Cor Caroli had his head in the clouds. Even though Silas had managed to get him out of the house, he still wasn't feeling a hundred percent up to snuff. He still felt a peculiar hunger, a sort of pang that no amount of food seemed to sate. It was obvious; he was horribly lovesick and craving any intimacy he could get. Silas was a good choice, but he would be high-maintenance in the short term while he got used to things. If only he could find someone for a quick fix... he knew he shouldn't be thinking about those kinds of things, but he couldn't help himself. What if Ploutonion- or rather, the man he had been corrupted into- was around some corner? He would be beside himself. Lost in thought, he wandered right past a stronger Order senshi aura. He did stop, but not until it was a good few paces behind him. Well, if the other senshi was curious, they would pursue. He wouldn't turn down anyone who wanted some company right now.

Rooftops were good vantage points, as were sturdy tree limbs like the ones that he generally went after. At the time the dark-haired senshi wandered by, he was resting on a rooftop with a bottle of water, taking a breather. But the feel of another Order senshi had his proverbial ears perking with interest; he would absolutely follow after this new and unknown person. When Cor Coroli stopped, he capped his water and bounced down to the street level gracefully. "Hey. I've never seen you around before. I'm Aegir." As friendly as ever, the curly-haired senshi of Silence stood with an open body language and a smile as he addressed what would hopefully be a new friend.

Cor Caroli turned around just in time to see Aegir land. He looked over the new arrival and smiled right back. Well, he didn't typically go for light-haired guys, but this one was certainly a looker anyway. And a friendly greeting like that? How could he just walk by? "Hi, Aegir. I'm Cor Caroli. What brings you to this part of town?" Not that there was anything particularly interesting about this part of town, just another block of buildings. He extended his hand for a handshake; it was one of those little things that would tell him a bit more about this interesting character. "Just patrolling? Looking for someone or something?"

Mentally Aegir made note to add the senshi's name to his phone at a later date, he wasn't going to whip it out right then and snap a photo - though it had amused him when Methone had done just that. The blond came close and took Cor Caroli's hand, giving it a firm, friendly shake. "Oh, just patrolling. If I bump into trouble, so be it." "What about you?" His new friend had dark hair that looked soft and wore a costume that reminded him of Castor's, being blue and white and kind of...classic? Cor Caroli seemed nice enough though, smiling right back at him and offering his hand right off like that. "You out looking for trouble?"

A good handshake was a good sign as far as Cor Caroli was concerned. Aegir's apparent attitude towards patrolling matched his own; he would handle trouble if it came up. "Well... not really looking for trouble today," he said, scratching his head. "More like trying to take my mind off trouble. I haven't been out for a while. Some things have happened." He would have no trouble explaining what happened to Aegir, but if it didn't seem like the other senshi was interested, he would just gloss over it. He was torn between "spill guts about it, go on about it endlessly and see if that works" and "completely ignore it and see if that works." Dealing with the stresses of powered life was tough.

"Oh?" Cor Caroli's words and the tilt of his shoulders when he spoke piqued his curiousity. Also, it seemed as though the dark-haired senshi needed to talk about whatever was on his mind, whatever trouble it was he was trying to puzzle out. "What sort of things, if you don't mind my asking?" Aegir folded his hands behind his back and rocked back and forth on his heels while peering curiously at his new friend. And boy oh boy could he have given Cor Caroli an earful on the trials and tribulations of powered life! Nevermind trying to balance civilian life and work in there too. It was madcap, absolutely madcap!

"Mm, well..." Cor Caroli's hands tried to enter non-existent pockets before he remembered that they weren't actually there. That was all the hesitation he gave before the explanation shot out of his mouth, like it was tired of being locked away in his head. "A friend of mine got corrupted into the Negaverse. It was this whole big thing in this one park with a fountain, and this one guy was clearly trying to kill him, and then a General-Queen showed up and that was that." Ploutonion's exact relationship was a little hard to pin down; "one night stand partner and alternate timeline lover" was a bit unwieldy. At least, the alternate timeline part was. "It's complicated," he added, picking at a fingernail.

Initially, though his expression remained sympathetic Aegir was just hearing a story about someone he didn't know (care about yes, in the sense that he cared about all people, but know? no)...but the more Cor Caroli spoke, the paler he got. Ploutonion. He's talking about Rhys, isn't he? Oh christ...'it's complicated' he says -- did they know each other before? Out of uniform? Everything about the whole damned thing is complicated. "You're talking about Ploutonion...aren't you?" The blond's voice was low and a little thick; he felt such guilt over Rhys...the whole situation - he'd managed to stop his immediate corruption once, but had been completely unaware the second time. "He was a friend. I was there when he woke to this life." "You...were there? When it happened?"

