Literary Freak I imagine him speaking only japanese, so depending on your character, it might be interesting Hidehara Urushihara The clouds were trinkling with rain, slowly building up to the point where rain might as well be a weapon of choice. The thunderclouds boomed along the ocean as the lightning erupted at one of the islands nearby. Hidehara was at one of the islands, he was fighting one of the demons that had been after him for awhile. If one wondered, Hidehara is a Baku....and no he is not a beast with an elephant trunk, ox tail, tiger claws, and some sort of weird body. You could say Hidehara was another generation of Bakus who are disguised as humans. Well, Hidehara is the second generation, so he is kind of new to the whole thing. If one wonders what Bakus are, they are demons that feed off of dreams and nightmares from whoever they desire. They get that power from the dream or nightmare and change the dream to their will. Back to the story though: Hidehara had been followed by a specific demon for many months, more specifically a Bakeneko. "You just won't go away would you?!" He spoke in a thick Japanese accent as the Bakeneko hissed and proceeded to attack. Hidehara hissed and used his 'tiger' claw to swipe at the creature, it was easy as the demon only wanted his power. Some sort of weird rumor that if one consumed the Baku spirit, they will have their power...or some...stupid thing like that. So once his claws swiped at the bakeneko, it seemed very easy but it seemed like the demon had a 'fail-safe' move. With a swipe of a tail, Hidehara had been dragged out of the hill to fall toward the water. But with one hand, he grabbed one of the edges and watched the demon fall. Hidehara then started laughing. "THAT...was your plan?! You're pathetic!" But when he turned his head, he saw a darkened figure up above him. "No....you are." The man then kicked his head making him fall into the water, and unconscious. ________________________________________________________________ The ocean waves soon have turned quiet once the man had hit the waters, and soon the noises have been replaced by....honks? The noise confused the man as he then could feel his face on the sand, making him get up and feel the scratchy rocks on his hands. He happened to look up, and it would later cause a panic attack. He could see 'things' moving by so quickly that even he had to back up. His feet touched the water which made him turn around to see....to see. "WHAT IS THAT?!" He could see something flying above him, creating a roar that he would not believe! "Is th-that a dragon?!" He was in awe, and yet was in fear when so many colors approached. It even got worse when he saw....the people. "What in the great....-?!" He was in shock to see the women....their hairs! It was too many colors! He had to book it out of there. He did not even see the looks of the many people in his weird asian attire. But he was starting to get a headache, and there were noises all around. He did not even realize he bumped into someone, which made him shout in pain: "Idaina megami ni yotte!" He then rubbed his head.

Lyla Johnson was not the typical beach girl. Sure, she had blonde hair and loved the smell of the salty sea, but what really got Lyla excited was books. She adored them, devoured them, spent obscene amounts of time scouring through page after page after page of books. She would read almost anything, often going on binges of one genre for several months before moving onto the next. She loved to read, and that passion carried into her dreams of a future. She was a student at the local university where she intended to obtain a degree in English and Education so she could become teacher. The thought of having her own class and be able to teach about the very books she loved motivated her to spend absurd amounts of time studying to ensure she was on top of her class. Naturally, this obsession earned her little time for friends, but the ones she did have were incredibly close. It was Midterms, the dreaded part of the semester when every student manages at least one 24 hour period without sleep. If there wasn't at least two coffee shops on campus, the student population would be the equivalent of zombies. Lyla felt prepared, she had studied her course materials efficiently and repeatedly, so she decided to take a small break. Her feet led her to the beach, where she produced a book from her cluttered backpack and began reading. It was a short novel she had bought in a used bookstore, but it was captivating. Lyla continued to walk along the sandy shore, engulfed in her book when she felt a hard smack and toppled over. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry I told myself not to walk and read, but I have abad habit of not listening to my good advice." The woman apologized, squinting through the sun to see which poor beach goer had the misfortune to be plowed over by a klutz like her. She raised her eyebrows in surprise and slight confusion when she saw that she had bowled over a man dressed in what looked like very traditional clothing. Sure, the beach got tourists a lot, but no one ever wore such outlandish garb. It was hot, and the man's clothing didn't exactly seem like the most breathable fabric. Not only that, but it didn't seem like he spoke any english. Good going Lyla, you just ruined somebody's expectation of Americans. The student racked her brain in hopes of recalling anything from her classes on world language. S-sumimasen! She stuttered out, hoping that she was correct. She scrambled up, realizing she had been sitting in the sand since she had been knocked over. Hopefully the stranger wasn't too upset with her, he seemed pretty intimidating.

