Roll an Eleven: Canyon Field: The canyon walls towers high towards the ceiling while the ground sinks downwards several levels, making the top and bottom of the field very difficult to see without special equipment. The cliff faces are very steep with little ridge support for grabbing and climbing; on top of that, the rock faces are very damp which makes grabbing and holding on very difficult. A few skinny trees and roots jut out from the cliff and allow smaller, nimbler pokemon to grab and swing around. At the very bottom of the canyon’s long drop is a deep pool of water. Keeping up is difficult for trainers on this particular battlefield, so stadium officials have set up a special view screen on each of the trainer platforms. A mini camera will follow your pokemon around while it battles (of course, it’s programmed to back off when a pokemon does an attack) and the view screen will enable trainers to issue commands to their companions via microphone. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to FLYING and ROCK type attacks.

Jorge stumbled onto the stage, nervously combing her fingers through her long black hair and adjusting her glasses. A meager disguise, but it was all she had at the moment. She rarely battled with her pokemon, but the stadium was a good place to scope out things for Team Aqua.

Jorge sent out her oldest pokemon, Krov. The Aerodactyl sored around the stadium before sending parts of the canyon wall tumbling towards his opponent.

While Jorge sent her oldest, Genesis sent her most recent. Ajax entered the field, his hard eyes and scarred fur betraying his age when his stage did not. He took the brunt of the blow before punching the air to warm up his muscles.

Jorge blinked as the Riolu punched the air. She sure hoped it wasn't trying to hit Krov, because it was waaay off. Oh well.

Krov swooped down towards his opponent, stretching open his mouth as his teeth crackled with energy.

Ajax bounced lightly on his feet. When Krov neared, he leaped over the Aerodactyl's head and struck the canyon walls, sending a barrage of rocks down on the flying Pokémon.

Ajax was thrown against the floor, a spiderweb of cracks blooming beneath him. With a savage growl, he twisted onto his feet and lobbed another stone towards his opponent.

Krov growled as he was buried under another pile of rocks. With a mighty flap of his wings he sent the rocks flying away from him and a gust of wind towards his opponent.

Taking advantage of his small and dextrous form, Ajax side-stepped the stones and rolled for cover behind a rocky pillar. When he felt relatively safe, he returned with another Rock Slide.

Krov dodged the rocks that were once again thrown at him. Well, two could play at that game. He sent another gust of wind from his wings towards the Riolu.

Ajax threw himself at his opponent, rolling beneath the Aerodactyl's wings in the nick of time. He kicked the earth to loosen a pile of stone before aiming them in Krov's direction.

Krov glared at the Riolu as a rocks clipped him. He swooped down close, the temptation to take a bite out of the little rat too strong to ignore.
