The first place people see upon entering the gates, the courtyard is where many students come to hang out, relax, do work. Things of that nature. For the staff, there is a private area near the gates where staff can smoke in a designated zone.

Sam walked into the courtyard and looked at the school it was a wonderful sight, it was beautiful better than any place he had been to lately. he walked a little bit more and set his bag down before looking around. he really hadn't seen this many trees in a while, given he slept all the way here. Sam was a quiet one and not one for trouble. he normally kept his head down, didnt talk nor did he trust people he was a helpful person in a way mostly stopping bad things in the process of them happening. He sat down at one of the tables and put his bag beside him as he took out a binder of papers he was paranoid about the death of his mother and uncle and how come the police weren't looking into it. Why they just said that it was suicide it had to be more than that. the papers were a bunch of different 'theories' he had and what a good time to look at them when he first gets to the school right....

She had gone over all the new students the files, so when she passed one of the new students, she stopped. His name was...Sam, wasn't it? He looked like he was focused. "Is everything alright, Mister Notori?"

Sam jumped a bit when he heard his name and started to put his papers away before he turned to see it was Alinese the headmistress "oh um yes, everything is fine." he said in a sort of shakey voice he may have looked like the tough guy on the outside but on the inside that was a different story "You must be the headmistress.." he said as he looked at her, she was quit the sight for sore eyes, she was stunning "i-i was just getting my thought together before i went to the dorms, or to get my schedule." he said and slipped the binder into his bag "i thought you would be busy with all the students around, you dont seem busy or stressed"

Sam sat for a moment in silance looking at the ground "How safe, is this place?" he asked he was no stranger to harmful places and thinking a place was safe when it really wasnt "and you being the headmistress probably already know my past and with your powers, im guessing i you really wanted to know what i was doing you could have looked into my thoughts." he looked at her with a little shrug "I tend to to me research on people no matter how hard it its, if you know my past then youll know why i do that." he looked back down and laughed at himself "Im sorry im rambling you probably have better things to do." he said and turned to face the table so his back was to her

She continued to smile as Sam turned away from her, apologizing for his ramblings. "Sam, I have dedicated everything to this academy. Trust me when I say there is nothing better than helping my charges. Whether it's talking personal or helping with work."

He let out a sigh relaxing his body "Sorry iv been so paranoid about things, I guess maybe not trusting the people you meet, and leaving yourself isolated does have a tole on the body and mind." he laughed at himself and stood up he was a rather tall and burly but in a good way "Hi im Sam Notori, its nice to meet you Alinese, Headmistress" he said in hopes she would see he wanted to start over, in introducing himself

"oh, yea." he said as he ran a hand threw his shaggy hair. "starting a new school aint the most fun thing." he said with a short laugh then put his hands in his pockets. "I mean its probably harder for people who left friends and family behind." he said half talking to himself.
