The idea to have a wedding on Polaris had been appealing to Aurora from the moment it was spoken. And while Europa had brought up some good points about perhaps having the ceremony on the moon, Polaris still found herself oddly attached to her star and the signifigance behind the wedding happening either on her star or in Niflhel's wonder. Regardless of how much she wanted it however an important fact to consider was whether it was even possible.
Was there a venue available in the city that would work for a wedding? Would they actually be able to fix it up to a point that it was both safe and accommodating to any guests that might come to celebrate? Were they being silly and biting off more then they could chew?
So when Polaris teleported herself, Niflhel, and Snowball onto the snowy star she made her best effort to try and appear near the city center.
The wind blew lightly, causing the snow to drift lightly around their ankles, the metallic city dark and looming over them. It looked the same as the last time she'd visited, and Polaris was silently thanking her stars, worried at what effect her neglect over the past year might have caused.
Seemingly pleased with what she saw Polaris tightened her grip on the cloak she was wearing, turning her attention to the boys. "Well where would you guys like to start?" She half expected to see Snowball rolling around in the snow, he'd seemed so excited about getting out of the hot city.

Niflhel stretched it was freezing here though it was a nice short break from the heatwave for Snowball he was sure. The Knight pulled his jacket a little closer since he didn't bring extra this time they were going to be working and his uniform already held him back in some regards he didn't need another three layers.
"Hm... well maybe we should look for a place to have the wedding and take stock of what it looks like so we know what we're in for there. We've kind of already seen your room. I'm wondering if we could drag a generator up here to run some basics or if it'd be too much of a pain. At least when we find what we're looking for since I doubt they have plug ins if we need any power tools."Snowball was indeed in rolling around in the snow much like he had on Whisler. Then suddenly he paused thinking and shifted from cat to human barefeet wiggling in the snow. "HA! I can be a human too." He said with a silly grin on his face looking at Azzo. He wasn't too much taller than the man, a good two inches at the least and he chuckled as he walked through the snow lightly.
"Wherever you guys think, though now I can be an extra pair of hands." His tail switched back and forth as he listened to the silence broken only by them and the wind. It was a little spooky here. . .

When she noticed Niflhel shiver Polaris scooted a little closer to him, opening her cloak up a little in silent offering. Sure it wouldn't cover both of them completely if they shared it, but surely their shared body heat would make up for that. And maybe.. just maybe she was using any excuse she could get to be close and cuddly with her fiance. In fact, if Snowball hadn't been so excited about going to Polaris she might have opted to just go with Niflhel, just so she could smooch and hang on him in the privacy of the cold star.
"We can look into whether a generator would work. But worst case scenario we can see about the fireplaces. Though it's not ideal using candles and fireplaces for light, warmth, and to keep food warm could work."
I can be human too. It was a strange statement and Polaris turned lightly to look at the cat only to find.. not a cat at all. She saw barefeet and robes, and her neck craned upwards, eyes widening in surprise.
Even with the huge change it was impossible to mistake him. That lucious fur, brilliant purple eyes, those crystals..
"S.. Snowball!?" Her cloak fell into the snow as she practically tackled the cat with a hug. "Oh my gosh, you're so handsome!"
"How long have you been able to do this?"
Oh his robes were so pretty too! Wedding plans were promptly forgotten as she gushed and fauned over the Mauvian. "You're so tall." She laughed a little.

Niflhel had glanced back at Snowball who was rolling around in the snow. Before nodding to Polaris, "Well, yeah I know fireplaces but I was thinking if we needed any electronics for musics or mics. I know there's little amps and what not for that too though. My main issue was what if we needed tools to fix the place up? Cold kills batteries pretty fast. So while we can use batter operated tools it'd be easier to have a way to charge them or if we needed things that plug in while we're working up here."
He paused, "Food things aren't too difficult since most of them will sit happily over a fire because of camping gears and what not." Niflhel nodded thoughtfully, though his train of thought was interrupted by a strange remark from the cat.
"What are you talking abou--" He paused looking towards the cat and then up. "Oh." He was looking at the cat who was clearly taller by a few inches than he was. The barefeet made him cold to think about and then Polaris tackled the cat. Welp, he picked up her cloak and shook it off before folding it to keep what warmth it could.Snowball was laughing as he caught Polaris. "Well, who else would be on this snowy isle with you?" He he hugged her back as she asked him a question, "Uh . . . . well this is the first time to be honest. . . I've seen other cats do this and something just kinda. . . made me think about trying it today?"
He shrugged softly, "So. I guess today." His tail flickered as he laughed at her so tall comment, "Ahah well I can't be pocket sized all the time." He said referring to his cat form even though he wasn't pocket sized in cat form either.
"Aren't you going to get cold without your cloak?" He pressed, Niflhel had the same worried look as he stood there holding the cloak.

