Leto had absolutely no idea where the pain in her chest had come from a few days before, or why it had happened. The only time she had felt anything remotely close was in the process of her 'enlightenment' into the Dark Mirror Court, and when she had upgraded- something had happened to her starseed and it wasn't right. It didn't last long, and it wasn't nearly as excruciating. But it felt wrong. Very, very wrong. So the Senshi of Camouflage had left in the middle of her energy collecting patrol to find the nearest mirror. Instead of exiting to another destination, Leto lingered in MirrorSpace to try and figure out what the strange tugging at her starseed was and why it happened. She had been there ever since.

Amytis didn't spend much time in Mirrorspace, but after her strange experience of starseed pain, she decided that it was time to tell Leto the truth. If the Princess didn't already know.
She had tried her apartment, and when she wasn't there, had ducked into a mirror and started searching - following a Dark Mirror aura here was hard, but feeling uot an Eternal still gave her a direction.
"Leto? Leto, is that you?" She was hopeful,at least. If not here, then she would start searching the city, which would be harder, but still doable.

Leto flinched when she heard her name. She should have realized that after disappearing into MirrorSpace and not coming out for... Wait, how long had she been in here? There was no use in pretending that she wasn't there- After-all, she had not come to MirrorSpace to hide or run away from anything. Turning towards the familiar voice, Leto followed it and the aura that came with it until she was face to face with Amytis. She offered the other girl a smile, not realizing how haggard she probably looked after spending several days in MirrorSpace. When Leto finally clued in that Amytis had been looking for her specifically, she wondered if Persephone had sent her to find her or if something else was going on. "Hey is everything okay?" Amytis looked... Worried? Concerned? Something was definitely off, and that made Leto a little bit nervous.

"I'm so glad I found you!" Amytis said, and she wanted to pull Leto into a hug, but did she really deserve to? To act like they were still friends, when she wasn't sure she wanted to be in the Court anymore?
"I, um, not really," she admitted. "You don't look so good - how long have you been here?" Future-Leto had spent almost all her time in Mirrorspace. This felt like a dangerous step in that direction. "I wanted to tell you something. Important. But I want to make sure you're okay first?"

Leto waved a dismissive hand in the air. She was absolutely sure how this looked- being in MirrorSpace for days on end, not looking well. If anyone had seen the same future that she did, Leto's current behavior was definitely pushing her down the same terrible path. "I'm okay, really. I just... Did you feel a pain in your chest earlier this week? I came straight to MirrorSpace and didn't even think to ask anyone else. Something happened and I'm just trying to figure out what. I swear otherwise I'm fine, I've only been in here for a few days I think." She grinned, appreciating Amytis's concern and trying to show her that she really was okay. "Plus, if you have something important to talk about, me being a MirrorSpace dwelling weirdo is the least of my concerns. What's going on, Amytis?"

Amytis swallowed. "Yes, I felt it," she said, "that's why I wanted to try and find you. You should check on Persephone, let her know you're okay, she's worried about you."
Should she tell Leto about the other things? Yes, that was probably the best idea. "Tantalus is missing," she said, "and has been since not long before...before we all felt...whatever that was. And." She fiddled with her skirt, nervously. "Chariklo purified. A...a little over a month ago. I'm sorry, I should have told you sooner, I just...I didn't know how, I'm still not sure I know what I want to do, and..." She sniffled faintly.
"She just left, Leto."

When Amytis finished speaking, Leto stared at her in silence- her expression a mixture of horror and disbelief. She could feel the dread and panic rising like fire in her throat. No, no, no, nononono. No.The Eternal Senshi took a step back from the other girl, her head shaking slowly. She was sure she couldn't breathe. She was absolutely, positively sure that the room was getting smaller and all of the oxygen was being sucked out of it. "What?" She finally managed to croak out. Tantalus is missing.One of her own was gone- she awakened him and brought him into this war and he was missing. And she had no idea. Chariklo purified.How? The Dark Mirror Court was full of Senshi who were loyal and dedicated and they weren't supposed to be able to leave- she had known for a fact that Dark Mirror Senshi couldn't purify. They were supposed to be Dark Mirror Senshi forever. They were supposed to be with her forever. Chariklo was one of her best friends and she just walked away from the Court- from Leto and from Amytis and from everyone else. How could she? Tears welled in Leto's deep red eyes and with a blink they spilled down her cheeks. She clutched at her chest where she knew from experience her starseed resided. Was that what she was feeling just a few days before? Someone being ripped away from her? The world began to spin around her and Leto dropped to her knees- she wanted to curl up into a ball and scream into the nothingness that was MirrorSpace. Leto had failed them as a leader. If she was doing the right thing, if she had been protecting them, they wouldn't have left. She failed them and everyone was going to leave her. Finally, she stared up at Amytis, desperate and heartbroken. "Are you going with her?"

Amytis felt a rush of guilt. Poor Leto, lost in here all alone, while her Court seemed to fall apart around her. Maybe she should have kept it to herself, but no, the Princess deserved to know, ought to know what was happening to her people.
That didn't make it hurt any less to watch her break down, and Amytis felt herself wanting to cry, too, just watching this. It was a stark reminder that Chariklo hadn't just abandoned her, she had abandoned everyone in the Court. Leto included.
And now Tantalus was gone, and Amytis hadn't even thought about it, but...what if that thing they had all felt was him leaving too?
No, no, surely that couldn't be it, he wouldn't leave without at least telling Damocles, right? If he left at all -- so it had to be something else.
But -- oh, of course Leto asked that. Of course she wanted to know. Amytis swallowed nervously.
"I don't know. I - I might." She swallowed. "I went to a Princess. Polaris. She tried to purify me and it...nothing happened. So maybe I can't. Maybe what Chariklo did is something only she could do."

Leto should have been prepared for Amytis's answer. She knew that she and Chariklo were engaged- did she really expect Amytis not to follow her fiance into the bright, shining arms of the White Moon? If she was being honest with herself, part of her hoped that her answer would be 'no' and when she finally answered her, Leto's heart sank into the pit of her stomach. "You what?" Was all Leto could say to the pink-haired Senshi that stood before her. She was crushed. The Eternal Senshi shook her head and pushed herself to her feet. "I can't-- I can't do this. I can't listen to any more. I'm sorry. I--" Leto tried to stop herself from down-right sobbing, and pushed past Amytis. She couldn't listen to her tell her about them leaving to join the White Moon any longer. She needed to get out of here. MirrorSpace and Amytis herself were somehow suffocating Leto, and she needed to get as far away from both as quickly as possible. "I'm sorry," she choked, sniffled, and literally ran away from Amytis- diving through the nearest mirror to disappear.