Literary Freak ...I think I need to tell you what I said next time Can't figure out what sumimasen is XD. Also I imagine him wearing a red haori-hakama. Link hereedit: I just found out what sumimasen meant. Hidehara Urushihara Hidehara rubbed his head with his Haori sleeve, unable to get his head together. He still felt the grainy sand that he was sitting on, as he took some deep breaths before able to finally see everything around him. He did take a look at whoever hit him, and another aroma of colors smacked his head mentally. God!, where is the black hair?...Unless.... He then jumped out and with his claws unsheathed he pointed three fingers at the lady. "Are you a demon?! If so, what are you?"Anata wa akumadesu! Moshi sōnara, anata wa nanidesu ka? It was going to be a surprise of his life when he found out where he landed on, almost no one spoke his languages..except for hopeless otakus. He then suddenly felt...very hot. He had to roll his sleeves up which was hard considering how big those sleeves are. but he eventually was able to until only his lower arm was seen. It feels...really hot in here"And also! What is this place?! Is this the Demon world that I heard about?!"Mata! Kono basho wa nanidesu ka? Kore wa watashi ga hanashi o kiita oni no sekaidesu! He did hear a bunch of people talking behind him, but it was....a whole different language he could not understand. He was able to read emotions and expressions, and of those he read confusion and shock. What? What the hell are they looking at? He wanted to say but so far, he knew in his stressed-out mind that his native language was NOT working at this point. But he kind of....had to try right?

ShadowStream-chan Oh, so much better knowing what he's saying XD Lyla jumped backwards when he pointed at her. Are those claws? Is this guy some kind of cosplayer? She thought as she held her hands up and tried to motion for him to calm down. He seemed incredibly angry, incredibly pissed. The woman looked around in hopes that someone would approach them and intervene. This guy had to be crazy, or maybe it was the heat? Lyla could see that he was starting to overheat, so perhaps he was just a twinge delusional. She pulled her water bottle out of her bag and held it up. Whats water again? Uh... uh...Mizu? Oh yeah! Miss, here drink it. She motioned for him to take the water as he continued to yell. Lyla dreaded not paying as close attention as she should have in her world languages class. She could only pick up on one or two words, but it wasn't enough to piece together what the man wanted. A crowd was starting to gather, and the woman was starting to feel anxious. She despised being gawked at, she detested being the center of attention. She looked around nervously before shoving her water and book in her bag. Oh, would you look at the time. We have to go before we miss our audition! No more practicing, or we'll be late! She said loudly and began to push the man away from the crowd and towards a less populated area of the beach. It seemed to have worked, as the crowd dispersed. Lyla shook her head and pulled out her phone before opening up a translating app. She checked to make sure it was set to the right language and hurriedly spoke into the phone. Are you injured? The phone paused for a moment as it processed her speech and soon spoke loud and clear. Anata wa fushō shite imasu ka? She was still concerned he was suffering heat exhaustion and felt like she needed to get him to a hospital.

