After finally coming to a decision about the type of app that he wanted to was going to make, Liryn had moved onto phase 2 - researching torch apps.

It was something that had taken a while since as it turned out there were quite a few different torch apps out there.

After checking out both the Kindle appstore and Google Play via Arian’s laptop, he had eventually ended up - for the most part - browsing through Google Play due to the fact that the Play store had so much more torch apps on offer.

Oh and he had looked through a few youtube videos.on step by step instructions on how to build an app from scratch just to remind himself of the process.

Perhaps he could have just gone and asked Ash - after all Ash was a real whizz on technology.

But.

But… He kind of wanted to do this one - to do this little project on his own.

Besides he could always run it by Ash if once he’d tried it, it didn't work as it was supposed to.

Hopefully it would work as it was supposed to though since he was making sure to do his research and to go through as many ‘how to’ things as he could get his paws on.

During his research he had come across two sorts of torch apps. The first worked by causing the phone screen to light up with a bright light, whilst the second worked by causing a beam of light to be emitted through the phone’s camera.

It had been this second type that he had seen in action when he had had his eureka moment up on the grassy knoll above the children’s playground and thus the one that he had decided to make. There was also the factor that a beam of light would perhaps be more useful than having the senshi phone screen light up really brightly and Liryn wanted to make the very best app he could…

Although that might have been because at that point he had started thinking that a senshi phone torch would come in very handing for exploring senshi home worlds and given that he was a kitty that liked to travel to as many senshi home worlds as he could find senshi to take him, having something to light the way in the evenings was something that would come in very handy - especially in the later hours.

Of course his research hadn’t just consisted of reading through ‘how to guides’ and listening to youtube step by steps because he had also talked Arian into letting him download a couple of free build your own app makers.

It had taken a few goes - well okay it had taken quite a lot of goes and it had meant completely sidelining his improving Arian and Orah’s alarm clocks project - however eventually Liryn felt that he was finally ready for the next phase of his project.

Which brought him to phase 4 and to Cat HQ - because for this next part he needed to use the computers - specifically the mauvian computers - because a non mauvian laptop wasn't really going to do much for the senshi phones.

So he had pulled out the photocopies of his research from his pocket and then logged in and gotten to work.

It had taken a while - most of a day really - but by the end of it he had his app.

For a few moments he stared at the flash light icon with the green icon sitting in settings next to Ash's distress signal app and then he used his paws to turn off the computer and gathered up his notes into his subspace pocket.

There was just one last phase for him to do before he could declare his little app project a success and for that he was going to need a few volunteers - senshi volunteers.
