"Na-na-mi Ki-mi-ko!" Kohaku's voice echos through the trees, drawing the syllables of her sister's name out in an impatient and childish way. She flicked her tails, mimicking the action of her mother, but stumbled, not quite having the same grace as Rennoa did, she made coordinating three fluffy long appendages look so easy.
The kitten huffed and moved on again, her tall ears twisting and turning, her amber eyes scanning the underbrush. Nana had to be around here somewhere. She just had to. Mom would get mad if they wandered too far from home.

"It is unjust!" She yelled. Pointing a digit at the frog. "That fly did nothing to you!" She growled. The frog only ribbited, and jumped away. "HEY COME BACK HERE!" Jumping in to the pond. After a few minutes sloppily flopping her paws around, and gasping for air that she had took entirely too long to come up for. A lily pad covered most of her face, and her hair covered her eyes. "WHERE ARE YOU MURDER!!! WHERE! WHERE!" Flop. Flop. Flop.
Then a ribbit errupted from the top of her head. Not only did she have the lily pad on her head, but the frog too. Whom seemed unphased by her non sense yelling.
"YOU!" Throwing her hands over her head and dragging herself down. The frog nonchalantly jumping back in to the pond. After the next few minutes, she threw herself on the bank. Exhausted of the capture and escape of the criminal. Sprawling her abdomen against the soft grass that was more mud than grass.
The yelled propped her ears. "WHAT!" She yelled out. Not knowing exactly whom it was that was interrupting her interrogation. Huffing and throwing her head back to let the smack of her hair backward.

"Nanami... you're a mess." Haku had followed the sound of splashing and flopping, calling out her sister's name now and again until there was a return call. Now she stood over Nanami with a stern face, except it didn't last long again, she burst into peals of laughter, falling to the ground and rolling about.
"Nana. That look on your face, and your hair..." Kohaku crawled closer and flicked at a tadpole that was caught up in her sister's bangs, freeing it and then snapping it up quickly between her teeth. She paused for a second, as if she might turn and drop the frogling back into the water but it was not to be, instead she swallowed it whole and grinned.

"Yea yea~ All in the name of the law." Rolling her eyes and pulling up just slightly more.. "NO DON"T HAKU!" Then ...she ate the tadpole. "No no no~ my sister's a murder!!" Flopping with her arms stretched out on the bank. Looking up at the sky. "Why did you have to eat the frog's babies! He was also a murder and now you are too!" Pulling her face down with her paws, finally giving up on the matter.
These were the games she played. Most of the time, alone. As it would annoy her siblings to continuously play cops and robbers.
"What are you doing out in the field anyways Haku.." Rolling back over and dragging her drenched self on to the bank.Shaking herself off, irritated for not being able to catch that villain!

Haku moved to the edge of the water and spat out the frog spawn, she had only pretended to swallow it, just to get under Nana's skin. Not that she wouldn't have eaten it given the chance, she just enjoyed teasing Nanami more.
"The frog isn't a murderer any more than I am or you are. It has to eat or else it would die." She stated plainly, slipping into the pond and swimming around, scattering tadpoles and little fish, she had her eyes on bigger prey. Always willing to play games with Nana.
"Looking for you mostly," she answered, still paddling about with minute kicks of her back legs, the weight of her tails made her slow. "I wanted to play."

"I come out~ you go back in. I go in, you come back out." She heavily sighed overly dramatic before sliding her way back in to the water. Doggy paddling after her sister. "I'm surprised your left mum alone. Or rather.. that she let you leave." She had an overly protective side to her, as if she were scared that they'd disappear one day. Her tiny puffed tail being her propeller. "Well I already arrested the frog murderer. He's on the run. Hmm.. We can play... fox and the hound? But we're all wet.. it'd be too easy. Or.. or.. We can race! but your butts too big." Then she started laughing and grabbed on to her. "Maybe we can catch a few things and bring it home. So da doesn't have to bring so much. Yus?"
Paddling away then dunking her head to see the hundreds of tadpoles. Her cheeks puffed out. As a fish went straight in front of her face and blew bubbles at her. Then she popped her head out to inhale the air. "Oh-oh! Or we can go to grampa's house!" Which was quite an adventure to go alone. A few hours maybe.

