I feel like it is so hard. I look super geeky. I feel awkward and just have the worst time talking to guys. I get excited when I meet a guy who seems interested but they are either out off by me being a geek or they are into the same stuff and not into me. crying
I just wanted to share. Thanks for listening.

I can level with this. Have you tried getting into their interests rather than them getting into yours?

The Lonely Taurus I can level with this. Have you tried getting into their interests rather than them getting into yours? Yes. And the ones I am talking about specifically approached me because of mutual interest. Then I have tried to do things with guys they like but it's usually one sided. sad

A lot of relationships (in my experience) are not really symbiotic when it comes to mutual interest, but rather they still come out well.

Thanks for listening. I used to have the same issues, but I eventually found an adorkable geeky guy just for me. <3 There are a lot of us out there, so don't give up! I know it's difficult, trust me, gay guys usually treat me like an outcast because of my weight. I don't know how old you are of if you're still in school, but if you are, try joining a club that caters to your interests. Another awesome idea is to check out anime/comic book conventions in your area. That would probably be the best way to meet guys that share your interests. I can understand the awkwardness, but you need to get over that and go for it. Best of luck!

I personally I dont have much of a problem with this, I find that there are a ton of geeky gays at conventions and such. My main issue is online game play or MMOs, they tend to not be too gay friendly, I would just keep my personal life to myself on those mostly....

Some of them are friendlier and welcoming than others. For example, I have never had an issue with bigotry on Guild Wars 2. There's your occasional rude people every now and then, but they have a block feature so it's really your choice if you want to hear it or not. There's also several LGBT guilds to join, mine being one of them. smile

I loved WOW and played for years but I find that game over all to not be too gay friendly, thankfully my guild was super awesome about it and all treated me awesome but I remember when I started another guild once I got harassed instantly just because I said "my boyfriend"

PVE is overall less competitive because everyone gets their own loot. If you hit an enemy and somebody else kills it you still get the EXP. Events and quests encourage you to explore because they randomly pop up while you're running around. Quests (hearts in this game) have multiple ways to be completed depending on how you like to play. For example, you can just go around killing everything or you could turn into a tiger and go around training cubs. There's two types of PVP for those who enjoy it. One is team based and it's usually a set number of people VS the other. The other type is World VS World that pits three servers against one another at a time. The goal is to capture the most amount of the map as possible. At the end of the allotted war times we rotate out every so often and face two new servers. Best of all, NO SUB FEE. lol If you ever need people to play with feel free to hit me up. My husband and I are always on, and we're up to partying most times.

Yeah one of my best friends keeps trying to get me on it and he told me the same thing xD I keep hearing its great, I personally am really into PVP and I heard its nice on GW2 which is a relief, my main reason for quitting WOW was my crazy busy schedule so it is nice to not have that crappy monthly sub fee...I just feel at this point in my life I dont have enough free time to justify paying for a game mad . Ill be sure to hit you up when I join, it would be nice to have a few people to start up with.

Not to push, but it often goes on sale for $10, and right now if you buy the expansion the base game comes with it for free. No, but yeah I can definitely understand that. I have so many games I have been neglecting!

0ntogeny oh s**t cool...hmm...I'll have to check that out then. How many expansions are there? This is the first paid one they're releasing, but the release date hasn't been given. The majority of the time their exspansions come in the form of free content they call "the living world." So far there have been two seasons of TLW, but if you're new to the game or missed TLW2 the first time it came out you can purchase the episodes. For you though, you probably won't do any of that because you'll be too busy trying to complete end game before they start releasing more content. It's still good to know you can go back if you really want to. smile
