Personality: A true warrior from olden times. GILGAMESH, rather than Berthold, has a sense of valor and comradery. He is truly a fighter and always fights for the weak. He uses his voice for those whom have none. In the face of danger, he only gets more intense and fights harder.
GILGAMESH is hard to lock down to anyone else's plans. He moves on his own, most of the time, but he is always willing to team up if he feels like it would work out in the best interest of all. He loves to assist other players , also, by providing equipment and provisions if he can; stemming from this is his choice to become a blacksmith in order to create items for others.
Living in a fantasy world is almost an escape to Berthold, allowing him to truly personify GILGAMESH as a man of the people and a valiant fighter. He is also quite a people person when others make the effort to know him on a deeper level of friendship. He's the type of man to get loud at a bar while he's drinking, to sing songs of battle, and to laugh and play a little rough with his comrades.
Likes:
.xx► Grinding: The grind up the ladder never gets tiring at all to this man. No matter if he has friends at his side or he is soloing, as he usually is, he will continue to fight and grow his power.
.xx► Be My Fantasy: GILGAMESH has no interest in moving up the floor levels to complete the game. He doesn't want to go back to his old life. He actually desires for the fantasy world he is trapped in to become his new life.
.xx► Here, Kitty Kitty Kitty: GILGAMESH possesses a strange fondness for any feline. He'll drop nearly anything in order to pay attention to it. He won't drop combat for a feline, but he will serve to protect one over anything or anyone else.
.xx► Pineapples: He just ******** love pineapples. Deal with it.
Dislikes:
.xx► Pompous Douches: Anyone that just looks down on lower level players simply for not being at their level.
.xx► Coconuts: Piña coladas confuse him.
Strengths: GILGAMESH uses his abilities to create equipment as a blacksmith and forge more powerful arms to better fight and defend himself. His warrior spirit and comradery allow him to easily form alliances, as well, and fight alongside other powerful warriors.
Weaknesses: GILGAMESH's personality is one that not everyone can see themselves getting along with for long periods of time, which is why he tends to work solo. Being solo leads to danger in the field and he is often left without backup.
History: Berthold had been a gamer since he was a child, learning to enjoy all of the classics and was instantly a fan of JRPGs the moment he first picked one up. Growing up, he showed signs of genius IQ levels and was tested. With his intellect, he easily shot through primary education and went to specific education for those of his intellect instead of high school. He was on a fast track to the high life for people with brains like his own, but that also meant that he didn't have much time for gaming, taking away the thing he loved most in the world.
At the age of twenty, Berthold was moving to Japan for a seminar from an organization he had a chance to work at and ended up in a bus accident on the way there. Twenty-seven people died during the accident and Berthold was hospitalized for three months in a coma. Once he woke up, he went through physical therapy for the next six months, and eventually was housed in Japan, where he chose to stay. He was set up with an income that would keep him living comfortably for the rest of his life, though without much luxury. Berthold used that money to get an apartment on his own, a decent internet speed and wi-fi, and a powerful gaming computer.
With the release of Fardor Avil Online, Berthold acquired a set of Nerve-Gear and began to play with game. Soon into starting the game, a crisis occurred and trapped him within the game. Like most players, Berthold was in shock, but soon began to adjust to the world within which he was now trapped. He truly began to become his character GILGAMESH. Some would say it was a coping mechanism, but Berthold could describe it as him coming to live in the world he was mean to live.
Goals: Simply to make a good life for himself in his new world.
