time for this! HEL-" He coughed again. "Help!"

Mitsuru perked up from her hiding place, and turned towards the sound. This one wasn't that far away! Clapping her hands with a little squeal, the shaymin struggled out of her briar prison and used her staff to finally free herself. She ran barefoot down the mountainside, sliding on rough stones and leaping over upturned roots. The entire way she was torn between laughing and making 'whooping' noises. She didn't even have to wait all day for this one!

Almost as soon as she came upon the trap, she dropped her staff to the side and fell to her knees. Mitsuru pressed her hands to the lip of the whole and leaned over to inspect her treasure. She tried not to let her disappointment show tooooo much, though the groan and instant frown might have given it away. "You're white, but not the right kind." Mitsuru started to pull away, only intending to sit up but it might as well have been walking away entirely for the poor soul in the ground.

Reshi continued to cough while he gained his bearings and paused sharply when he heard a voice above him. Who... Who was that? He squinted, heaved a breath, and grasped at the sides of the hole.

"What do you mean by that?" He snapped as he clawed his way upward. "You made this hole? What's wrong with you?!"

His foot slipped when he was just about half way to the top, conjuring a growl from his throat, and landed him at the bottom again. He continued to climb, slip, and repeat until he was able to grasp onto a stone at the top and pull himself up to the top. He sat, dusted his clothes off, and glared daggers at Mitsuru.

"... Just who do you think you are?" He seethed. "Adults like you shouldn't be doing stupid things like this! Don't you know that people can get hurt when they fall?"

Hearing all the ruckus from the pit, Mitsuru turned back so she could lean over once more and watch his struggles. Her face was the perfect rendition of a pouting child. "There's nothing wrong with me! You're the one whose yelling and saying rude things." This wasn't the kind of new friend she'd wanted at all.

If he hadn't been so rude she might have helped him get to the top. As it stood, Mitsuru simply watched the feathered boy's adventures until he was up top with her. Surely if looks could kill then she would have been dead. It made her wary of him, and the bedraggled girl wrapped her arms around her bare knees. Her once white clothing was stained, ripped and weather worn, much like the rest of her. The only thing intact on Mitsuru was her wild hair, which stayed eternally bushy.

"I think I'm not an adult." She snapped. It was so out of character for Mitsuru to be cross, but he had pushed her there. Letting go of her legs, she moved them around to her side so she could sit easier. "I'm a...a...a not adult, not child." There was a word for that, but she couldn't think of it. "I didn't want anyone to get hurt! I just wanted to catch a friend, and I caught you instead." Mitsuru couldn't have kept the disappointment from her voice if she'd tried. Then, instantaneously, she burst into a smile, "Unless you want to be my friend? Do you?!"
