Height: 5'4"
Weight: 132 lbs
Hair Color: Bright red with a yellow streak.
Eye Color: Green (emerald, specifically)
Distinguishing Features: Aside from her clear choice of multichromatic physical features and modest-yet-revealing choice of attire, Sylvia has an arm-length array of tattoos nearly covering the entirety of her left arm from shoulder to wrist. As often as not, she channels her learned powers through these as an arcane medium.

Personality: At a first glance, Sylvia is very little more than a puffed-up prancer, assuming one can get past her many methods of persuasion. While she comes off as aloof and perpetually-playful (not without reason; she is plenty playful), beneath her wily charms lies a woman so methodical as to see nothing as sacred enough not to compromise in an effort to achieve a goal. When in a first meet, Sylvia will more often than not switch between relentless flirtation and idle conversation solely for the sake of scoping out what she can use to her advantage at all further meets.
Above all else, Sylvia enjoys mind games and toying with those she perceives as threats and adversaries. While she is admittedly brash and occasionally abrasive, anyone capable of challenging her wits and successfully besting her at what she deems "her own game" is more than likely to draw her attention, as (like her creator Sara) she is incapable of walking away from a challenge that has defeated her until she prevails on her own.
Likes:
.xx► Mind games - particularly on the grounds of any given moral compass or the "she loves me/she loves me not" dance.
.xx► Challenge - needless to say, if she cannot be made to be invested, she will leave.
.xx► Crossing - Sylvia's first look at any alleged "good-vs-evil" conflict is of a perspective of enmity value. If she deems an ending adversary to be unsuitable as a game-ending enemy, she will strive to take its place.
.xx► Spotlights - Sylvia thrives on the attention of others, be it the hatred or admiration, it doesn't matter; she intends to be widely known, and enjoys every moment of it.
Dislikes:
.xx► "Straight into a fight" attitude - in her own words "haven't you heard of foreplay?"... not literally, mind you, but long story short she likes exposition and rather strongly dislikes its absence.
.xx► Mindlessness - similar yet not entirely identical to the point above, Sylvia respects the intelligence of others and holds them to a fairly high standard. Her disappointment in those not meeting those standards is a certain black mark on their record.
.xx► Inflated Egos - controversial to her own disposition, this swings only half of one way; Sylvia dislikes anyone who will show off an ego bigger than her own, and will (under ordinary circumstances) gladly cut it down to size.
.xx► VR-RL transparency - having had a history of gaming in the world and its limited VR counterparts, Sara (moreso than Sylvia) has a deep distaste for anything or anyone that has no discrimination between Virtual and True Realities.
Strengths: Like her creator, Sylvia possesses undeniably strong force of will and intelligence which she can adapt to (or without, in those rare cases in which it is needed not to have) at nearly any given time. She is skilled in flirtation, manipulation, destruction and (as needed) seduction - though will most often satisfy herself on using the first two methods in tandem with each other. While Sara lacks in endurance and athleticism, Sylvia often works around with sheer acrobatic grace, treating combat more as a dance of metal and explosions rather than an actual fight.
Weaknesses: Sylvia suffers constantly from a bias in her own moral compass. As her philosophy stands word-for-word as "someone will need to be the hero I could never be, so that I can become the villain no one else can be", she frequently sets herself up as a martyr despite never intending to be considered one. As a result, her own strengths in manipulation and flirtation often come back to haunt her the moment she succeeds. Additionally, despite her skill in avoidance, she is tragically frail.
History: Sara was always a curious but eager child. Opting into Girl Scouts early in her schooling, she learned rather quickly and excelled through school up until graduation. With a lot of time on her hands, and no small love of exhibiting her skills, she started gaming. Ultimately, while very new to the scene, she developed a history fairly quickly, stumbling into event after event at a fairly cruel learning curve that even her self-proclaimed learning expertise didn't quite match up to.
A few months later, as she started college, Sara branched into the virtual world and found herself slightly more at ease with living her dreams in something far closer to being in person. While she had yet another setback - and studying for college was in fact a terrible setback - she managed her time well, still managing to make several hours' worth of gameplay each day. Having played the character that was Sylvia LaCroix in several other games before, she grew to adopt a number of her traits alongside her own, which itself made her fairly popular in the social light.
Sara currently lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana, about 50 miles from where she grew up. She is a student at IU-Purdue majoring in theatre with a minor in criminal justice, both - incidentally - of which she applies well across her experiences.
As far as Sylvia in character? -----
Much like the rise of the landborn Siren race as a whole, Sylvia was the offspring of an original siren and a now-deceased sailor. Though no details will be provided, suffice it to say the sailor was seduced and drowned in his final act that eventually brought Sylvia into the world.
As it happens, Sylvia was left along the shore, as she could not survive underwater for any length of time. Discovered by a young lady named Madeline Yale, she was taken in and raised as a younger sister of sorts. In this time - sixteen years, not counting - she grew to find an appreciation for the arts of magic and learned how to use them in tandem with her own natural abilities as a Siren. It wasn't until the day she left that she learned that Madeline was also a Siren, and of a very like mind to herself.
While she originally took to life as an entertainer - an all-too-easy thing for her to accomplish, between pyrokinetics and a Siren's natural gift in commanding an audience to be entertained (let alone fawn all over her) - she grew bored in roughly three years' time when yet another Siren of like mind swayed her towards taking a more active approach to life. Though she never quite got this other's name, a number of similarities stuck out between her and Madeline, and the term "sister" was all-too present throughout the conversation.
So Sylvia started digging for information about her kin, and found her own name in a unique set of four Sirens supposed to perpetually walk the earth; Madeline Yale, Sylvia LaCroix, Alliana Mirai and Lillio Kalani. With little more than a book mentioning her as something of a phoenix, and deciding she needed to know what she was to begin with, she struck out again - first to her old home at the Yale residence, only to find Madeline was no longer there. Instead she took to wandering without any more leads, juggling whether to learn her predetermined role in the world or to carve out her own fate, and leaning rather closely to the latter despite her rampant curiosity for the former.

