Sleep had come easily when the girl had finally stopped fighting it. She'd drifted off almost immediately, waking only enough(an hour or so later) to request something a little more comfortable to sleep in. Lovely as the little dress was, it did not make good sleepwear. She'd very blearily crawled out of the bed and sought out a bathroom in which to change into the t-shirt he'd given her, then more or less dropped back into it upon her return. She remembered, vaguely, the uncoordinated trek across the blankets to lay back down beside her handsome princes. She'd very drowsily murmured a question as to Hadaya's whereabouts, but didn't hear an answer if it ever came, drifting almost immediately back to sleep. Once or twice the girl had come close to waking--a noise, a motion, or maybe just the light from the window shining across her face--but had done little more than mumble incoherently before once again falling into that deep, sleeping beauty like sleep. It probably wasn't terribly surprising to anyone when she didn't wake the next morning after her arrival to the Darrow household. Then noon had come and gone, then dinner, then the sun was setting and it was night again, and the girl still didn't wake. Thirty-two hours in all. It was earlier afternoon by the time the young woman started to show any signs of life. She wasn't sure what woke her. It could have been the sound of gunshots from the tv across from the bed, or it could have been she'd finally just gotten enough sleep. Either way, hazel eyes opened slowly to a room that wasn't familiar to her at first. Haddy was there there though, curled up at her shoulder, and Nathan was sitting beside her with a controller in his hands. For a moment she just lay there, letting the memories of the other night return to her slowly. Mirrorspace, the conflict for the seal, the battle in the park. Bits and pieces came back, one after the other, until finally she remembered the crystal sword and the banishing of chaos from the silvery shard she'd held in her hands, and what had happened after. Purified. Her lips pulled into a smile, arms tightening around the pillow she'd been curled around, and with a long over due groan she rolled onto her back, stretching slender legs across the blankets, before tucking up against Nathan's hip.

Nathan looked at Navi and forgot his game immediately as she stirred. At the moment, he did not know what else to call her, so stuck to the name he knew in his head. He moved a bit closer to get a better look at her, brushing some of her messy hair from her face tenderly and smiling at her. It was a genuine, ear to ear smile.
It was a relief to see her stirring, and beginning to wake up. He understood she was tired, and did his best to take care of her while she was resting, but he would worry endlessly until she woke up. And he had been, though he did his best to mask it.
He fretted endlessly, and kept constant eye on her. There was food and water waiting and stocked on the table next to the bed, cleared off of all the usual things that sat on it for the purpose of being his care stand.
Hadaya had managed to make it into the room, after being abandoned downstairs, but it was not Nate who eventually came down for him. Instead, Tony had passed him on the stairs and saw his plight with the short legged monster dogs chasing him around, and helped him out by carrying him to the bedroom and making Nate let him stay. Tony was nice. Nate... maybe not so much.
Hadaya looked up when he felt her stirring and rubbed his head gently against her shoulder.
"You're awake! How are you feeling?"
"Are you okay?" Nate asked quietly, as if Hadaya had not said anything at all. He was not actually trying to annoy the poor cat, but his focus was so solely on Navi, it was hard for him to notice anything else.

Their reaction to her being awake lead her to believe a significant amount of time had passed since the night everything had changed. She looked up at Nate, trying to judge just how long based on her terribly relieved he appears. "How long have I been sleeping?" At a guess she would have said around 12 hours, but she suspected it had been longer. Frowning, she'd reach out to brush a hand over Haddy's head, smoothing his ears back before tapping him on the nose. "I don't mean to worry you both. It seems like that's all I've been doing lately." They had asked her questions though, and there was a small moment of thoughtful quiet as she concentrated on herself and Her body. Slender limbs were still sore, though not as bad as she would have expected, and there was a vague, lingering grogginess making her mind work slowly, but am that would likely pass once she started moving around. Looping an arm around Haddy, she abandoned the pillow and rolled onto her side so she was facing Nathan a little more squarely. "Not bad, really." Pale eyes dipped from his handsome face, and she chuckled. "Your little man is getting attacked." Her chin twitched towards the tv, small hand coming to rest at his hip. Properly awake, she finally had a chance to give the room the sort of curious, eager look she would have liked to give it before. It seemed fairly standard for a young man, except for the piano. Not the cleanest, but not a disaster, she took her time taking in the details until her attention fell to the plates of food on the table beside them. All at once she was starving, stomach offering up an impatient growl. "What's that?" It smelled amazing!

