Being a little cat in a big city was proving to be a very difficult thing for Hadaya, but he was determined to do his best, and keep his fluffy little chin up. He had been doing alright so far, padding around on his rather short legs, rummaging for food and shelter, and keeping his eyes open for anyone that needed him. Called to him.
This whole place sang of purpose, he just had to... figure out where the sounds were coming from. Or something metaphorical like that.
It was a quiet night, and he had just woken up from a nice long nap, stretching his body out and shaking his fur after a 'quick' cleaning session. Once he felt reasonably presentable, nerves fluttering in his tummy at the prospect of new and exciting things happening that night. New things always made him a little nervous.
Okay. More than a little.
His mind on his stomach, as if often was for many different reasons, he stepped out into the street. It was a much longer journey than he was anticipating, but since the roads were quiet, he felt he could make it across without much trouble. About half way across, distracted by his building nerves, he did not actually see the truck that was barreling toward him. Which was fair, as the driver did not see him, either.

Although Navi spent a good amount of her evenings powered up, she did not usually spend them patrolling in any way. She had a quote, a minimum amount of energy she was supposed to be collecting, but very seldom did she manage to meet it. Her heart just wasn't in it anymore. In fact, she was a little surprised no one from her court had contacted her about it yet. Or maybe they had sent Lesath, but the other girl just didn't deliver the message, given she knew Navi was planning on leaving the court. Navi didn't know, and she didn't want to ask. Regardless, she was out looking for delinquents and criminals, the scum of the streets, anyone awful enough to help lessen the burden of guilt. She wasn't having much luck though. The streets, it seemed, were clear. Not a thug as far as the eye could see. It meant another night of failing to fill her quota, but...it wasn't like it was the first time it'd happened. Maybe Chaonis was on patrol. He usually was. She could probably find him if she headed over to that side of town. They'd been together long enough now, she knew his route like the back of her hand, and he didn't often deviate from that path without a good reason. With a hum she set out in that direction. About half way there she noticed it, the little cat crossing the road and the giant truck speeding towards it. It didn't notice it, but even if it had- "s**t!" The trucks horn blared as the DMC came darting out of nowhere to literally dive across their field of view. There was a split second where even Navi thought the front bumper would hit her, then she was rolling on the sidewalk with a small bundle of fur in her arms.

Hadaya was not sure when he learned to fly, but it certainly came on suddenly and he had absolutely no control of how he was spinning around. Plus, all of his paws seemed to be under some kind of strange pressure, keeping him all bundled up.
He heard the whirring horn of a truck going way too fast as it whizzed by and finally realized that was what had spilled all that light over him while he was trying to cross the road. He had not even seen it!
Oh God, it could have run him over, and that would have been it. The end of Hadaya.
Looking up with terribly wide, large eyes, he saw the young woman responsible for saving him. It had not been spontaneous, protective flying, but rather a darkly clad guardian angel that had swooped out of no where to get him out of harms way.
"Oh, thank you!" he purred, his voice breaking a bit in his relief and remaining anxiety that clung to his chest. He rubbed his body against her, pushing against her with enthusiasm. His purrs rumbled louder than his little voice. "You saved my life! You're amazing!"

She'd come up from the tumble on her knees, one hand braced on the ground in front of her, wide eyes glowed on the retreating red blaze of taillights as the truck drove off down the road. They had both just come very very close to become street pancakes. It hadn't been immediately obvious that what Navi had dove into the road for was a guardian cat, she figured it out really fast with the little cat in her arms started talking. "Oh!" He was butting his head against her in gratitude, nuzzling and purring, and she couldn't help but smile. "You're very welcome." This was certainly a surprise. "Are you alright?" She had tackled him rather hard. "I didn't hurt you, did I?" Getting to her feet again, her grip on him loosened enough for him to situate himself, or even leave if he'd wanted to. But she wanted to be off the street before someone noticed her.

"Oh, I'm fine! I'm used to falling and tumbling, but not getting run over by trucks! I'm not really sure I would. Uh. Like that. At all. Anyway! You were really amazing, you came out so fast!"
He did not remove himself from her hold, instead, leaning against her and rumbling happily. Usually he was a bit more shy and reserved, at least at first, but then again he usually was not getting his life saved by someone. This was a very special case, and a very special person.
It did not occur to him that she would not want to be spotted just yet, as wrapped up in adoring her as he was.
"My name is Hadaya! You're a senshi! But not the Order kind. Well, it doesn't really matter, if you're saving little things like me anyway. I uhm. Oh I'm getting fur all over your dress. I'm sorry!"
He did not stop leaning against her or purring, however.