Goals: Sylvia's life story thus far is the iteration of a single challenge that has left her stumped and thwarted at every turn. Her entire frustration with this being so far beyond her aside, in exploring the world around her she is given the opportunity to learn about not only herself, but expand on her magical studies in the field. That, and given the rise of a larger conflict, she will inevitably see fit to seize a daring opportunity and live the life of the stylized thrill-seeker she always dreamed to be.

Abilities:
Song of the People
- A distorted version of the haunting, lilting tune sea sirens used to lure men to them. Song of the People is a lullaby created to coax others into a state of hypnotism. The user simply has to craft new words to a slightly different tune and the target will be like clay in their hands.
- ⊲ Beauty at Work; a lust song. Lulls its targets into a state of weak knees and heart eyes.
- ↳ Costs 30 mana to sing.
⊲ Dreamare Mirage; an illusion song. Overwrites the senses to weave together an illusion that lasts for a specific period of time.
- ↳ Costs 50 mana to sing.
⊲ Sullen Slumber; a lullaby. A sweet, haunting tune that encourages heavy lids and collapsing limbs from its target.
- ↳ Costs 40 mana to sing.
Screech
- The user places their hands firmly over their ears or eyes and crouches, releasing a sonic-boom sounding shriek that can create vibrations strong enough to cut down trees or other players. Screech can be tuned to specific frequencies and aimed in one direction after much practice, but it's a powerful, unpredictable ability most of the time. Few users ever truly master control of it.
- ⊲ Beacon; vibrations of sound waves travel out in a circle from the user. Large and powerful, utilized for mass destruction to a large area. Diffraction of the waves causes it to bounce around obstacles and reach every nook and cranny.
- ↳ Costs 200 mana to sing.
⊲ Point Burst; sound vibrations move in circles directly through a medium to the targeted foe or structure. Precise and disciplined, much like a laser beam.
- ↳ Costs 300 mana to sing.