Literary Freak typing on a phone is hard. Hidehara Urushihara Hidehara now was even more confused! Why was she so scared?! He was asking her a question! A question of where he was! Then a crowd forms! "Get away you fools! I am trying to have a conversation here!"Anata orokamono o nigemasu! Watashi wa koko de no kaiwa o motte shiyou to shite imasu! But instead he was dragged away from the crowd, with her saying something out loud. He blinked a couple of times as they went to a corner where no one is. She then pulled something which made him get defensive until he saw the very thin, large rectangular.....thingy. "What the hell is that?"Sore wa ittai nanidesu ka? And then it started speaking! "A box demon!"Hako no akuma! He then picked up the box and started speaking. "Hei! Bokkusu akuma! Korera no ningen wa omoshiroi hanashite imasu!Watashi wa watashi wa kangaete imasu!Ima oshiete!" But instead of responding to him, the demon binged and spoke a totally different language: "Hey! Box Demon! These humans are speaking funny! I have no idea where I am! Tell me now!"Watashi wa anata o imi shimasu! Bokkusu oni! Kono josei wa watashi ni nani no koto o oshiete kuremasen! Watashi wa doko de oshietekudasai!" Beep. I mean you! Box demon! This woman won't tell me anything! Tell me where I am!"Ima hanashi tari, anata wa shinimasu! Orokana seihōkei!"Beep. Speak now or you die! Stupid square!"YOU ARE GOING TO GET IT, DOKE!" Before he planned to slam the demon against the rock, suddenly a loud boom was heard from the ocean. It made him stop and stare at the source. He then loosened the grip on the box demon before giving the girl back her phone. "You're friend was lucky. I was about to kill it."Anata wa yūjin ga rakkīdeshita ne.Watashi wa sore o korosu koto o yaku arimashita. But the demon beeped again and gave away the English translation to the girl. Hidehara then jumped up from rock to rock, about 30 feet doge could see better. Suddenly there was a ripple on the water, showing its massive size. "You're a big one aren't you?" As soon as he said that, a big dragon head and the neck came out of the water, letting out a roar that was not close to fake. Hidehara seemed pleased and got his claws ready for a battle.

Lyla watched in confounded silence as the man proceeded to speak to the phone. He really was losing it. He was raving about in his native language, the phone repeating his words in plain english. The woman listened to the mechanical voice with creeping concern. A box demon? He must mean the phone. Was this guy sheltered? How does someone come from Japan and not know about phones? Everything over there was high tech. The man continued to ask the phone where he was, and Lyla started calculating plans to call the police to come and get this guy. He needed immediate medical attention, and possibly a night or two in jail. Then the man was threatening to smash her phone against the rocks and Lyla immediately snapped back to the present. Whoa! What the hell do you think your doing?! Her angry protest was droned out by a colossal boom coming from the ocean behind her. She peeked over her shoulder, seeing hordes of people scramble towards shore. It must be an earthquake, or maybe a pipeline exploded. Not good! She thought as she was handed her phone. She needed to get out of there. The phone translated the man's speech, but Lyla wasn't paying attention. The ocean water began to ripple and large waves were being thrown against the shore. Something big was out there, and it was heading towards the surface. Lyla watched in horrified awe as what appeared to be a giant reptile emerged from the salty depths. It was ginormous, and its roar made the earth shake. What the hell is that?! She screamed, her phone faithfully translating her words into a monotonous japanese phrase. Sore wa nan jigokudesu?! The woman looked around for the man, planning on following him to safety. He was situated on a clumping of rocks, looking far too excited that a mutant lizard just appeared in front of them. I'm out of here! She turned to run, being instantly swallowed by a crowd of people heading for safety. She was swept away with a group of tourists who planned to hide inside a sturdy outcropping of rocks. They remained pressed together, not letting Lyla leave as she might give away their destination. You idiots! Why wouldn't you get away from the beach! Her yell was muffled by a collection of hands pressed over her mouth to keep her quiet. SHH! Just shut up and stay here! It's too late now! They told her.

Hidehara Urushihara The dragon seemed to have found the running victims intriguing and have found thrill from that. It proceeded to follow the crowd, moving its head and neck to go and grab a victim, more specifically Lyla. Hidehara took note and ran at the creature, jumping high on the air before twirling his body to make a tornado, going through the head and out from the neck before then seeing some venom shot out at Lyla. "You're important." Hidehara mumbled before carrying Lyla bridal-style running from the venom that sizzled once it touched the rocks. Everyone was fleeing as dark clouds loomed over at the sky. "Damn it." He mumbled before then fleeing from the scene with a girl in its arms. He got to a building which seemed to be open, slamming it with his feet so he could get in between the gaps. "What is this? Hey woman, seems like demons want you. Be a good girl and shut up." The box heard it and so translated his words. He then you wandered around and found familiar items of his home walking over to it. He then heard a snarl with big feet walking around. Hidehara had to hide her between a huge box and pointed at her, and a sword he would later call his ultimate weapon. "Open." The phone translated his word as he knew that one was going to be big.

