For two years now Aludra had been doing this senshi gig. Over those two years she had been beaten up, burnt and generally been manhandled in a lot of unfortunate ways. And yet she knew it could have been far worse. The burns on her hands were mostly gone now and her broken ribs had healed completely. Yet they had marked her somewhere inside, added that extra layer of fear of ‘what if it happens again?’. Aludra had done her very best to conquer her own fears. If nothing else, she was resilient. She would keep getting up again, trying to make the world a better place, until somebody put her down for good. Not exactly a fun thought for a fourteen year to have but there it was and all she could do was try and be as strong as she could be. Which of course meant some sort of training. It was what you did right? Every fighter had to train before a match. Otherwise they wouldn’t be a fighter. It was all about honing your skills. Not that Aludra was even sure how to start which was why she was out in the wood reading a manual on karate moves and practicing them on a tree.

Merlinite had spotted the senshi from not too far off, though he followed her at a distance until she came to stop by some trees and began to practice her moves on them. He supposed that was as good a tactic as any, though he doubted a tree would offer her the most when it came to feedback.
Moving forward slowly, on all fours, he crawled closer to her before he pulled his body into a perching position, legs coiled under him, hands resting between his knees, tail swinging behind him thoughtfully.
"Do you need any help?"
He knew his aura was easy to spot, as twisted by Chaos as it was. And it was not the most comforting of things, especially for a white moon senshi, to feel. It was the aura of a monster, the worst kind of Chaos soldier, but he was actually a pretty good guy.
With fangs, horns, a wing and a tail.

In a move that she would instantly come to regret, Aludra’s fist hit the tree. It instantly grazed the skin off her knuckles and she hissed in pain, waving her hand around and muttering, ‘stupid stupid’ under her breath. It made the moment she noticed the ominous aura even more noticeable, with a complete and sudden lack of movement. Aludra froze. It was not comforting at all. She’d fought monsters before and had no love for youma. She did not want to fight one now, not when she was so underprepared. ‘You don’t get to be prepared’, she reminded herself and fought back the urge to panic. Instead she took in a few steadying breath and turned to face her foe. Oh. ‘Do you need any help?’To start with the question seemed genuine and innocent enough and despite the nasty aura, this guy seemed more human than monster. His face held no malice and if he’d wanted to, her moment frozen to the spot would have been the perfect time to attack. “What are you?” She asked, studying him with a little frown.

"Uh. Well. My name is Dennis. I'm a... uhm. I guess technically I'm a General of the Negaverse that's been turned into half a youma. Mostly people just seem to notice my aura, and then the fact that I'm a dragon. But I don't want to hurt you, I promise."
He offered her a smile, looking a bit nervous. It was very difficult, he had learned, to explain who he was and what he was about in a short period, and he was still learning how to cut it down to just the facts.
"I wanted to be a knight, but I didn't quiet get there. Still, I'm just trying to help the White Moon and not let the whole... chaos... thing stop me. So uh. If you wanted a sparring partner better than that tree, I could help."
He did have a lot of fight experience, and he did actually like training others.

It was a lot to take in and a lot to consider. The smile didn’t match the aura but she couldn’t hold that against him. How could she judge when she’d lived the darkness? How could she turn him away with she’d embraced both Amethyst and Astrophyllite without question? Aludra believed wholeheartedly that darkness could turn to light. All your needed was someone who believed in you. "It’s nice to meet you, Dennis. My name is Aludra," she beamed at him and stepped forward, offering the hand with the scraped knuckles to shake. "I’m sorry if I looked kinda scared. I haven’t had much fun with youma." She was already itching to touch his wing and tail but that would be rude- at least until their second meeting. "But I’m really glad that you want to be a Knight. I’m absolutely certain you can find a way if you want to." She’s relaxed into the interaction, putting aside exactly what he was in favour of who he was. “I’d really appreciate your help.”

"Nice to meet you, too, Aludra," Merlinite said, swinging his tail behind him and looking rather content. This was going well so far, considering, and that was always a good thing. He hated when they had to fight first, then wanted to talk. Always harder to deal with that way.
Talking was just a lot more simple.
"Yeah, most folks don't like youma and I can't say I don't blame you. I don't think I ever had much fun with them, even when I was in the Negaverse."
Youma had always been creepy to him, and he just stayed away from them as much as he could. It was a little funny that he turned into one now. At least, half way turned into one. So. Half way funny.
"Great! I'm a pretty good punching bag, I can tell you that. Feel free to attack me, and I'll help you train whatever you're trying to get better at!"

