Klymen makes an unexpected friend in the form of a blue blooded kid. Trollkind weeps as they combine forces.

Klymen was really, really bored.

She had been in Four Fronds to meet up for a social event, but that had since ended and she had some time to kill before she was going to some other, weird meeting. They honestly weren't her thing, but she was expected to be there and honestly she didn't want to deal with the gossip that would happen if she didn't go. It was just one day out of the week to deal with it all and then she could go back to surfing or spending her time doing other, better stuff. Like figuring out what stunts she could do off her surf board. That was cool.

However, thinking about what she wanted to do didn't actually cure the boredom she was faced with currently and so she idly walked the paths of the small area. Maybe she'd check out the Coliseum? She'd ever actually set foot in there but she'd heard of it and she had time to kill right now. It was probably better than anything else and with that she started walking, paying little attention to her surroundings.

This place was definitely ritzy. Guouli kept scoffing at the scenery as he walked through the area. Four Fronds had all these claims of being beautiful and great and luxurious. It was certainly true. And that s**t? Was boring as all get out. Ooh, you could tan. Ooh, hot springs. Ooh, s**t that only mattered to delicate wrigglers who didn't know what living was. What was wrong with some trolls?

Guouli, on the other hand, certainly was not boring. He was here for the real stuff. The good stuff. The hunts? He was so down for that. Killing some lowbloods and convicts would be such a thrill to try out. sure, they could very well be older than him and bigger, but he had Hogdad. It would be fiiiiine.

But before that, he wanted to check out the Coliseum. Guouli loved a good fight, or five, and that might be just the place for him to watch some good bloody bouts. He was so ready to watch some blood spill. Maybe someone could lose a limb. His imagination was running wild!

Hogdad was snuffling along behind him. The old pig had plenty of leftover popcorn in his time; tonight could be no different. Their diets were absolutely stellar.

Ahead of him in the congealing line to the night's big battle, he saw one of the top dogs of the castes. One of the great, revered seadwellers. None of those lived on the mountain. Hell, they probably couldn't, being water beings and all. A shame, really.
This one in particular was lanky, and looked almost like some punk rockstar. Guo approved. Time to show it.

"Eyyyyy, seaweed! I dunno how it is where you're from, but on land you're supposed to wear shoes at most establishments!" Even before the other troll could react, Hogdad was oinking in dismay. That just made him grin more.

Ah yes, a wonderfully boring walk with all the random- wait what was just yelled at her?

Klymen turned with a scowl, ready to verbally beat down whoever had decided to hurl that comment at her. She was royalty, that was NOT the way to treat her.

Her eyes landed on the offending target, eyebrows raising slightly as she immediately took him in. A blue blood, who was a kid no less, his lusus trailing behind him. He probably hadn't been taught any better and her anger softened slightly. Even if he had been rude, she could use it as a teaching moment so that the next time he wouldn't get culled. Even if it was deserved.

"Listen, maybe to everyone else it applies but for use seadwellers? They're optional," She started, a forced grin on her face as she used her nicest voice possible. "I doubt that you would know that though, considering your age. You're probably here for the hot springs or something, so I'll forgive you for not knowing." She added dismissively, still trying her best to be polite and curt without being outright rude. Even if he did annoy her.

Oh, ew, was this seadweller trying to be pleasant? Weren't they supposed to be the highest examples of troll kind? What the hell, man?

"Tch. Yeah, well, I guess if you wanna track puddles everywhere, no one can stop you." Guo shrugged. "It comes with having the fins, right?" At least she was kind of pompous, or else she'd be a total bore. "Anyway, hot springs are for chumps. I'm here for thrills, not getting my nails done." He glanced at Klymen's fingers. "By the way, I hear the hot springs are great at making pickled fish, so, uh. Keep an eye on temp control, seaweed. Landdwellers like that kinda stuff because we know what different temperatures feel like. Anyway," he pushed Hogdad's face as if that would keep the panicking lusus from worriedly squealing at him more, "I got a match to see. Hope you don't step on any broken glass."

Klymen tried her hardest to be nice, she really did. But this kid was really irritating her and honestly, it wasn't like a blueblood was going to act against her. If he did, well... she'd get to that bridge when it was crossed.

But for now, she crouched down to meet the kid face, to face, put on her nicest smile, and then said "Alright, kid, since you obviously don't get that I was trying to be nice we'll try this again. One, I obviously don't track puddles everywhere since I'm a, better than that and b, have the ability to not look like a drenched animal in public, unlike the rest of you when you dare to go swimming." She was baring teeth now more than a grin, but still stuck to what she was saying. "Two, I'm sure as hell not here for the hot springs or to get my nails done, although they do look pretty nice don't they? Black's a nice color you know, hides all the blood under your nails so when you gotta go to meetings, the prissier highbloods don't cry about you dared to drag blood into the pristine room." That was a barely veiled threat and maybe she was getting a little too violent, but this kid was a ******** disgrace. He needed to learn manners, lusus or not nearby. "So instead of worrying about me in the hot springs, although trust me I probably have better ability at telling temperature of water than you, fluffball, you might wanna worry about yourself before you go mouthin off to a highblood. Or else you might be eating the glass that you're so worried I'll step on."

"You sure like to talk, don't you? Don't get your scuba suit in a twist, jeesh." Guo huffed. "Okay, okay, I guess I went to far." His pumpbiscuit wasn't in it but at least he was doing something. "Don't have to make a scene out of it." He really didn't care if there was a scene. But all this talking down to him was getting sooooo lame.

"How much blood is under your nails, though?" This was an honest curiosity, and not even laced with malice.