"What a special occasion then!" She mused, taking a few more moments to take in his features. Before placing a little peck of a kiss onto his cheek. It was so different.. skin versus the usual long and fluffy fur. "I guess we'll let you pick what's for dinner tonight then, since it's such a very special day."
It didn't take her long to notice Niflhel's look, especially following Snowball's words, and her eyes went from one to the other stepping back from the cat finally. One hand on her hip, the other lifted so that she could shake her finger at the two of them, she huffed, mostly in jest. "I swear, you two think I'm some fragile porcelin doll. I'll have you know that I am not only an eternal senshi but also a princess."
"I have been fighting bad guys longer than either of you and done my fair share of butt kicking and battles almost to the death." This all seemed 'very' intimidating coming from the dainty little senshi, who was towered over both in height and weight by the young man on each side of her.
Part of her wanted to snub the cloak just to be indignant. Just to prove a point. But in truth she wasn't even slightly mad or annoyed and the cold air was taking beginning to take it's toll. Taking the cloak from Niflhel's arms, she wrapped it around her shoulders again, but not before giving him an annoyed look.
Snowball's startling transformation aside her thoughts finally turned back to what Niflhel had been saying earlier. Ohhh he'd meant generators for fixing up the place! She was so focused on the wedding that it hadn't even dawned on her that he had been talking about prior to the wedding. And as he spoke of tools and how they worked she simply looked at him wide eyed.
It would probably not be a surprise to anyone that Aurora had zero experience in handy work. In a house full of boys and men there was never any need for her to fix anything. And then in dorm rooms.. for a rich girl.. there was always a maintence man just waiting for a phone call. She actually could not remember if she'd ever held a hammer in her hands, let alone a power tool.
What in the world was she going to do to be helpful? Biting her lip sheepishly, she cast her eyes downward. "I didn't even realize that stuff ran on batteries. You're really going to have to walk me through all this stuff if you want me to be of any help."LP The sad thing is she isn't even THAT dainty. XD She's like 5'9, they're just soo much taller and bigger.

Snowball laughed, "Um. . . well, what about a chicken dish? Something baked with uh . . . " He paused, "Pasta! I saw a dish in one of those books that looked pretty good I think I remembered which book it's in."
"It had Bacon and spinach, maybe we could change the garlic sauce to a lemon butter?" He was thinking looking at Niflhel trying to figure out dessert, "What about Cinnamon sticks for desert?" His ears twitched as he thought about licking his lips, "with Icing? Orrr ohh hot Brownies with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce?"
He started laughing when she went off on them on how she wasn't some delicate flower, "No but you're still the less clothed of the three of us. Just because you've got super powers doesn't mean you're immune to the cold or getting colds."
He purred softly, and whispered "Besides I'd hate for you to end up in bed being fed Niflhel's Chicken noodle soup. He forgets to stir the soup then it burns."
He paused when she looked startled. "Uh... well then. . ." He might not have ever used a tool but that didn't mean he didn't know how they worked. . . Niflhel looked at Polaris with his mouth agape, the cat got to pick supper because he can go human!? He was looking flabbergasted, "When I got turned into a cat I didn't get to pick supper!"
"By the way I like the brownie idea. . . " He knew this wasn't the same but he was sort of picking on Snowball and Polaris. He shrugged and was watching the exchange between the two until she turned on the waggling finger. "Okay princess catch a cold, I'll fix you soup when you end up in bed unable to crime fight."
She took the cloak back and then when she looked sheepishly he just laughed as he walked, "We'll worry about that when we need to. I'll show you how to work things when you need to know it. Because we'll have take in consideration the amount of time we have for a wedding . . . Did you decide a date or month? So I know how long we have. I may have to try to con some extra hands to help us because I know while Snowball may have experience with tools it'll likely be different having more fingers on hands than toes on a paw."
He stretched a bit and didn't seem too worried.Iris_virus They know that but she's still the princess. =3 So she gets all the pampering and concerns even when she doesn't want 'em.

Polaris thanked the heavens that Snowball hadn't chosen fish. She nodded slightly with each request, silently making note of it in her head. She was even going through an inventory in her head to make sure they had all the ingredients necessary, which luckily enough they seemed to. Not having to go out and get more groceries after what could be a tiring search here was a bonus.
When Niflhel responded in jest, she laughed a little. "Hey, I thought I took pretty good care of you when you were a cat..."
"But tell you what. Next time you turn into a cat I'll let you choose what you'd like".
"And I'll go ahead and make both desserts tonight." They were fairly simplistic after all.
Returning to Niflhel's side, she once again offered him a place with her under the cloak before her eyes turned finally to the city. As amusing as the two were they probably shouldn't linger for too long in the cold.
But which building should they try? Motioning towards the nearest building that didn't look like a residence, she answered Niflhel's question, excitement obviously creeping back into her voice. "I was thinking a winter wedding. Does that sound alright to you?"

