The blue eyes calmly moved with the phone, the room was really dark and the light from the screen was the only light source. On the bed some new plushies were found, some souvenirs and Purikura framed up on the little old desk with lovely stationery. It was a small girly room, with a sound, the phone was thrown against the wall. It luckily didn't break.
She stood up, picking up the frame with two girls grimacing, smiling and making different poses and gestures. "Are you happy?" she whispered, thumb brushing over the faces on the surface. Some short strands dangling above the shoulder exposed. The pang of aches and jealousy from just reading tweets etched. She was not the innocent Death huntress that day, but she was affecting her mood.
She shouldn't feel anything more, since that day but things had got out of her expectations. She was a monster, but also a merely human. She wanted to laugh at herself. She could say those weak emotions were all hers but is it the truth?
The long black sheer tights were pulled off and flung onto the bed, she didn't need to hide it from others when she locked herself in the room. For her, it was a secret she wished to hide from friends and acquaintances. For her, it was a reminder to remind herself how they treated her as. She fell in love with leggings an long stockings because of that, colorful one with fancy patterning, they were a good protection and aesthetics. The wide-neck long sleeved shirt just hung onto the small frame, the collar slipped with her movements, barely clung onto the collarbone.
With hairs tied up, she exposed her neck like a young doe as she tilted. Without the plentiful of hair and lovable outfits, she just looked small but the eyes were full of stories. She wasn't young.
She took a small knife out, it was small enough to put in pocket or hide in sleeves, it was that small. Then, she sawed it across one of her fingers until a red solid line created and quickly healed without a wound. "Still red huh?" Why does it still red? Monster's blood shouldn't be red, right? She repeated it daily, kept herself a check, it was like a counting of how many days she had already lived.
Seeing wounds healing instead of leaving scars just reminded her she was abnormal, her sisters were the real humans. They bled in red, the red dyed her red. She cut again, this time, she squeezed around the wound before it healed, a red shiny bead stayed on top of it. She licked it, it tasted sweet and metallic, like normal bloods.
She heard that when hunters died, their bodies would be burn to ash, nothing would leave. Since she deserved nothing, it might be the best for her. She smiled, finding the wound disappeared already. Yup, thinking of some people and that she had to leave them caused her heart to ache painfully. Sadly, it wasn't enough for her to create a thought to stay, not yet. She wanted to die so much, but she also didn't want to break the Promise.
Thus, she had been trying, talking to other people and stayed a while with them. She tested and observed them during the interactions, to her disappointment, she sensitively knew they won't be that one who could stop her. They won't treat her like a flower to be protected even if they knew her better. She wanted to give up all the meaningless attempts, but a part - a part of her soul told her keep trying. She was sensitive ever since she was young, she cheated herself that her parents didn't - but she knew the truth. She even lied to herself that couple will - A Pisces girl always have hopes, and never stop hoping.
When she felt they don't really need her, she put herself distant and told herself it is fine because she doesn't deserve to say anything. She wanted to be useful.
No one knew about the wounds that once created, because she was such a good actress. A smile and they won't suspect. Still need to ask why she was in Death? Her siblings were the only one who can break the mask, even she wore long sleeve clothes and put on long tights, they were able to figure out something is wrong. That was why she loved them and trust them, they really "see" her.
The more she thought of it, the more the her part felt lonely and bitter. She missed them and she wanted to reunion with them. Staying alone was too hard in this world, even each of them born and die alone. She believed they took parts of her soul when they went away, so she never feel completed or full for a moment.
She should go out and see if the person she meet would save her. Like dreamy girls would say: Where's my Prince?" Then, she could visit the seafoam hair friend and took a nap in his nice bed. She pulled on the tights, get her hoodie vest zipped up and on, tapped into her blue boots and closed the door of the dark room.
