Word traveled fast among the wild pokemon of Zatao. A shaymin had found a valley perfect for a large group of pokemon, and away from humans, or so the rumors had said. A meeting place had been designated by the shaymin, located at the base of what the humans called the Kesfas Mountains. Whether by whim or determination, you've decided to make the trek to Shaymin's Sanctum to see it for yourself. Arriving at the meeting point, you see that you are not alone - wild pokemon of all kinds are already there, having no doubt heard the same rumors as you. Strangely, there is no sign of the shaymin in question. Maybe you should ask the other wild pokemon if they've seen any sign of them?

Rei trotted closer to the group of gathered pokemon, his ears perked as he surveyed the scene. He'd come on a whim after hearing the unusual rumor, but it seems he wasn't the only one who wished to investigate it. It was hard to tell how many pokemon were there, but there seemed to be a variety.
He scanned the crowd again to see if there was anyone he knew, then realized he didn't spot the Shaymin. Odd. Was it late? Or was it early, thought nobody was coming, and left? Or perhaps it had meant to meet everyone somewhere nearby? He started moving among the crowd, sniffing around to see if he could catch the scent of it. Not that he was certain what it would smell like, but he could start by sorting through the smells of pokemon he had encountered before, and figuring out which he hadn't.

Goliath wove through the underbrush towards the supposed location he'd heard in a rumor. The rumor was an interesting mention of a pokemon he had never heard of before. His curiosity was piqued, however, he remained a bit skeptical.
As he drew near to the clearing, he spotted a crowd of many different wild pokemon. Grumbling about hating crowds to himself, he moved toward the group hoping to find a decent place to sit without many problems. Going through the crowd he didn't hear much about Shaymin, the rumored pokemon, being there. Surly if it was in the clearing the pokemon would be talking about it. His nerves were frayed by the time he arrived at a place in the crowd that he was comfortable with. He was certain that today would not be a good day to enjoy.

Domovoy lazily floated through the forest. The wilderness made him feel uneasy. He was a city pokemon that haunted apartments and old houses. Haunt being a term used loosely, since he rarely caused harm or mischief to the house owners. No, he was a peaceful, if sometimes grouchy, house spirit. He had been drawn away from his usual territory by rumors of a Shaymin, and the old woman who owned the old house he was currently milling about in had her grandkids over this weekend.
"Glupyye deti," he muttered. He couldn't stand them. So a trip to this meeting place didn't seem too bad to Domo.
The Gengar slowed when he saw the gathering of pokemon in the clearing. It seemed as if the rumors had drawn quite the crowd. Domo hated crowds.
"Pah," he huffed. He could always slip into another pokemon's shadow, but he didn't want to draw the ire of the growing group. Domo resigned himself to floating near the outskirts of the crowd. He was close enough to catch snippets of conversations, but made no effort to start any of his own. (( Please quote me if you'd like to interact! Domo is a grumpy old man, but he means no harm ))

Skitty had woken up near by the mountain, unsure what was going on she decided that she would stick around and see what was going on, listening to those around her mentioning something about a Shaymin, a Shaymin wasn't the usual thing you saw around these parts but the Skitty stretched and stood up and moved closer to the mountain, curious more so now about what was to happen.

Tybalt vibrated with excitement. His mother had sent out several scouts to follow the rumor about a hidden sanctuary, but -he- was the one who dug up the choicest bit of info - a meeting was to occur at the foot of these very mountains! Hah! That scrawny rattata hadn't stood a chance against his superior interrogation techniques, he grinned. His grin fell, though, a when his bouncy trot brought him into the clearing. Ugh. So many pokemon were already at the rendezvous point. He huffed and hunched his shoulders. Guess that intel wasn't so hard to come by, after all. ((edit: I'm also free to quote for interactions - I wouldn't force Tybalt's likely unpleasant company on anyone, so if you'd like to interact with him, quote or message me to start or disguss?))

Marmalade was taking a nap under an overhanging bush. It had taken her a long time to get to this mountain; lopunny may be swift, but they could not keep it up for long. She had reached this place last night, with others who had heard of the Shaymin's blessed place, but now as the many voices woke her, she noticed many more had come. Many pokemon who turned up looked gleeful or relieved until they copped an eyeful of all the other pokemon and scowled or got ugly looks on their faces. Marmalade could not understand why; a place without humans should be a place for all pokemon who wanted to live there, not just one pokemon and shaymin. Shaymin wasn't hiding the fact it had found a human-free place, it was surely the one spreading the news. Marmalade thought of going back to sleep just to avoid the drama, but she thought perhaps that things would happen now and she did not want to miss out. She crawled out from the hanging fronds of the bush and hopped down to the base of the mountain where the grass ended and rubble began.

Quinn continued to study his piece of human literature with indifference as other Pokemon tittered about him from the rumor being spread. Apparently, the lovely Shaymin he hadn't the glory of meeting had discovered an area where they could all live in peace away from the influence of people. While that came off as fine and dandy, the Mew had no interest in being away from humans--in fact, he wanted to be closer to them! They piqued his interest and studying their incredibly complex livelihood meant more to him than going on an adventure.
Too bad he was losing all of his research assistants to this little trip. He snorted when he remembered corralling them into an open field and giving them an earful regarding his research, only to be booed and called selfish. Yes, I was thinking only of myself at the time, he thought to himself. But I was also thinking of the betterment of Pokemon society as well! The more we know of humans, the better we can avoid the risks of their destruction or, even worse, being caught!
His internal debate and resistance ended up causing him to give in. I can't study on my own, there are too many things to consider, Quinn thought, reading the same sentence twice; so caught up in his thoughts he couldn't even concentrate, so he just flipped the page of his book and glared at the letters within. Besides it isn't... that far out of the way. Just a... few more miles from town... Sigh.
((Quote me if you'd like to interact with Quinn!))