"no, I would imagine not. Better to avoid that." She chuckled softly, walking swiftly back across the street and into the park. There was a mirror there she could use to be elsewhere. The community center was her safe haven, so that was where she was headed. They had almost reached the bathrooms when he introduced himself and commented on her aura. It made her slow for a step or two, waiting for the criticism, the accusations, but none came. Only more praise, and an apology. "Oh, no. It's okay. It won't be there next time I power up." Probably. Honestly she wasn't sure, but it didn't really matter. He was too cute for her to care about a little hair on her fuku. "I'm Navi, and you're right. I'm not order." Yet. "I'm a part of the Dark Mirror Court." For now. "But I'm not going to hurt you." It had been a long time since Navi had exchanged blows with someone from the opposing faction. "You should be more careful," she urged gently, bringing a hand up to smooth her thumb between his little ears, then scratching behind one. "There's a lot of dangerous stuff here."

"Oh, of course, that's true! Well, at least you're not allergic to cat fur. Unless you are. In which case. Also sorry. Again."
He listened with interest as she explained she was with the Dark Mirrors, but she definitely did not act like an enemy to him. Chaos could be a very tricky thing, and he knew better than to trust it out right, but there was no reason to save his life just to hurt him or kill him later. She maybe had thought he was a normal cat at the time, but even so. Someone willing to leap in front of a huge truck to save even a normal kitty was someone that was worth investing in.
There was a good heart and a pure soul in her, and he felt a strong pull toward her. Though they just met, he was sure she would be his friend and guardian angel again.
Yup, he loved her already.
Purring and leaning against her contentedly, glad to be off his tiny paws and traveling much faster than he would have if left to his own devices, he looked up at her with a dopey look on his face, whiskers pushed forward, eyes half closed. When she scratched his head he lulled against her, head tilting sideways toward her touch. He was barely paying attention to the conversation now, in heaven.
"Well, if there are people like you around, then I'll be safe. I won't be walking out into the middle of the road again any time soon. Or if I do, I'll look both ways before I cross."

With a soft chuckle Navi gave a small shake of her head, smiling down at him. "No, I'm not allergic at all." He pressed into her hand, purring, and she rewarded him with a few scratches along his chin as well. It seemed he was quite content to rest in her arms, regardless of her chaotic aura. When they reached the bathroom she'd turn to open the door with her shoulder. "There are people like me, but I can't promise they're all as nice, or would be as peaceful. Even among my own court." It was growing, more and more each night it seemed, and Navi had lost touch with even those she used to hold dear. She didn't have a clue what the newer senshi were like, if they were kind. Stroking between his ears, she looked down at him. "You're a little thing, be wary of folks with chaotic auras." A silken ear was rubbed between gentle fingers. "Would rather you didn't get hurt, not after going through the trouble to save you." Which was why she was taking him somewhere safe. Stepping into the mirror, the girl moved quickly across mirror space to slip through a second, out into cramped basement storage room of the community center. There was no familiar order aura to meet them, and for a moment Navi was disappointed, but she knew Chaonis was safe, she'd talked to him earlier that evening before either senshi had started their night.

Hadaya was oblivious to the plan of moving through a mirror until she was moving through it, though it was over before he could really focus on anything. It was a surprise to him, as he had never traveled like that before. Hell, he had never been in a car before.
That was incredibly new. He was not even sure what to think of it, as he would need to see it in action a few more times.
Which he did not really want to do, in case he found he did not, in fact, like it.
"Wow! Where are we now? You can just go where ever you want? I'm sorry, I don't know much about Dark Mirror Senshi. It's the White Moon ones I know. Well... kinda... I... I mean, I... know some things. Is this your home?"
It did not look like much of a house... and it was a mess if she did live here... but who was he to judge how someone lived? Sometimes he slept on top of trash cans. He did not LIKE to, but still. He felt worried that she might not have a real home, either, and he did not think that was a fitting situation for a guardian angel.

