- Located on the desert planet of Westenra, the Praetoria Colony was discovered by human explorers in 2321 CE. Its abundance of oil brought attention from various people looking to cultivate it for wealth. It was very popular in its early days, showing a promising industry that attracted many, but it grew less and less popular as criminals took advantage of the new colony. Ever since, greedy crooks have taken the whole of the city.
It is the base of operations for the criminal organization known as the Red Hand, and has a very high crime rate. It has become a breeding ground for murderers, smugglers, thieves, and shady businessmen. A lot of the businesses answer to the Red Hand. In comparison to Stratos, you’re less likely to die but more likely to get robbed.
It’s population consists mainly of Human-Escala hybrids, though they’ve diverged very far from the old Escala ways. The civilians are very cynical, a majority as slaves to their greed. If tourists are to learn anything when they visit, it’s to guard their valuables and trust no one, no matter how friendly they seem. Being unarmed in Praetoria is an easy way to get robbed; even children are prone to stealing here. It’s a guarantee that people will attempt to rob the average citizen.
