Animal Lover: Destry was a trouble child, and when the state took her away from her birth parents care, she became an even more troubled child in "the system" When she went to her uncles home to live, he got her a pony, thinking haveing another loveing creature to take care of would help her adjust, and form a connection with SOMETHING. It worked, and ever sense she has taken care of that pony like it was her BABY. She has a soft spot for all animals, and will not abide seeing someone mistreat an animal ( If she sees it, you better expect your teeth to get kicked in )
Performing: Right now its really more of a dream then a hobby, but I'm still going to put in here. Her uncles home didnt have cable, but it did have a tv and VCR. Most of the DVD's were for adults, but her uncle purchased her one for children "Little Nemo: Adventures in wonderland" She spent a great deal of her childhood watching this movie over and over. The feel of performance, the showmanship, the colors, the vibe, sunk into her brain. And she decided that's what she wanted to do. Not save the world from evil nightmare sludge, but ear glittery colorfull outfits and ride aroud on beautiful horses with plumed head-dressess, and twirl on trapeze. Her little pony, now an old but loving beast, has put on many shows in her day. Destry has even taught her to dance to the beat of a little tamborine. This nifty little trick has earned her some spare coin in her day, and it would be be surprising to see her trying to earn some coin with her gymnastics.
Gymnastics: One of the few things that has stayed consisten in her whole life, was her love of gymnastics. It started as a tumbling class in her elementary school, and is just something that has stayed with her. While she cant afford the classess, she will certainly show off her moves, walking on her hands and cartwheeling around, doing streetshows. She still hasn't mastered how to somersault off of her moveing pony yet... it can be funny to watch her try though! This agility has stayed keen, even durring bouts of homelessness due to running away from home and such. Youll never see someone climb a chain link so faster in your whole life.
Theivery: Yeah... Ok so its not the best hobby. Destry has on and off bouts of living on the street sense she was eight years old, and has a habit, she has become a bit of a sticky finger syndrome. Even when shes not in the situation to steal, its just so... easy... And the fact that people rarely suspect HER of it dosn't help. Always from strangers, or people she thinks deserves it, it has become a little bit of a matter of pride to not get caught.
History to Elaborate on this Hobby:

When Destry was seven, her mother died of a long illness and left her in the care of her step-father. This man in all honesty should never have been left in charge of a living child, but her mother had no living family. His minor drug problem escalated greatly after his wife's death. Mostly living in hotels, or shady areas, they moved around a lot. Destry ran away from home several times, or on occasion came home to find that her step-father was no longer in current residence. Somehow she fell through the social care system for several years until the age of 15 when her step father was arrested and sent to jail. So there was a 7 year period of her life were her home life was VERY unstable.
After her step father was sent to jail, she stayed in a couple of foster homes that didn't work out, eventually her Step-fathers maternal uncle found out about her existence and took her into his home. A small ranch outside destiny city that mostly deals with tourists and vacationers.
Virtues:
Loyal: When Destry makes an honest to god connection with someone ( and you might not even know when it happens ) your stuck with her,
Forever.
emotion_donotwant This will suddenly put you in this magical group of people, that she will fight for tooth and nail. And considering her propensity for scuffles in her past, this very well might be literal. When you earn her trust, its real. She don't do things half way.
Things and people who are dear to her, will always come first. She will have no problem putting herself in harms way to protect what in her mind is "hers". her friends. Her pets. Her things. Its part of her nature. You have to look out for what you care for. Because if you don't, who will? If its a person, it can be exasperating, because you may not even want this "protection" but to bad. You have it anyway.
Spunky: Destry is a little bit of a spitfire. She has little to no problems putting herself in situations, assuming that she will be just fine. despite her small size and her penchant for wearing frilly cloths, she is a bit of a tomboy in personality. Sometimes it may come off as fool-hearty instead of courageous, but she has such confidence in her ability to accomplish what she sets her mind to, the mindset can be infectious. Her sense of confidence isn't always well placed, and she often fails, but she is so very determined that she will try again right away, without letting it get her down.
Quick Witted: Destry is able to feel out the mood of a room or a person rather efficiently. Studies have shown that people who grew up in ab abusive situation become skilled at reading body language, Destry is no exception. She plays this skill to her advantage. She can tell if someone is uncomfortable, and she will do her best to lighten the mood. If someone is subtle threatening or being aggressive to someone who she cares about, she will stick herself right in the middle. Conversations with her can be rather interesting. Her comebacks are quick and witty, and her street-smarts shine through in her personality and her interactions.
Flaws:
Possessive: What few possessions she has, they are HERS. She might share, but good lord just keep in mind that shell fight to the death over something she thinks she has a claim on. This goes from everything to people, animals, clothing. If you take something of hers, or hurt it, your not going to see the end of it for a long time. The few possessions that she has, that are truly hers, are almost sacred to her. ( A few hairpins, a book, a length of cloth ribbon ) mean more to her then simple objects usually do to most people. Often for her the few things she has, in her mind, are the sum of her whole life. if the "thing" is alive, a friend or her pony, its even more so. This can make her difficult to deal with, if someone says something bad about someone she cares about, she will puff up like a cat. At best, conversations and acquaintances will end. At worse, someone is gona get kicked.
Wary: She dosnt really trust people right off the back. She is quick to think the worst of people,and it has served her well -maybe even saved her life a few times- in the past. The only problem is, not EVRYONE is out to get something, and as such, she will often view a genuine offer of help as something to be suspicious of. People who are just trying to help her, will often have their feelings hurt, because shes rather blunt about her mistrust in others.
Pridefull: Destry would much rather suffer then have to ASK for someone's help. It has lead to her living on the street, going hungry, and general living situations because she feels she should be able to take care of herself. She wont take charity, ever ( This dosn't mean she is above stealing when necessary ) and if someone ever wants to do her a favor... well, they have to make it seem like SHE is doing THEM a favor, or your only going to piss her off. She dosn't need you help, at least in her mind, and she wont take your hand outs. It can make her defensive at times, but if its comeing from someone she cares about, generally shell forgive you.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Smokey Gray
Hair: A kind of pale Brown with bangs framing the face. Its a little bit on the longer side ( Like shoulder blade length ) But is kept in a messy bun generally on the side of her head, to keep it out of her face. ( There were no good tektek references of a messy bun, lol )
Face: Heart shaped with a liberal splattering of freckles on her cheeks.
Clothes: eclectic sense of style. mostly second hand cloths, threadbare but still functional.