"Basically two days," Nate said, shaking his head slowly. A little less, but he doubted she needed the exact number, right? He could give it to her, down to the minute, but he did not want her to see just how worried and doting he had been while she was out. He basically never left her side, unless he absolutely had to.
And even then, he pushed it as long as he could.
"You were tired. Purifying took it out of you, you know. I mean. I can't imagine how tiring the whole thing was. Still, I prefer you to be awake, so if you could do a better job of that, now, that'd be good." He grinned at her teasingly, but of course, making jokes was how he masked his anxiety.
He looked up when he heard his character getting shot, letting out a curse and picking up his controller quickly in an effort to save things. He sighed, though, as the screen was splashed with blood and he was enthusiastically told he was dead.
"Ah. That's pork something or other my mom, er... Kyndall, made. She's been keeping the food coming, in case you needed it, so there are plenty of things to pick from. Drinks and everything, too."
Hadaya watched the duo, listening quietly and waiting for his turn to catch up. He would get one, right? Right?

She looked up at him, a little surprised. Two days. She'd slept away almost two days. No wonder she wasn't as sore as she should have been, she hadn't been awake for the worst of it. Something she was sort of grateful for, although the idea of Nate and the rest of the household worrying over her made her feel bad. She murmured another apology as she rolled up onto her knees to give him a kiss on the cheek, then leaned to look over the food on the table. Pork something. It looked delicious, even assuming it's had time to cool. Another rumbler from her stomach sent her closer until shevwas sitting cross-legged on the bed beside the table. There was indeed drinks, as well as silverware and a napkin. The latter she folded over her knee before reaching for the former. "Kyndall is Shalott," she said as she pulled the plate closer, adding a soft lit to her voice to make it a question. "She told me the other day that she was your step mother." How many days ago had that been? She couldn't remember. The first bite of food was mouth savoring and every bit as delicious as she'd hoped it would be. The second, considerably smaller, she offered to Haddy, smiling down at him. When she spoke though, it was directed at Nathan. "I think I've slept enough for a little while." A wink followed, lips ticking up on a coy little smile before she went back to eating. "So did I miss anything in the last two days?" Powered emergencies, notable news, famil discussions concerning her. Pale eyes lingered on his face as she chewed. She wasn't quite sure how to act here. Everything was so new, it left her feeling a little out of place, through no fault of anyone currently taking care of her.

"Oh, yeah, that's right. You can know all that now. Yeah. Kyndall is Shalott, and she married my dad, Tony. The librarian and Camelot, which I guess you knew already. They're cool. Both knights. I'm the only senshi as far as I know. Dogby hasn't awakened into anything yet, anyway."
He sighed, wondering if all powered families were like that. He was lucky, though, considering how much help he got from his parents and how much they understood about his secondary life. Things had been a lot harder when he thought he had to hide his identity from them.
Hadaya was all too happy to have some of the food, as she offered it, though he had been stealing some pieces when Nathan was too busy with his game to notice. He could not help himself: it smelled so good and it was right there. At least now he didn't have to feel guilty about it.
"Hm," Nate looked thoughtful, then shrugged, "if anything did happen, I didn't hear about it. I was here with you, though. Dad hasn't mentioned anything big, though something was going on with Merlinite, I guess. I don't really know. Seems pretty quiet, though, and even if it wasn't you have to rest and recover anyway so who cares?"
She was officially on a small vacation. Video games, breakfast in bed, and being doted on hand and foot were things she could look forward to.
Hadaya, as if sensing her hesitance and confusion, moved closer to her and made a soft 'mrrooww' noise as he nuzzled her reassuringly.

