Osiris groaned out as he pulled out of his car, straightening his suit quietly and glancing around at the other attendees making their way inside before he made his way around to open the passenger door. Finally, he was able to convince her to do ONE thing he asked, "Come along, pet. No need to be so sour about this. I promised you it would be fun." The older vampire said and held his hand out to help the vampire out of the seat.

He huffed lightly at her but ignored her attitude and hooked arms with the woman as their car was taken by the valet, "Such a wild and defiant mind. I've always admired that in you, but there comes a time when the defiance gets a little OLD my darling." He whispered then handed her a mask to wear for the gala as they headed into the doors.

Inside, there were crowds of people laughing and talking with drinks in their hands. Some had brought along their human servants to feed on should they get hungry during the trip, and others had some blood bags that they emptied into the wine glasses they carried, "not a bad turn out, I think." Osiris chuckled and led Evanescence towards the middle of the room.

Osiris growled at her comment but said nothing until she asked her question aloud. He smiled underneath the mask and held her waist to bring her closer as the lights began to dim, "we're just in time for it." He purred as a man in a white suit came up onto the stage "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our annual auction. We have a lovely selection for you and we're eager to await your thoughts and generous contribution." He called on the microphone before presenting a muscular looking human for the first item of the night.

"You think I'd waste your time with weaklings like that?" Osiris asked, faking a look of insult before he chuckled and motioned for her to look towards the stage. After the fifth human was taken away, sent to a woman waiting below the steps, the white suited man cleared his throat and stepped up, "and now for the next item on the list." He called, but adjusted his tie. the man turned to see two handlers nearly dragging a large, black wolf onto the stage while trying to avoid getting their ankles bit, "Item number 32, a rare find that was discovered in a human town not too far from Brigsby- (fake town~ woo!) "

The man motioned for the handlers to act, and one of them grabbed onto the wolf's fur then pulled roughly. It yelped and thrashed in it's chains before it shifted into a human man, leaving only his dark hair in the handler's grasp as a wolf pelt fell from his shoulders. He panted hard and struggled to pull on his chains and cover himself while the crowd gasped in awe, "A skinwalker! Proven to be much more durable than just an ordinary human! Any bidders?"

"one million from the lady down at the front! Does anyone wish to dispute this?" He asked, waiting for a few moments as silence filled the room. Most were rich but either didn't carry enough money to challenge the new bidder, or were too stingy to put up money for a the boy. The skinwalker panted and looked around as the announcer called, "going once! . ." Silence still filled the room, "Going twice!. . .Sold, to the lady in the purple gown! Please, come collect your prize at the stairway."

The boy grunted and felt the handler pull him up by his hair before taking the wolf pelt and forcing him to walk away from the spotlight of the auction. He growled and struggled to pull his shoulders away from their grip, but stopped when osiris walked up and grabbed the boy's chin, "not a bad looking specimen."

The boy blinked and looked up towards Evan, a look of resentment and confusion still sitting on his face before he noticed the chain wrapping around her wrist. He grunted and quickly fell onto his knees, whining out when he turned into his wolf form before hurrying after her. Best to stay at her side rather than be choked by the chain around his neck, he thought. The wolf's ear twitched when Osiris caught up with Evanescence and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, "It means I'm finally getting to you, even just an inch~" He purred but looked to the growling wolf and hissed himself, "but, please tell me you don't plan on keeping this mutt inside the manor? He'll make the place entirely filthy."

The wolf gave a small yelp out of surprise, but growled quietly as his muzzle was held before turning his eyes up towards the growling vampire. Osiris felt a hint of regret, giving her the bit of power to choose a new toy for herself, but he just shrugged and decided to sigh instead of fight, "he breaks anything, destroys anything or attacks, I'm not hesitating on disciplining your dog." He pointed out and left to call for their valet.

The skinwalker on the other hand huffed and shook out his fur when she let go of his face, clenching his jaws then sat down on his hind legs. As much as he wanted to pull on his chains, run, even bite his way out to get to the waiting doors. . .he was just too tired. No food for a few days and hardly any sleep had finally taken a toll on the shifter. He panted and decided to lay down to wait for the car to come around.
