It wasn't all that often that her older brother dragged her to the gym. Frankly it had been some time since their last disaster that ended up with a grown man being shamed by a 'little girl'. The lesson of the day was don't challenge Imara to reps. She wasn't a weight lifter but she could put up some reps.
Today's adventure was to allow her to release some of the pent up energy and anger Taylor and her parents had begun to notice around the house. So out of fear, and of course concern, Taylor had been instructed to bring his younger sister to the gym.
She of course had stormed off in the opposite direction of him towards the boxing areas. Tape was quickly on her fist as she slammed them into a punching bag. How long she was at it, Imara wasn't sure but by the time she was done, she was out of breath and hot.
Grabbing the bag, she turned around just as she could see some people take up a fight. But it wasn't a traditional round. "Been awhile since I have seen someone kick box." She smiled to herself, walking towards it.
Guine Let me know if this doesn't work for you!

August never started kickboxing with the intention of it turning into anything serious. He’d started doing it in order to get out of the house and to let out some of his pent up frustrations, to clear his head, to organize his thoughts. But as the years went by, he found himself drawn more and more to the sport, and was a frequent fighter at a couple gyms.
The girl curious about the sport was not lost to him. People frequently came to watch, whether because they enjoyed watching or because they didn’t want to try it themselves, he didn’t know. “Do you just want to watch?” he wondered out loud, not seeing why this girl didn’t want to try it out herself. He was not currently sparring with anyone, and humans were much more challenging to fight than a punching bag, regardless of their skill level.Sirene Naiads It's good for me! Thank you!

A male voice made her jump. She had been so interested in the action that she had not heard someone come up next to her.
Eyes quickly found the source and her head shook slowly. "No. I would love to partake but I don't know all the formal rules of kickboxing." With a shrug, Imara sized him up. Not bad looking but more impressive, he had the body of someone who did kickbox. That could be fun.
"I know a bit about it. Just never stuck to formal lessons. You offering to go around?" Her arms crossed in front of her chest as she looked from him back to the two already at it. One was about to go down.

“Formal rules are decided before a match,” he said in response, reaching up to take the towel off from around his neck. “Also depends on where you are. American kickboxing is sort of like a combination of boxing and karate. Usually no knees allowed and only above the waist hits.” It was fairly standard, and while he usually was a stickler for rules, he thought kickboxing was supposed to be more… freeing.
“Do you have gloves? There are some over by the wall,” he pointed out if she was serious. If she wasn’t, well… she had the perfect opportunity to back out. August didn’t think of himself as much of a teacher, but if someone was wanting to learn, he didn’t see the harm in offering.
