After what turned out to be one of the worst weeks of her entire life, comparable only to that one week in January spent in captivity, Paris wanted nothing more than to get back to her life and pretend that things had gone back to normal. So Chris barely remembered anything about his civilian life for the past four years? She could deal with that. It was difficult, sure, but she could deal. It was better than the alternative would have been—Chris corrupted.
She wouldn't have known what to do with herself then.
More than anything, Paris was happy to leave the hospital behind them. With Chris home, it felt as if things were slowly returning to the way they'd been before. She woke up beside him every morning, kissed him awake, made them breakfast, and drove him to his parents' house while she went to the studio. She didn't like to leave him, but dance helped her cope. Going about life the way she would have if none of this had happened helped her come to terms with it.
Seeing her friends helped the most. Their unwavering support was one of the only things getting her through such a difficult time.
“Thanks for meeting me here,” Paris said, her hands wrapped around a mug of hot chocolate. The cafe was slow at night; it was close to closing time. “I really just needed to get out of the house for a while, you know?”

Raven nodded, giving her friend a smile. “I’ve been worried about you, Paris. Your blog has been pretty dark lately…Is Chris okay? How on earth did he end up getting electrocuted? If there’s anything Jett and I can do to help you guys, you just let me know and we’ll be there…even if he doesn’t want to go, I’ll make him.”
It was insane how things happened in this city…but electrocution was one she hadn’t really heard before and…and honestly part of her wondered what could have caused that, but there was no way that Paris was involved in the way in any form. She was too dainty and delicate. No way at all she could be involved.
The blonde took a sip of her own hot chocolate and sighed heavily. “Also, on a less dramatic note, I’m kind of amused that you’ve gained some weight, sympathy weight, I bet…And you’re lucky it’s only been ten pounds. I’m up to about twenty gained myself, and I feel disgusting for it…but I suppose that’s what happens when your fiancé insists on bringing fast food home for dinner every other night…”
And when you weren’t doing much of anything in the way of exercise…which she knew wasn’t good for her or the baby.Sunshine Alouette Sorry this took so long ;;