He laughed a little, "Uh-huh you did but still. I never got to-- wait what!? No I don't want to turn into a cat again." He looked almost horrified at the idea.
He started laughing though as he joined her under her cloak. Snowball seemed pretty happy just be able to walk in the snow and not bothered much by the cold. So there was that.
"Oh we get both desserts!" He said looking over to Snowball with an excited grin.
He looked at the building she gestured to looking at it in curious detail trying to figure out if it reminded him of anything he'd seen before. "Sure, sounds good to me. However, I think . . . it's winter all the time here." He grinned, sneaking his hand to poke her side softly.Snowball was having a ball in the snow. As he walked along side of them pausing to roll up an actual snowball and toss it up only to catch it. . . on his head. "Oops." He started laughing and paused when she pointed out a building ears twitching as he looked at the building. "Ohh what's there!" He sounded exciting running ahead, picking up his robes a bit.
"Winter is always the best answer!" He called, his voice echoing a bit from the loudness.

"But you were sooo cute." She teased, as if it were a legitimate reason and plenty of reason for him to want to return to that adorable (and incredibly frusterating for him) form.
With the gentle playful poke and teasing, she crinkled her nose, it was like her version of sticking out her tongue because the actual act of sticking out her tongue was far too unlady-like. And then she bumped him lightly with her hip. "I certainly hope you haven't forgotten we're having two ceremonies. I'd like it to be winter for both. Save on flowers or something." He could of course make a similar statement and joke about it always being winter in Alaska if that was where they eventually decided to hold the wedding for their families.
The volume of her voice shifted to a little bit more of a playful whisper as she teased further. "Besides, if it's winter and chilly no one can blame a new bride for being extra cuddly with her handsome new husband at the reception." If ever there was a socially acceptable time for PDA it was at a wedding reception. Heck, kissing was even encouraged then, often with the silly tradition of newly wed couples having to kiss every time their guests clanked their silverware against their glasses.
Her eyes occasionally went back to Snowball, to make sure they didn't lose him given how much fun he was having playing. Not that it really mattered, it wasn't like they couldn't find each other easily enough, no extra auras or other background 'noise' would distract them if they tried to find each other.
"I'm not 100% sure." She admitted to the question. As a princess she had access to more memories on her homeworld, but Polaris had spent very little time trying to find them. It was something she really meant to do better with, especially if those glimpses of the past might help out now. Nonetheless the building they approached gave her a mild feeling of deja vu.
Though she had preferred her boots for walking through the snow as soon as her feet touched the stone stairs leading up to the building she shifted to her Princess form, the wing nearest to Niflhel slowly seeming to curl around him near his waist.
The shift to Princess had helped in other ways. As they opened the doors the boys would be greeted with a dark room, a long foyer leading to another huge room, filled with an exceptionally long table, buried in dust and cobwebs. For Polaris however the view was different. Elegant decor untouched by time, silently ghostly figures seeming to shift through the hallway in front of her. The table ahead was full of food and people, the soft sound of music trailing for her head only.
"It's a banquet hall." She stated thoughtfully. And it could possibly be useful. But not for the actual ceremony.

He laughed a little bit, "Uh-huh well, still I prefer having hands."
He looked at her and actually considered the winter in Alaska retort, but instead he sighed looking defeated with a "Yes dear." He was still messing with her. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder as they walked. Here it was less like they had to actively hide. Well maybe from Snowball but he was too busy having fun.
He started laughing, "It can still get too scandalous, remember one of them is going to have your brothers at it. So we'll have to listen to them a lot." He pointed out to her with a chuckle he fully expected the two rowdiest teens to make faces and poke fun at them. "Can you handle that?"
He paused when she admitted she wasn't really sure about it. Giving a small frown as he looked around. It was a shame things didn't have some sort of obvious signs. When they walked in, his boots hitting the floor he looked around it was horribly sadden how dark it was.
He paused looking at her before sneaking a quick kiss as she wrapped a wing around him. "Well then that means the church won't be far from here. At least I hope, it'd make sense anyways."
He gave a small shrug as he slipped softly away from her to walk around and examine the state of the structure and the amount of damage. "Snowball I need you to help me look and make sure that it wouldn't be too difficult to fix up."Snowball had decided to sit in the snow and build small snow castles tail flickering happily when he reached the building before the couple who were walking way too slow. He paused and his ears perked up when they walked into the building.
"Hey! Wait for me~" He followed them inside and his ears flattened down a little as he looked at the building. It looked kind of sad in the dark. He moved to check and see about the fire places, maybe there would be some wood or he could find some to light give it a little bit of life. "Man. . . these places need some love. Though it doesn't look like Polaris' home is as bad as yours Niflhel, from first glance anyways."
He was already checking the fire places nodding when Niflhel asked for help accessing the place. "If we can get some light we might be able to give it a better look!" He had pulled out a lighter, "I have a lighter after all!" It was purple and in his space pocket. . . . Niflhel had glanced at Snowball like what don't you keep in there?
"WHAT!? I come prepared. Just because I hate the hot weather and it's cold here doesn't mean I don't like a nice warm fuzzy fire."

