Getting up early was not one of Radley's strong suits.

Rubbing her face and attempting not to yawn, the hunter made her way to the best likely place there would be coffee. After all, one couldn't start their day without the blessed bean.

Waltzing up to the coffee machine, Radley grabbed a cup and started to fill it, resting her head on the machine for just a moment.

Just a brief moment.

The slow pour of the coffee wasn't fast enough for her - her mouth was drooling just waiting for it.

Some days Clyde could roll out of bed and start the day on nothing. In fact many times he had to. Sometimes that meant he was sleeping somewhere a little too far from a decent coffee maker, though he had gotten one stored away in his pack back for some time. more commonly that meant there was no coffee to be had.

But one of the great benefits to living in one spot for more than a week was simple pleasures, like coffee was easily found. Though waking up in the same spot was still disorienting even after about a month here, being able to make his way tot he coffee was one of the best pleasures about working here.

Though today was worst than other days. he had dressed but he walked, eyes still squinted up and in a half asleep fog. He was later than his usual... and just couldn't seem to wake up. In fact in his one way trip to coffee, he didn't even see the one who had made it there first because he was so used to no one being there when he arrived. He almost ran them over till he felt something that wasn't supposed to be there.

"...." he made a sound that was supposed to be words but... sounded more like a zombie groan.

Startled, Radley glanced up at feeling a figure almost press against her, leaning her head back far enough she could stare him in the face.

Her hair looked so fuzzy it practically resembled a sheep.

"Uh. Excuse you?" Usually she wasn't so bitey, but Radley hadn't had her coffee yet. If he wanted all digits attached he'd keep his hands to himself until she'd gotten her full cup of java.

"'m 'orry." sleepy hunter was too sleepy to even get out his words. He just took a step back and waited politely and kept his hands to himself. For some strange reason he had a sensation that they might be bitten off if they got to close to the other hunter.

Radley couldn't help but smirk, shaking her head as her cup finished filling. She took it gently between her hands and placed another one under it, starting it for him. He sounded like he needed it just as badly as she did.

"I'm Radley. I don't bite after coffee, if you wanna sit with me."

" 'mm you Radley" he licked his lips, mouth still dry but he sounded like he was starting to human at least a little better.

"Coffee." That might have been a request, an observation or an explanation. Clyde might have also been depending on the fact that she clearly was a fellow coffee drinker an needed it too.

"Yes." Give him about 10 minutes and he will be functional, promise.

She had to try really hard not to snort into her cup, swallowing a large gulp of hot coffee and breathing out really hard.

"You must really love coffee if that's your name." Yawning widely, Radley stretched out in her chair and stared at the table for a long moment, letting the warm cup rest between her palms. It was only a few days ago that she'd been brave enough to win her first fight, and actually talk to people... it was almost like she'd been on the street again.

Of course, there was no place for a thief here... but there was a place for a thief's tricks, if one knew how to apply them.

Wiping sleepy tears from her eyes, Radley yawned again and put her coffee on the table, stretching her whole body in the chair. Man that felt good.

Clyde nodded. Yes he was changing his name to coffee now. Not. Clyde waited eyes till squinting out into the world as he waited for coffee. The life blood of the morning.

Once it was finished fulling he took his first sip of sweet relief. It wasn't working yet but at least his mouth wasn't dry anymore. He stumbled over to the table and at down, hoarding his cup.

"My name is Clyde." he told Randely with a nod. "Moon division..." he added a beat later. because that was important yeah.

"Ah. I see." She blinked slowly, realizing that she hadn't said her own division. Ooooops.

"I'm in the Mist Division, myself." She smiled and took another long, slow sip of her coffee. Needed more sugar. Damn. Standing up, she glanced around for the sugar and nodded to herself when she found it, grabbing a spoon and sitting back down.

And then she turned the sugar container over, keeping a side eye on it while her gaze slid to him.

"What kind of things do you like doing, Clyde? By the way, LOVE your name. Reminds me of Pac-Man." Five to seven seconds... yeah, that was enough sugar. Righting the canister, Radley stirred with the spoon as she set the sugar down, grabbed the creamer on the table and added about five of those, as well.

She stirred once more, then took a sip and practically moaned. "Perfect."

Mist division. Wasn't Tommy also in mist? He seemed to run into a lot of them.

"like a little coffee with your sugar?" he mused looking at her cup. That was a lot of packets...

"My name? Pac-man? The little ghosty thing?" he laughed. "Well that's a first. usually people as my where my Bonnie is." he took another sip of his morning coffee, black as black can be.

"Oh! Yes, like the song." Smiling wide, Radley stirred her coffee absent-mindedly. "Yeah, it's perfect. The right amount of sugar and creamer, and it makes a mean coffee that lasts all day. I also love Irish Cream and Hazelnut, if I can get it." Winking at him, she took another drink.

"Have you been here long? I'm still trying to get the hang of things, myself."

"Yes like the song." he smiled amused and leaned back humming the first few lyrics. "My Bonnie lies over the ocean My Bonnie lies over the sea" he sang in a not so bad voice. He wasn't the best but the notes were right. But that wasn't really what he was talking about. It didn't matter, this conversation was a nice wake up one before work anyways.

"I don't have any creamer for you. I don't use any of it, on the bright side, if they have it here fore you, more for you." Clyde never used creamer. Coffee was something you drank straight and sometimes filtered through a sock.

"I've been here... what a few weeks? A Month or so now? they have me working most of the time so time blends together.." He already had half a mind of where he would pick up again today. He needed to finish removing the old foundation on that house. And then he could start form scratch.

"Yeah... it's a bit different here." Radley had been here a fair bit longer than she realized, being on the island of suffering - as she liked to call it - but she hadn't made the chance to actually get out there and make friends.

She agreed that time did blend together, and nodded at his statement. "Ah... yeah, more creamer for me. Yessss." She took another long sip, closing her eyes and melting a little bit more in her chair.

Mornings were nice as long as one had coffee.

"I've noticed. I haven't ran into that much trouble yet... except the training is intense here. It has piranhas and lasers and darts." he laughed. "When I first woke up I thought I had walked into a scifi movie. I am getting used to it though. Slowly. They," he held up his phone to suggest who they were, "tell me it's normal and you get used to it."

He watched in amusement as she hoarded her coffee, starting to wake up himself. Ok maybe the was his shoulder hunched over and the way he held the coffee closed suggested he to was hoarding his coffee. Or like someone who was use to guarding these things.

For Radley, it was a bit of comfort in the way that she hunched over her coffee - not only did it make her feel natural, but it helped to warm her body up, too. Not that she had a problem with heat with the way she layered, but it helped in the early hours of the mornings.

It was good to wake up early again, but Radley found herself wanting to socialize more in the most recent events - wanting to make friends, even though last time she'd made friends it had ended up backfiring horribly.

Even so, it felt different here. Safer. And of all the people she met, she opened up that much more.

"So... in a sci-fi movie, huh? Which one did you think you were in?" Radley hadn't seen very many, but she beamed as she waited for his answer, enjoying the company.