"Oh, did you want to be alone?" Haku blinked as Nana sighed, though joined her in the water. It wouldn't be any easier to catch that frog now that they were both splashing about, ah well. It seemed that Nana had already grown tired of her game and wanted to play something new instead.
"You're surprised I left mum's side, Nana?" Haku shook her head and blew bubbles, what a silly idea. As overprotective as Rennoa might be, she had six kittens to look after, if one or two were determined to slip away, only the most cunning would get to play around freely.
The next words out of Nanami's mouth pulled Kohaku from her train of thought, "My butt is not too big! I have three tails, its not easy to coordinate them--" Her rebuttal was cut off as she sunk beneath the water from Nana's weight and Haku flailed and splashed about until Nanami released her, ideas still trailing from her mouth a mile a minute.
"It has been a while since we've seen gramps," Haku said, spitting water. The ocean was nicer for fishing, than dirty ponds as well. Haku swam to the edge of the pond and drug herself out, shaking to shed water and her tails being weighed down, looking like a trio of drown rats until she shook them out. "Let's go!"

Dragging herself, and tossing her body to each side to let off the excess water from her. Still drenched, but at least she was a little fluffed up. Turning back.. "We're going....?" Almost surprised that she would agree. "Thassss it then fatbutt." Shaking her body yet again. Then off she went.
Turning back to her and helping her out of the water. Nuzzling her cheek. "If you want.. I can carry yea..Or carry your tails...Whichever is fatter.." Chuckling as she put a paw on the other's face. "Let's go. I miss grandpa........I miss his stories..." Circling around her sister and going under her tails and lifting them. "Gunna be weird to walk again huh ...Better?" As she lifted the tails upon her shoulders. "

Kohaku would always indulge in Nanami's games and encourage her to do things they'd potentially get in trouble for. Haku had perfected her apologetic face, whether or not it swayed their mother's ire at their misbehavior depended on Rennoa's mood, so it wasn't exactly fool-proof.
Haku kept shaking her body and kicking out her legs as they trotted off, giving her tails the occasional whip crack like movement until they weren't so heavy with water, not that they were keeping her from making forward progress.
"Nana..." Kohaku sighed as her sister's teasing continued on and on, mostly she could deal and return it in kind, this time she decided to turn on Nana, pouncing her and rolling them through the grass.
"I AM NOT a fat-butt!"
Each word punctuated with a n** on Nanami's tuft-lacking ears. After she untangled herself and her tails, getting up and giving a huff, nose in the air and kicking grass in Nana's direction.

She laughed wholesomely, and for that she roared at her. Then a puff of smoke came out of her. She blinked at her nose where small dark puff came out of. Her eye widened, "Did you SEE that SIS!? Omgomgomgodess!!! Fanning down her mouth, rolling over and opening her mouth wide, Trying to speak in the process but not wanting to close her mouth for a direct pronunciation.
"LOOUUUKK - LOOUUUK"
Her thickened tail waving excitedly. "DUIID EYY BREEFF FFIIUURR?? CEUK CEUK!" With her mouth, there were no signs of fire of any kind, except maybe the roof of her mouth was slightly charred, "EYY CUUEENN TTASSE IUUT!"

As Haku had her back to Nanami she entirely missed the puff of smoke from her sister's maw. The roar didn't get much of a reaction out of Kohaku either, but her sister's antics did get the lawless kit to turn a curious eye.
Not being able to understand a word of what Nana was saying, Kohaku did move closer and take a peek, but only for half a second before turning and kicking more grass at the tuftless one. "Yeah, your mouth is pretty big, Nami. You didn't have to show me, it's obvious from how loud you always are."
Giving another hard shake of her body and tails, Haku pointed herself in the direction of their Grandfather's home and set off at a trot.

"No~ smoke came out of it! I swear!" As soon as her sister got off of her, she puffed up like a porcupine, just without the needles. "I toldya to check me!" After running after her. It was a few miles, not too long of a walk.
Following after her sister, until the smell of the sweet ocean came sweeping between the trees. They will be there soon- drawing in like a fly to a light- she began running, and running til finally... Victory. Wagging her tail. "GRAAAAPPPAAAAA!!!!!" She yelled out. Looking about, the breeze moving her fur about.
"GRAAPPAA!!" But she didn't hear anything... She turned to her sister, he was usually in view but.. he was no where to be found. "Haku... wheres grapa?" Lowering her ears. "It has to be... a MYSTERY! He could be kitnapped! Or-or MUUURRDDDERRREEDDDD~~~" She said in a spooky voice then began to bounce up, down and around sniffing about for any clues.