As he obliged her with a feigned defeated sigh and wrapped his arm around her shoulder's she relished in her 'victory', whispering playfully to him. "I hadn't realized you were in such a big hurry to marry me."
"Are you sure you don't want to just run away and elope." She teased dramatically. It was of course not what she wanted, she most defintely wanted both weddings (talk about high maintanence!), but that wasn't to say she wouldn't be flattered if he said yes. If he was so overcome with adoration and passion that he needed her to be his wife right this very moment. Dramatic indeed. And silly. And entirely impractical. That was how things happened in movies, not in the real world. Especially not by two such logical and collected people. She seemed entirely amused by the idea however, her expression only changing when he mentioned her brothers.
"They'd better behave themselves." Her voice had returned to it's normal volume. "Or else they may have aquaint themselves with the term 'Bridezilla'." With exception to her naggyness Aurora usually had a pretty good handle on being polite and quite lady-like in public. But there was no need to be polite to her brothers. Rowdy boys could be put back in to line. And besides, she knew they had no real desire to ruin or wreck her special day. Maybe in fact they'd arrive in Alaska a few days ahead of time, so they could get as much of their teasing and tormenting out of their systems prior to the day in question.
It wasn't until the mention of light and the need for some love and fixing that Polaris' visions of the past faded. The images of light and life fading to darkness and decay. She blinked at the jarring difference, before frowning softly, a guilt welling in her chest. She had been neglecting the star, but she would have to do better in the future.
"I don't feel any damage to the metal work." Her senses produced an image in her head that was whole and complete, no jagged pieces of metal trying to break away. It was a strange way to use her powers as usually she was looking for the point of weakness, to know she could yank it free and fling it at an enemy if need be. But for now she was using it as a tool of structural soundness.
"I'm not sure about the wood work or anything else.. but the building is safe at least. Sturdy."
Pulling out her cellphone, Polaris turned the screen outwards, the dim light barely helpful in illuminating her way, but it was enough for her to notice the busted up stool instead of tripping over it.
"If we can find some kindling or paper to start it with I've got some wood over here that we can start a fire with."

He grinned, "Well~ a year is a reallly long time not to see anyone." He said with a small hum, "It may actually make someone rethink some priorities." There was a small wink, and a pause when she asked about eloping, "I know you'd rather a wedding, why would I deprive my princess of what she deserves?" He tapped her nose with his finger before giving her a kiss.
He started laughing again, "Yeah, we'll see. We should probably give them time to get the teasing out of their system and figure out come-backs. So we're better prepared to fight back. Since they may end up being our enemy." His free arm was behind his head as he continued to stand there.
He sighed softly at the room, "It doesn't look like anyone ever got out unscathed. Though from what I can tell some of your buildings came out a lot better for wear than mine did." He nodded when she said she didn't feel any damage to the metal work, "That's good, it means we're safe to work in here."
He paused as spoke about the woodwork, "We can figure that out when we can get some light going in here. Though we know we need to pack warmly and maybe bring some spotlights or something to brighten the place up, plus candles. Unless there are candles here, I doubt any actual power this place had, if it had any still works in any capacity. I know I can't fix that part."
He nodded when she mentioned paper, "I've got paper," He said pulling out a notepad. "Is there a fire place near by I'd rather use that instead of just setting a fire in the middle of the building."Snowball's nose wrinkled as the two stood there being lovey dovey, "I can hear you two, you know this right?" His ears had picked up the whispers as he walked around, "Besides what are you whispering for it's just us on here. I doubt the home world minds too much or it'd probably have already thrown him off." Snowball turned around and smiled brightly.
He nodded as listened to her observations on the metal work. "Assuming that the wood work has been inside all this time, I'm going to assume it's okay. It's not been out in the weather. . . " He made a long pause while Polaris fiddled with an "OH MY GOSH YOUR PHONE!?"
He forgot about fixing it when she got home. "Nono, stop. I got to fix that." He ran over to her barefeet narrowly missing a chair as he grabbed her old phone and took a moment to concentrate on it and update it to a new better phone. "Letsee did Ash include a flashlight app to this?" He was poking around, and frowned, "Nope. Oh well, it's a better phone, larger screen so it'll be a little bit brighter." He gave a shrug looking slightly disappointed in the fact there wasn't a flashlight app.
He seemed to think and then turned on his own ear phone piece and activated the projector to just the homescreen to help. He'd actually also forgot about trying to include any sort of app like that. . . oops. "There that's a little more light."