Cor Caroli swallowed and nodded. "Yeah. Plouton. You knew him too?" He looked off to the side, then back at Aegir. "Mm-hm. I was right there. I saw the whole thing happen, and then one of my friends dragged me away before I could do anything. I mean, it was probably for the best, because I could have been next if I ran in there... but." Pursing his lips, he found his gaze wavering again. "It was complicated. So, so complicated. There's a part of it that's just weird, like... I'd explain it to you, but it wouldn't make any sense." Glitnir had told him about the mass dreaming thing and the dark future, but how would he explain that to someone else who possibly had never had the dreams?

"Yes. I met him a few years ago...and I met him again when he moved here. Knew who he was outside of transformation too." Something about the way Cor Caroli's expression changed told him that the complicated part was likely due to knowing Ploutonion as Rhys. "I'm sorry you had to be there....I've been at a-- a forced corruption. I don't know who it was, but it was awful." And that was with someone that he hadn't known. Imagining what it would have been like to be essentially left just standing there to watch someone he knew die had left him hurting for days after Nadia and Lorne had told him about it. "Wouldn't make sense?" Aegir gave a short laugh and reached out to gently nudge the other senshi's shoulder. "I believe in talking magical alien cats. I wave a wand around and become a magical freedom fighter from another planet. Try me."

"Oh, so you knew him for longer." Cor Caroli wanted to ask more about Rhys, but there was something else to address first. The nudge brought a tiny smile to his face and settled him down a bit. "You're right. Well... first, I met Plouton while patrolling one day. We, uh, had a one-night stand. I wanted to meet him again, but he never replied to my texts, so... I didn't see him till the night he got corrupted. But there's more." Maybe that was a bit more detail than Aegir wanted and didn't hit the main point, but he was getting there. "Before he got corrupted, I started having dreams of this dystopian future. I was corrupted, and... I was in love with him. Like, we were serious-business lovers. I met up with him, and he kissed me. Yeah, that serious. He tried to take me back to the Order camp to be purified, and then the dream was over." Cor Caroli glanced off to the side and then back at Aegir. "I'm not the only one who's dreamed about a dark future, which makes it kind of... like a consistent alternate timeline thing? My Knight friend said so. But yeah, so... Ploutonion was my alternate-timeline lover and current-timeline one-night-stand partner. That's why things are complicated."

"I didn't know him as well as I would have liked." Because knowing Rhys for a longer stretch of time didn't necessarily mean that he knew the man better than someone that had met him more recently. They hadn't exactly spent copious amounts of time in each other's company in London, or even since he'd been in Destiny City. Some yes, but not much. It was something he regretted deeply. If Cor Caroli's words surprised the curly-haired senshi, he didn't show it much. That he'd had a one-night stand with Rhys wasn't too surprising, though the guy was being awful upfront and open about that relationship. Aegir was too kind a person to take advantage or be cruel with the knowledge, but someone else might not have been. "Ahh." Talk of that ruined future gave him a better understanding of the relationship and also why he was so down. It made sense. Kerberos had spoken in such broken tones about those dreams that he'd been chilled...and here was yet another person that 'participated'. "Well, that certainly does qualify as complicated." With a bit of a sigh, the blond haired senshi shook his head. "I'm really sorry it happened and that you had to be there." Colin was okay with comforting people but this really was a horrifically complicated, weird situation so he was sort-of at a loss for word and action. "Maybe we can get him back, since he was taken." There was something he'd been thinking about since he'd learned that Ploutonion had been corrupted.

"Maybe we can," Cor Caroli mumbled. "But I'm not sure. How would we even do that? We'd have to figure out how to get him away from the Negaverse long enough for someone to purify him, and for all I know that lady would show up and corrupt someone else to replace him. Her aura alone nearly gave me a heart attack." He sighed and took a few steps off to the side. "It feels hopeless, but if you have an idea for getting him back, I'll totally be there."

The dark-haired senshi looked so utterly bereft and lost that Aegir felt he needed a little bit of physical comfort, even from someone newly-met - it might help. Somehow. Poor guy, he's got so much guilt over this...but there wasn't anything he could have done...not against the Negaverse higher-ups. But I know, it doesn't help...not even knowing that.Aegir stepped closer to Cor Caroli's again and put both hands on his shoulders, giving the other man a gentle and - he hoped - reassuring squeeze. "It wasn't your fault. And I don't know exactly how we could pull it off, but anything is possible." Even with the horrifying creatures that had been bent by Chaos, the ones capable of turning someone against their very ideals without batting a lash...the ones responsible for Ploutonion's corruption. Oh, but wait. He did know! "If we could get him and Prince Castor together, his starseed could be purified. I know it's not as simple as that, but..it's a start, right?" "Just don't give up hope, okay?"
