Less than a week after our Captain comes back and Gaia releases a new gold sink based event. (Not to imply that the two events are connected at all.)
Previous gold sink events have seemed to make a small affect on market prices and inflation while they're going on, but the effects quickly fade once the event ends. Will this one be any different? Yes? No? Why?
Your thoughts.

With the way the MP is generating gold now, via the GC purchase option, they were going to have to pull one out eventually.
The problem I have with it is this:
Donate 15 Trillion Gold!
NPCon will receive 10% of all global donations to use toward contests and prizes! (1.5 Trillion thrown back into the economy)
Donate 60 Trillion Gold!
NPCon will receive 25% of all global donations to use toward contests and prizes! (15 Trillion thrown back into the economy)
Donate 100 Trillion Gold!
NPCon will receive a total of 50% of all global donations to use toward contests and prizes! (50 Trillion thrown back into the economy)
Makes me not want to donate anything to avoid those tiers.
If 300 people were to donate 50 billion then it will reach the 15 Trillion tier. I'm sure it will get there too and 1.5 Trillion doesn't get flushed out. If 1,200 people donated 50 billion, then it will reach the 60 Trillion tier and 15 Trillion doesn't get flushed. so on and so forth....
Gaia's goldsinks/kickstarters are only partial gold sinks. I'd rather donate straight to the NPCon mule. I did the same thing for the Newbie Support Guild event. I haven't really donated to a kickstarter in a while actually. I can take my 50 billion to the gold shops, if I shop smart, and use the items I come out with to draw out more gold from the economy by selling them and wash it away again xp