She listened while she ate, sneaking little bites down to Haddy every so often as Nate put civilian names to the powered faces she already knew. Tony, the librarian, was Camelot, Royal knight of earth. She had once tried to kill a mild mannered librarian who had a wife and, from the pictures down stairs, three kids. It sent a chill through her, a ripple of guilt, but it had been a long time since she and Camelot had fought. Her mind shifted back to the court she'd walked away from, the faces of those that cared for her, that she would have to seek out eventually, for better or for worst. It was a bit of a shock to realize she remembered all of them, and more of a shock when she turned her thoughts towards her civilian life. Everything was still there, the people she knew, her classes, her dreams. It was all there, except... There was an odd disconnect when she tried to put powered names to civilian faces, and vice versa. Whatever kept them from recognizing powered individuals from those they saw every day on the street, it was in play here as well. The more she tried to connect the dots, the more fuzzy the memories became, until she had to close her eyes, shake her head to clear her mind. Even if she could have...what could she have done about it? It wasn't as if she could walk up to any of them and tell them who she was. Whoever she'd known as a civilian, she was no longer going to have them in her life. The truth of it hit like a knife through the heart, a physical pain that brought a soft burn to her eyes, but she wasn't going to cry over it, not now. Not here, not not. Looking up again she dipped her chin in a nod of agreement, lips twitched up in an amused smile. "Doctor's orders?" Of course he wasn't going to let her rush out on patrol, and certainly not without him. She was expecting as much, and didn't mind. She was a bit shaky still in this new life anyways. Taking it easy was for the best. Haddy's soft headbutt to her arm had her lowering her fork back to her plate so she could pull him into her lap, bending over him to bump noses with the small cat. She gave him a soft kiss on the star, then offered him the bite she'd been about to eat once she'd straightened up again to return her attention to Nathan. "I'd like to ask your dad abut Merlinite later." The captain had put himself in danger to keep help her, she owed him a lot. More than she knew how to repay. "I'm happy to lounge around in your shirt all day, but at some point I might need some more clothing." She paused, thinking about it. "Even if it's just panties, bras." Those were important, and things you just didn't share with another person. "When we do go out on patrol, I've got some things hidden away in the community center." But that was for later, for now, she was content to stay right where she was. "No rush though, of course." Finishing her breakfast(lunch?), she pushed the plate away and took a drink from whatever glass was closest. Water, still a little cool, though any ice that had been in it had long ago melted. She drink half before setting it down as well.

"Clothes?"
Nate gave her a bland look, then shook his head after a long moment.
"That's something Kyndall will have to help you with. I love you, but I'm not helping you pick out panties."
He could just imagine himself trying to help her with something like that, and that was terrifying enough. There was no way he wanted to actually experience it. Kyndall would be happy to help, or if anything they could call Harmony over and see if the two girls could figure something out. He did want her to be comfortable, though, and to consider this place her home for now.
Until they could figure something else out, together.
"So I'm going to get a job," he said, staring at the TV screen now, starting up the level in his game again just for the distraction. Real life stuff was still pretty overwhelming. It was hard to admit he was an adult, and ready to be responsible. "And we can find a place together, you know? If you... wanted to, anyway. I don't know."