"I didn't see it," though she might have smelled it, that smokey smell could've been anything really, no reason to believe it came out of her sister. So Kohaku stuck her nose in the air and trotted along, still not willing to forgive Nami for the name calling. She hadn't apologized or anything.
The trip didn't take long but the pond water evaporated from her fur along the way. The pond smell lingered in her fur and she wanted to go and dunk herself into the ocean to wash it away, even if it meant getting soaked again, but Nanami pointing out that grandpa wasn't answering her call came first.
"Nana! Don't say terrible things like that," she cautioned, flicking her tails at her sister, not because she believed that saying bad things would make it come true, but rather that was something she wanted to say herself. If the good sister was saying that bad things where would that leave her!? Stuck saying the nice things...
"Grandpa's not a kit and he'd beat up anyone that tried anything like that... maybe he went to visit grunkle Sobie?" Still it was worth playing along and sniffing around for clues with Nami. Her games were fun to derail, when she didn't derail them first.

Chi Sohma Maybe it was easier for anyone else to assume the best, but there was a mystery to be solved and she was more than ready to solve it. "He wouldn't be with grunkle and not tell those copy birds to tell us." Mocking birds, creatures that the forest would use to communicate. He would have SAID something. It was unlike him, auntie Jeiyana would of sent a message. Shes always around.
She sniffed around. She didn't see him nor smell him. Her paws made it to where the water brushed against them and looked in to the water. Far and wide. No one in sight. Then she hopping to the ocean cavern that Tsu had lived in for some time, even would take shelter from storms. "GRAAPPAA!" She yelled, and the echo bounced back at her several times over. No one answered.
Then she saw all of Tsu's belongings all around and some were gone completely!
Panic began to sink in- "Haku!!" Turning tail and running towards where she last saw her. Then saw a huge lump of something next to her. With long hair that seemed to be drenched. "I"LL SAVE YOU!!!" Running thenn jumping as high as she could. Latched on like a cat and bit down. She muffled "UNPAW MY SISTER!!!"
A whimper came out, and he stumbled about before landing on the side where he had not been attacked. "Little ones! Little ones! MY KITS!"
"We're not your kits your murferer!" She muffled with a mouthful of his thick skin and fur.
A wholesome laugh bubbled upon. "You have quite the grip! Mother should be proud!" Even though it hurt, he rose his arm and watched as gravity made her fur fall, and he- upside down to her. The familiar eye patch- the yellow eye. She looked down. Peg leg. "GRAAPAA!!" She let go of her bite but flailed and held tight against his arm. "WHAA!!! Lemme down!!!!"
Kits were so much fun. Slowly he lowered his arm to have her jump off. "Grapa! I thought you were murrfered- all your stuff is gone! Some in the sea!"
He waved his head back to have his fur smack against his head sharply. "AH.. Two of you rascals coming to bite old men!- " Days before this- he had spiraled down a depressive slope but finally. Sobie came to rescue him.. For once, someone rescued him, from himself, no less. He was moving... but how could he, when everyone knew he was here. Everyone knew this to be his home. He nuzzled Haku. "I am not murrfered... But I do have a mission for you. Find grunkle Sobie." Licking Nana. "He might know where some of my stuff is..and I think- presents for you two!" He said excitedly mysteriously.

"You haven't even asked the copybirds if they have a message from grandpa yet, Nami." Haku rolled her eyes and tilted her face up, chirping and trilling to coax any nearby birds down from the treetops, while Nami moved from shore to cave, seeking their missing grandfather. ...If they'd come for her, she had in the past used the birds as pouncing practice, and so they'd become more than a little wary of Kohaku.
Before any birds could could be tempted, Nami was already off on some other tangent and it seemed that Haku would be the butt of yet another joke when she saw Nami rushing at her, completely missing the fact that Tsu was nearby until after the pounce and bite.
Haku rushed to Tsu's side and bit down on Nami's tail, giving it a sharp tug for causing her to worry in the first place. "Grandpa, grandpa, you were here after all... that's what I get for listening to Nanami the wrong."
She sat and listened to the instructions. Putting two and two together, she knew just where to go to find Sobie and turned to race off before Nami, giving herself a big head start.Meanwhile, Sobie was right where Kohaku expected him to be. The stubborn old man has a gentle streak a mile wide and a soft spot for kits a mile deep. At this moment he was sifting through his own, as well as Tsu's belongings. Arranging 'his' space into 'their' space. A calm had settled over him, though his fretting didn't leave him completely, that Tsu would be close at hand from now on was what he'd been pushing for for a long while now. It would be good for them both he was certain.