Indeed, there was no lie to the suggestion that distance and time made the heart grow fonder. All the time to dwell on how much she missed him. All the time to think about what could have been if not for the distance. What they were missing and what was hard to live without. Their meeting at the airport should have been enough evidence that she obviously agreed with him.
And as he hummed, and kissed, and otherwise just mused and planned with her Polaris seemed to glow. To say she was enjoying being newly engaged, being near again and slightly more affectionate with her fiancee, and being the center of attention and the decision making was a little bit of a understatement.
Snowball's complaint, though enough to bring a soft flush to her face, was not nearly as bad as if anyone else had made the same comment. As such she just looked back at him, pouting a little. "It's not like Polaris is tiny, there is a whole winter wonderland for you to play in if you don't like it."
Playfulness aside, as they returned to the task at hand Polaris pointed through the darkness, halfway up the long room. "There is a very large fireplace up there." She had seen it in her vision of the past, so whether it was still in one piece was a question.
"It may be because it was a larger area." One would assume that an entire star, covered with multiple wonders, might be a little bigger than a single wonder. "Or perhaps there are other areas that are worse for wear that I just haven't seen yet."
Polaris was kneeling to pick up the pieces of the broken stool when Snowball rushed over and took her phone, and she watched curiously as it shifted and changed, leaving behind a very modern phone. Her fingers sought out the contacts, to make sure that they were still in place, and upon confirming they were she smiled. "This is amazing Snowball! Thank you." Mauvians really were amazing and resourceful.
She'd have to play with it and figure it out later, but for the time being she gathered the few broken pieces of chair, and guided by the added light of her new phone and his projector, started to make her way towards where she'd seen the past fireplace.

Snowball laughed at the suggestion, "Ohhh I never said I didn't like Princess, I'm just saying I don't know why ya'll are whispering when we're the only ones here and I clearly have the superior hearing." His tone at Princess was said in a tone he often used in the past when he was irritated at her; if she even remembered that part of the past.
He paused his tail swished, "Though~ I could be feeling left out toooooo~ I bet neither of you thought of that." Snowball gave a small some what teasing and playful pout before shrugging softly, he was glad she at least had someone though him having to watch the pair being lovey dovey with no one to distract him wasn't helpful.
He beamed when she thanked him for the new phone though, "You're welcome." He hummed as he walked along, "Surely you don't have to use stools or chairs as kindling. You'd think there'd be some left over chopped somewhere." He shrugged softly though if they were broken beyond repair he couldn't blame her.Niflhel nodded as she said there was a large fire place in the front of the room. "Likely there could be. I think it's pretty hit and miss what got destroyed in the past." He was flidding around in the dark following the pair, "Soooo... uh how are we going to light this fire?"

It wasn't hard to recognize the tone. Though she hadn't seen many memories involving her Guardian the few she had had often involved a slightly overworked and aggravated kitty. And besides, how many times had she used a similar tone on her own brothers? As such she gave him a bit of a pout in the dim light before it faded into an apologetic smile.
It was true. The biggest issue with PDA was usually in the terms of modesty, or a lack there of. But another issue that arose was when two people ran around kissing and loving on each other was a jealousy or a third wheel syndrome that was nearly as bad. She could recall quite easily the number of times she'd felt like a third wheel or whistfuly lonely.
Luckily there was stuff to be done. Not before she gave Snowball a small peek on the cheek. "I don't think this stool is worth trying to piece back together." She mused softly, as she scattered the splintered pieces and remains into the fireplace. "Maybe once we have some light we'll be able to find if there is a stash of wood somewhere."
Wood placed carefully crisscrossed, Polaris stepped back, allowing for Niflhel to put some paper in the holes she'd created. Tapping her cheek thoughtfully, she thought aloud. "If neither of you have anything to light it with I know there are a few lighters and candles in my room and the observatory. I can always go grab one."