Mokosh usually could be found on the Carona Coast but even she caught rumor of Shaymin's little sanctuary. She was intrigued even if her friend Meredith had scoffed at it saying it was only a rumor and had pointed out that it was likely there would be no water for the jellyfish pokemon.
Still Mokosh traveled from her cold water home to even colder waters. She knew that the meeting was near the northern mountains but how to get to the meeting spot. There were no real rivers up there that she knew of. Bobbing in the water she considered how to get on the land without dragging herself up there. As she considered this a Pelipper swooped down and scooped her up thinking she was something to eat. She stung him with her tentacles after he flew over the land and he quickly dropped her from the air.
Hitting some trees on her way down Mokosh now considered her situation. Looks like she really will be dragging herself. She only hoped she didn't dry out while she tried to make it to some water or the meeting spot. Reaching out her tentacles she began to drag/flop herself forward.
Honestly this mode of travel wasn't easy or very.... productive. Finally she spotted a pokemon running in, what she hoped, the direction of the meeting spot. She reached out a tentacle and grabbed on. The pokemon turned around and saw her and freaked. It ended up dragging her a good ways in the direction she needed to go but it was very bumpy. When it finally shook her off she was worse for the wear and there was this strange slimy trail behind her.
Beginning to think she wasn't going to make it Mokosh noticed some Mankeys swinging from the trees. Hm.. now that seemed to be a good way to travel. She should be able to do that too if only she could reach the branches. After much trying and stretching Mokosh still hadn't reached any branches so she could swing her way to the meeting place. Seeing a Mankey climb up the tree with its tail hanging down she flopped over to it. She reached up and grabbed its tail which seemed to irritate it. It yelled at her some and with a good flick of its tail sent her flying up into the branches.
She caught onto one and her head flipped down making the world upside down. Hm... this would be interesting. She began to swing and reached out to the next branch. She traveled this way to the meeting spot but often had to stop as she was getting slimy and it was making it hard to grip the trees. Finally spotting the group she hung from a branch above one of the pokemon. A bunch of the slime on her slide down to the top of her head (which was closest to the ground as she was hanging upside down) and then dripped off. It looked like it could either hit the pokemon below her or just miss it. Whoops at she she wasn't falling on it..... Her tentacles began slip and now she was falling.((Quote me if you want to be the pokemon who Mokosh is hanging over/about to fall on. Also she's going to need a buddy to help her travel... and possibly keep her wet. XP And totally feel free to call me on just making stuff up for how she made it here. lol ))

Jax ((the rental electrike)) arrived at the appointed meeting place, observing all the other Pokemon whom had heard Shaymin's call. She yawns, tired from her long trek and looks around, looking to spot any pogey that looks friendly enough with whom she could start up a conversation. She trotted around, spotting many different pokemon, none of whom she knew.

Among the Pokemon gathered in the mountains Chi hadn't actually heard the news of Shaymin's Sanctum. Or maybe she had, but was too busy tracking Rei down. She was focused, and everything else was background noise to the Growlithe. Looking up she spotted a familiar scarf and moved to pounce the fellow canine.

Rei was investigating the scents around him, trying to sort out which he hadn't encountered before, when he heard a suspicious noise behind him. He looked up to investigate, just in time to see a bundle of pink fluff rushing towards him. He managed to jump to the side, narrowly missing being pounced on. "Chi! Is that any way to behave?" he said disapprovingly. "What will all these pokemon think if you go around jumping on people?"

{ Please quote me if you want to interact with Barneby the Caterpie. }
Slowly inching his way along, the tiny, nervous Caterpie scooted along the grand route between the small home he kept tucked safely within, to the rumored spot that a Shaymin had said would be a haven from the dangers of humans. What a nice world that sounded like... how could Barneby pass up such a chance? Even if it meant risking his life actually getting there... surely it would be worth it.
And so he'd mustered up all the minute courage he possessed, and headed for the dedicated location.
As he slowly began to breach the area, his easy inching slowed further, antenna twitching delicately upon his head, large eyes blinking as he took in the sight of others present at the gathering. So many.... sunken posture wilting further, he kept moving forward, but his nerves got the best of him, making a noticeable distance be kept between him and the strangers.

Domo noticed the small nervous bug pokemon as it inched forward and settled just a little ahead of the ghost pokemon's floating form. Weighing the pros and cons of socializing to himself, he sunk down to the ground, landing with a small 'thup' behind the Caterpie. If he had to talk to anyone, he'd rather it be someone quiet and on the outskirts like he was.
"Privet, small one. I am called Domovoy. You hear these things? These rumors, da?"

As the wild pokemon waited for the shaymin to appear, a green masquerain showed up. She flew around the gathered pokemon, trying to get their attention. "Hey, listen!" She repeated the words an increasingly annoying amount of times before she felt she had everyone's attention. "You guys are allllllll here for the place the shaymin found, right~??" Looking around, she saw a number of the wild pokemon nod. "Alright~! I'm your guide to the sanctum! My name is Lain, so you guys can call me that! Or just, 'hey, you!'. I answer to that, too!"Continuing to flutter in place, she turned and gestured to the bushes behind her. "Alright~. So! The path isn't actually a path. Not yet, anyways. So you guys who have to walk, sorry~! We're goin' through the brush - well, you are, anyways. I'm going to just fly above it, obviously!" Lain laughed as if she had made a joke that would be funny to someone - anyone - other than her. "Let's go!" And with that, she fluttered over towards the bushes. And now it's time for them PRO Tips and Tricks! If you haven't yet posted, don't worry about it, just act like you've been here from the start. <3 You can respond to all the prompts when you post if you like, or you can just say that you've totally been here all along. Whichever works.