Pale eyes widened a touch, puzzled, at the look he gave her when she mentioned needing more underclothes until they had a chance to either go shopping for her, or, if at all possible, find a friendly member of her former court to go on a little excursion for her into her old apartment. The latter seemed sort of unlikely, so she wasn't going to hold her breath for it, given she didn't have a clue how her former court would take her leaving their ranks. A blink followed his protest, lips pulling up in a grin as she chuckled lightly in amusement. "Most guys, I think, would jump at the chance to help pick out their girlfriend's panties." She suspected he hadn't thought it through beyond the complications of sizes, styles, and the hundreds of options out there for women where bras and panties were concerned. It could seem a very daunting task. "But I'll ask Kyndall later. I'm sure we can figure something out." Still smiling, her gaze dipped to the cat in her lap again, fingers scratching under his chin and up along his cheeks before slipping behind his ears. It didn't stay on Haddy though, not as Nathan started talking again, voice gone rather serious. She lifted pale eyes to watch his profile as he mentioned finding a job, then finding a place. Not just for him, but for the both of them together. If she wanted to. Lifting Hadaya gently, she set him on the pillow she'd been using, then moved across the bed back to Nathan's side. Delicate fingers brushed his cheek, nudging him gently to get him to look at her again. "I would like that."

Nate looked at her skeptically, clearing not thinking of the benefits to going underwear shopping, and only thinking about the misery shopping tended to bring to him. He had never shopped for fun things with his girlfriend before, though, so the positives had not been properly weighed.
When she mentioned it, though, he tried to think what she could mean. The image of her trying on underwear and posing in it for him to see flash into his mind and he reconsidered his stance.
"Well. I guess I could... help..."
"I'll help!" Hadaya chimed in, and Nathan gave him a withering glare.
"No you won't."
Hadaya watched him as Elle picked him up, confused but immediately happier because he was being held. He ended up being put down, and he pouted a bit as the two love birds continued to pay more attention to each other then to him. Heaving a profound, kitty sized sigh, he settled down on the pillow and watched them with a slight pout as he put his head down on his paws.
Nate smiled at Elle, winking and trying to brush off how important the moment really was. So he asked her to live with him? It just made sense, right? Anyway she knew he loved her, and wanted to take care of her, so that meant doing some big, important things. Really, though, he was relieved and delighted.
"Good. That's the plan, then. You and me."

She'd had a feeling his tune would change once he'd properly realized all the possible advantages to accompanying her on a shopping trip. Haddy pipping up to offer his assistance hasn't been surprising at all, but the glare he received for the comment had the ginger swatting at Nathan's arm lightly as she murmured a "be nice" to him. At least before the more serious conversation had stolen away all he attention. "It's a good plan." The best plan, as far as the girl was concerned. She rose up on her knees, dropping one arm over his shoulders as she smoothed her palm along the stubble on his cheek with her other hand. There was a soft little smile on her lips, all mirth and mischief, as she leaned into him. "You and me," was murmured against his mouth. The barest breath of a kiss, thumb running along the line of his cheek bone. "And Haddy," she added, impishly, before cutting off any manner of protest with a proper kiss. Her tongue danced across his lower lip, teeth nibbling gently, and after a moment she was moving to slid a leg over his thighs so she was straddling his lap. Chest to chest, her hand slipped down his neck, dropping back to match the other over his shoulders. She wanted to drink him down. She wanted to wrap herself in the scent of his soap and skin. She wanted run the soft buds of her lips along every inch of that tall, lean frame. He was her prince, her Fiyero. Protector, friend, soulmate, lover. He meant so very very much to her, more than she thought she would ever be able to show him, but she would sure as hell try.

Nate sighed and nodded. He supposed they had no choice but to have a pet, as Elle seemed very attached to the little cat already, so there would be no prying him away from her. And Hadaya was clinging in his own right, so the two were basically stuck together. At least figuratively.
When Elle kissed him, he smiled and watched her as she moved to climb on to his lap. He put down his game controller, looking up at her with a dangerous, but temptingly so, look in his eye.
"Hold this thought," he purred, liking where it was going, but needing to take care of one last detail. He scooped her up and put her down on the bed for a moment so he could get up, picking up Hadaya by the scruff with one hand and heading to the door.
He dropped Hadaya and closed the door behind him, a lock clicking into place behind it. The cat looked very confused, turning around to look at the closed door, but he was completely unable to get back into the room. So he sat there, staring up at the doorknob, wondering what they were doing that needed him to be kicked out for.
It was probably better not to tell him.
