┏━━━━━━━━━┓
QUESTING
┗━━━━━━━━━┛

                Quests are measured by how hard they are, and are rewarded accordingly. Quests are a big part of FAO, you can find one in every sector that you enter. The amount of quests one can do per week are 5, which run on a Sunday-Saturday schedule.

                Any quest done past level 20 in quest level needs to be done with at least one partner. All individuals not within 3 levels of the mission, generate a number 1-2. If you roll a 1, they live. If a 2, they die. This is so low levels do not piggy back onto high one's for free experience without risk.

                Quests may be done solo as long as you are within 3 levels of the given quest. Anything past that and you need to add someone to your party who meets the requirement combined. What this means is, if a quest is level 4 you need either a level 2 to join your level 1 character or another level 1 to join your level 1 character. As the two level one characters would equal to level 2 and be 2 levels shy of the level 4 mark.

                If partnered, word count will or will not be split depending on the quest given.

                Quests will also be posted in their respected thread, most of them being in Non-Safe Zone areas, example being Floor 1's Wilderness.

theft xxxxsystem

              Wait, there is a theft around? Yes. Thieves are the only one's who are capable of theft. Wait, why are thieves the only one's capable? Well that's because that is the only thing that separates them from a rogue. That being said, there are a few rules about theft. This is also because thieves are shady individuals. They are the ones who can steal properly. However if you are caught being a thief, there may be consequences in which might result in a fight and your failure of stealing the item or money that you were trying to steal.

              ° You may not steal more than one item at a time per post.
              ° You may not steal more than 10% of their money while they are alive.
              ° You may not steal an item and money in the same post.
              ° You may not steal from an item that is in their banking account.
              ° The ability to steal is your 1/2 dex + speed vs their 1/2 defense + speed.

              Now this is the list. The list of everyone and every class that may steal. Yes, however it is technically called looting. Everyone may do this. To loot, you must have first killed the person you are looting from. After you loot him or her, there are a set number of rules you must follow. These rules are as follows.

              ° The target you loot from must be dead.
              ° You may only loot what is on their person. Not anything in their bank.
              ° You can loot all of the Xing on their person.
              ° You may loot all of the items they have on their person and not in the bank.
              ° You may loot all of their weapons they have on their person and not in the bank.
              ° If Xing is looted from a corpse, it will be divided equally among the people who killed them.

banking xxxxsystem

              The truth is, everyone has the ability to open up a bank account. The bank will have its own thread and to deposit it, you must fill out a form for it and wait for a mod to update it. Once you do, a mod will transfer the items and amount of money you asked for into the bank where it will be safe locked. Even from you. Meaning if you have 2300 Xing in the bank and 100 Xing on your person and you get killed. You only lose 100 Xing. On the downside, if you wish to purchase an item for 150 Xing, you cannot do so without making a withdrawal from the bank. The bank safeguards your money and items from everyone, which does in face include you until you make a withdrawal.

              ☾☽ Money may not be used that is deposited in the bank. To use it you must make a withdrawal.
              ☾☽ Items/Weapons can be put in the bank.
              ☾☽ Withdrawals/Deposits must be submitted for and approved and done for by a mod.
              ☾☽ The bank will only take up to 90% of your funds at anytime. This means you must keep at least 10% of your funds on you.

STEALTH
Thief/Rogue Guidelines to Making Stealth Your Friend or Foe

            Stealth is an attribute that keeps one from being able to be detected. If person A is in stealth mode and is not detected by person B, they may attack and it will hit as person B has no way of knowing that anyone is there or aiming for them, this only works by ranged or if they are walking nearby and you are close to them. You may not run 50ft while in stealth and attack them but you may do so while trailing behind them in crouch. If in crouch stealth mode, you move at 3/4 speed and if they turn around and see you, you will no longer be in stealth mode.

            How to determine if your stealth succeeds:

            ➣ Stealth is determined by Accuracy + 1/2 Speed {User} vs Dexterity + 1/2 Speed {Enemy}
            ➣ If stealth is done, the enemy is unaware of you and thus you may attack. Attacking from a stealth position is, at range, an auto-hit the first time and thereafter whether it hits or not, assuming the target is in normal condition, is based upon Accuracy {User} vs Dexterity {Enemy}
            ➣ Flat stealth ranged bonuses to damage are Accuracy + 1/2 Strength {User} vs Defense {Enemy}
            ➣ Flat stealth magic bonuses to damage are Magic + 1/4th Accuracy {User} vs Defense {Enemy}
            ➣ Flat stealth physical bonuses to damage are Strength + 1/3 Dexterity {User} vs Defense {Enemy}
            ➣ Past level 5, you gain an additional bonus to damage while in stealth mode and attacking. This bonus is +2 damage per your level.

CURRENCY

            Here is the lo down on whats up with paying for things, and selling things. Of course, it is noted, that players can create shops. This obviously shows that there will be some trade going down. Every time someone purchases something, you have to fill in a request and quote that person you are buying/trading the item with. Both participants must do this and neither will get approved until they have both posted an update to their bag details. If you are buying or obtaining the stuff from NPCs (such as city shops, monster drops, or quest rewards) quote one of the moderators. Every character starts off with 100 Xing (the currency name in FAO). They can gain money through quests, monster drops, and sometimes rewards for events.

DEATH

            Unfortunately, dying is part of the game. There are red players, and then there are blue players, but death wont make things easy. You lose things when you die, and you gain things when you kill. Here are the benefits and rules.

            ➣ You may only kill 2 players per week.
            ➣ When you die, you lose 50 XP, and all your inventory/xing that isn't in your bank.
            ➣ When you die, you have to post a cool down post of at least 300 words. During this you are in a white room, floating in nothingness, and waiting to respond.
            ➣ People who are red players can obviously be spotted.