Jumping straight into a fight was never a good idea for a Chibi with no offensive capabilities. Talking it out had always held a lot more appeal. “Well, they don’t tend to be as polite as you.” She gave a crooked little smile, curling her hand into a fist and remembering a time not so long ago, the fire and the burn. “Well, okay,” she chirped but didn’t make a move, not even sure where to begin. “Um, I guess I want to be better at… not getting hit. And when I have to hit, I’d like it to count?” Enough to make a difference.

Merlinite watched her, not expecting her to be able to hit too hard. She was a chibi after all, right? Of course, he was not actually all that familiar with how chibi senshi ranked up against normal ones, as his interactions with them had been very limited. He could not remember actually fighting one.
"Alright, well, if you want to land a hit, you have to keep your eye on your enemy. Some of them might be pretty quick."
He charged at her, though he had no intention of hurting her. He moved on his hands and feet, down on all fours, and looked rather like a lizard with his tail sticking out behind him. He stopped short in front of her, turning around and swinging his tail to try and sweep her feet out from under her.
Of course, he went slower than he would have if he was really trying to fight someone. Instead, he was just showing her what could happen, and giving her a chance to test her reactions. Beyond all that, he wanted to see what her gut told her to do, and what her basic fighting level was like.

Lithiasaur *SCREAMS* I didn't see this quote aaah. Even if he was going fairly slow, which she did notice in the few seconds it took him to reach her, it was intimidating to be charged at by someone who was part-youma. There was half a second where she hesitated and then years of Senshi instinct kicked in. Aludra jumped, letting the tail sweep along beneath her but when the move her presented with a prime target, she didn’t take it. In a real fight, she always looked for some sort of weapon. A large stick, a rock, anything. Without it she felt powerless. Instead she automatically attempted to put space between them by backing up.

There was definitely an intimidation factor to being part dragon that Merlinite was becoming more and more aware of, when he fought. Just being a big guy with a wing and claws was an advantage, without even actually using the powers and skills he now had. People tended not to want to be slashed at, after all, and were not generally fond of monsters.
For better or worse, in his case, but he was learning to use what he could.
In this case, though, he was not trying to hurt anyone at all.
"Good!" he said, when she dodged his tail, though she missed her chance to attack bare handed. "No follow through? You have to take your chances to attack! You don't know when you'll get them. What are you doing?"
He moved after her, not letting her get the space she needed and taking an open palmed swipe at her, hard enough to hurt if he made contact but not to rip with his claws.

"It’s hard! I don’t actually want to hurt you!" She said, nearly tripping over her own feet as he moved towards her. She barely managed to dodge the open palmed swipe, actually felt it brush past her. It would probably laughable that she thought her attacks could even hurt a half-youma dragon man but the thought was still there. Try harder! Aludra stumbled back again and the abruptly reversed her direction, using momentum to try and straight up elbow him in the stomach.

"you're not going to hurt me! Have you seen me recently? I'm made of scales!" he had a lot of built in armor these days, and of course being a Youma at a General's power level gave him a good cushion for absorbing hits.
He could take a lot of abuse: he was well aware of how badly he could get the crap beaten out of him before it became a problem.
And he healed easily enough, though sometimes it required energy to do so. The last time he had been badly wounded, Camelot had allowed him to take some energy from the Royal Knight to heal with, while hiding him at his Wonder. It had been a very rough time, but he also experienced some of the most honest kindness he had seen, and it was from the White Moon. That was why he was so dedicated to them now, and wanted to repay every favor he was ever shown.
He was surprised by her sudden attack, though, and grunted as she elbowed him in the gut. She was able to land the solid hit, and he stumbled back with a laugh, and a puff of air.
"Good! see? That's not so hard, is it?"

He was right. He was clearly far stronger than her with dragon scales but that didn’t stop the mental barrier she created. Nice person=don’t hurt them! But this wasn’t the time for that. This was training and you couldn’t train without throwing a punch. Aludra felt her attack connect and as he stumbled back, only just managed to stop herself from tumbling over. She allowed herself one proud smile. “Okay, let’s try it again.” Lithiasaur getting my s**t together xD;
