Since the moment that Leto had joined the Dark Mirror Court, she had been a Senshi that was devoted to Ares and the Court's cause. Every single day, she went above and beyond the energy draining quotas. Every day she strove to be the soldier that Ares had aspired for her to be.
Every day she patrolled- sacrificing herself and her civilian life for the good of the Court. The Court was her life and the Court was her family and without it and them she had nothing.
So that was where she was on July 20th- patrolling in the run down part of Destiny City, her Wraiths happily flitting through the people that they drained.
The Eternal Senshi had her arms crossed over her chest as she watched them become corporeal, a grin upon her face. It had always brought her pride when she watched her strange creatures drain the strangers that she hunted. Unfortunately for Leto, however, the party-for-one in her head was cut short. The grin disappeared, her mouth dipping into a frown. First there was an expression of confusion, then her eyebrows furrowed as she felt the surge of pain in her chest. Her arms uncrossed and her hand clutched at the tiny black-winged broach at her chest, her starseed feeling as if it was being tugged.
Something was wrong. It was wrong and it had Leto instantly panicking.
Then, as quickly as the pain had come on, it disappeared and had Leto gasping for a breath and she had backed herself to a brick wall to steady herself. She took a moment to take a few deep breaths, to try and wrap her head around what had just happened. Realizing that her victims had dropped to the ground unconscious, she summoned her Wraiths back into their shards, tucked them away into her bracer, and ran to the nearest mirror. It all came as second nature to her- she dove through the cool surface and came out on the other side at a run in MirrorSpace, practically skidding to a halt.
Leto looked around the empty, shifting white room frantically. She hadn't a clue why the ache in her chest happened, but she was sure of two things: 1. It couldn't have been for any good reason and 2. She would find the answers here in MirrorSpace somewhere.
The brunette pushed her power as far as she could and shifted into her Princess form, her black wings bursting from her back. Now bare foot and on a mission, Leto moved through MirrorSpace through it’s winding corridors, doors that lead to nowhere, and empty rooms. She could feel it in her core that something was missing. Whatever it was, Leto was determined to find out and fix it.
Little did she know that it wasn’t so much as a something that was gone, but a someone.