By now Navi was quite used to shock and awe reactions when it came to traveling through the mirror. It was second nature to her, she did it all the time, but she couldn't say the same for everyone, and certainly not a dainty little order aligned guardian cat. Chuckling, Navi gave him another fond few scratches beneath the chin. "We're at the community center on the other side of town." Turning sideways, she shimmied around a few old Christmas decorations to head for the door, then the stairs. "This is my safe place, my haven. You'll be safe here as well." She took him all the way up to her and Chaonis' little hidey-hole. Their own personal paradise. With the comforts, the pillows and blankets, the books and other odds and ends. She crossed the room to place the small cat on the head of the giant teddy bear that sat in the corner. "This is my second home, actually. A home away from home." Folding her arms across the bear's nose, she leaned forward on it, nose to nose with the little tabby cat. "And yes, I can go anywhere there's a full length mirror. Neat trick, right?" It was probably ting she was going to miss most about being a Dark Mirror Senshi. Other than the people, of course.

"Oh this is like a bunker, like a hiding place! I mean, you said that but... this is a cool place! And no one else knows about it? Just you and now me? I feel so honored!"
He was purring in delight, rubbing against her and then against the teddy bear she placed him on. He ran his body over it, curling around until he was on his back, his stumpy little legs in the air. He looked back at her, upside down, grinning a kitty grin.
"I wish I could travel like that. These legs are not, surprisingly, very good at going long distances. Or jumping. Or balancing. Or much of anything, really."
He leaned his head forward to bump her nose affectionately with his head, though the movement put him off balance on the head of the teddy and made him slide forward more than he wanted to. He ended up slipping off the bear with a surprised little yowl.
Not that he should really be surprised about falling off of things, these days. It seemed to happen all the time...

"Something like that. I mean it's not exactly secure, but it's hidden." Grinning, she offered the cat a wink. "You me and the eternal senshi of danger. If you ever run into him, just say my name, and you'll have a friend in him as well." She wondered if perhaps bringing him to the community center wasn't a foolish idea, him being an order aligned guardian cat and all, but she didn't think he'd turn on her. Although.. "Just don't tell anyone about it, okay?" Better safe than sorry on this point. "It'll be our little secret." The delicate bump from his nose had her closing her eyes, smiling softly, but when he toppled over she was quick to catch him. Cradling him to her chest again she turned and sank down to sit on the giant bear's over stuffed stomach, reclining back against it. "Careful." Gentle fingers slid along one small ear, then down to smooth the fur along his brow.

"I won't tell anyone!"
He grinned up at her from her arms, cuddling against her chest and purring away as she sat with him. He was much happier when he was being held, anyway, though he preferred to not fall off of things if he could help it. Most of the time he just did not have a choice in the matter.
"I'm very happy to have met you, Navi! I know you have to be a good person, if you're friends with a White Moon senshi and don't want to hurt a white moon cat! And you saved my life. You're the best person I've met so far."
Basically, in his little kitty way, he already loved her. He wanted to stick with her, stay close or just in her arms if he could, and he was more than happy to let her hold on to him as long as she wanted.
Soon enough, though, she would have to go somewhere, and he would probably be alone again. That thought saddened him, but now it was more because he was worried something might happen to her, and he should take care of her like she did for him. Everyone needed a guardian, right?

Navi grinned back down at him, scratching under his chin again. "Good." It was probably foolish of her, but she really wanted to trust him. Unusual for her, given her recent unease around new faces, but there was just something about him she found utterly calming. "The best? I'm afraid you've had a poor sampling then." She didn't consider herself all that great. Once upon a time, but the life of a senshi could be a humbling one, regardless of what side you fought for. She did try to be a good person, though. That much, she hoped, she succeeded at. Sinking a little further into the bear's plush belly, Navi shifted the small cat so he could curl up on crossed legs, freeing both hands up so she could stroke along his ears, down his neck, and along his back. "You can stay here, if you want. If you don't have anywhere else to go." It wasn't ideal, but it was better than wandering the streets. "I would take you home if I could, but...I don't think I can." Given her roommate was a princess of chaos, that might not have been the best idea.

"Thank you! It beats sleeping outside, I can tell you that. I always worry some big rat or something is going to find me and eat me if I sleep outside..."
Leave it to Hadaya, the least cat like cat around, to be afraid of something most other cats loved to hunt and play with. He did not even like little mice, let alone giant rats!
With stumpy legs like his, hunting had never really been his forte.
Neither was running or jumping.
Walking was pretty iffy sometimes, too, as he had pretty bad balance.
"I really appreciate you letting me stay here. I promise I won't break anything. Or get any fur on anything."