Lyla yelped in surprise as she was yanked from the grasp of the tourists. She looked up to see the man from before, carrying her like she weighed nothing. What do you think you're doing? She protested before seeing the very rocks she was hiding melt before her eyes. She screamed in horror as the tourists she had previously been with ran away with horrific burns. She searched wildly for the monster that attacked the beach, only to find its bloody remains strewn about the sand. Did he do that? Thats not possible.... The man took off with Lyla, who was nearly paralyzed with fear and confusion. She watched as buildings and people flew past her until they came to a relatively abandoned one. The man kicked open an entrance and ducked inside before speaking to her. The phone translated his words, and she listened with a numb feeling. Demons? The phone definitely said demons. Lyla's stomach sank. Earlier today she would have laughed it off, but now...now she wasn't so sure. How else would someone explain the events at the beach, or this weird stranger in front of her. When she was finally set down, she felt ready to collapse. Her knees shook with such intensity she had to use the nearby walk for support. Heavy footsteps could be heard echoing around them and the phone's monotonous voice relayed a command. Lyla did as she was told with fumbling hands.

Hidehara Urushihara Good, she can listen. He had figured out that the box demon was a tool to get her to listen to him. With her body shaking, she opened the glass box that had a sword as he yanked it out and unsheathed it. He could see it was dull which made him curse, but there was nothing he could do. He went to the edge of the open arch as he then took some breaths. He could sense that stupid thing approaching. It was not better when big red fingers interloper at the arch he was hiding at, forcing himself to shuffle away quietly as a huge hoarse sigh came through. Hidehara nodded before getting the sword and shank it at one of the fingers as a huge roar echoed in pain. The sword, which was dull, suddenly turned bright and its color of red and black shimmered like it was just made. "I figured the Hinoken would work if it was used." He knew the weapon from long ago, it was a sword he wanted for so long, but it could never get its reach. Then the one orge showed its ugly face with its two back teeth showing, yellow eyes and saggy ski wearing only a little paper hiding the important part (I forgot the name) as Hidehara did not hesitate to go at it and cut its head. The he turned to the girl, pointing at her then at the ground before going outside the building and decided to let out Entei's flame, sprouting out a huge flamethrower at the sky to embolish the dark cloud, disappearing and replaced with the blue skies and white clouds. He nodded and came back to look at the troubled girl. He picked up the box demon and spoke through it: "Tell her that I need to get to her house now, and that her life is in danger. Oh and that my name is Hidehara." He then pointed the phone at her as it told the lady what he wanted to tell her. He needed shelter immediately to figure out where he was.

Lyla looked pressed herself against the wall, trying to remain hidden. She was terrified, absolutely terrified. All she had wanted to do was take a break from studying for midterms, and now she was worried about being killed by who knows what. The footsteps came closer and closer. Their heavy trudge made the woman's heartbeat pick up as the beast came closer. They were going to die, for sure. That grubby little sword wouldn't protect them, it would snap like a twig. Suddenly a huge cry of pain echoed through the room, knocking over small pieces of furniture. Lyla slowly poked her head out to see what was happening. The old sword was gone, and in its place was an impressive looking blade that seemed to emit waves of power. The beast then chose to appear. It was hideous, and the smell of it was enough to make Lyla gag. The man didn't flinch as he brought the shining blade up in a swift motion, severing the creatures head. The body hit the ground with a sickening thunk and the terrorized girl felt the room spin. She felt nauseated. She crawled from her hiding spot and far away from the corpse before closing her eyes and rubbing her temples. What the hell? What the hell? She mumbled over and over before she heard footsteps reenter the room. She looked up, expecting another monster, but saw the man looking down at her. He spoke and the phone translated once again. Her house? She lived on campus at her school, but there was no place that seemed more secure at the moment. She stood up slowly before taking her phone up. Hidehara. That was the man's name. Lyla nodded and pointed in the direction of her university. I live over there. She managed to get the words out as she tried to remember how to move her legs. Come on, Lyla. This is not the time to lose your head. She clenched her jaw. Follow me. The phone translated her command as she began to sprint towards her school. They were thankfully only a few blocks away, and the throngs of people that usually line the streets were gone. She reached her school and dragged Hidehara inside her dorm before quickly shutting the door. She was a single resident, her roommate having dropped out due to poor grades. This was her home while she scrimped and saved to buy herself a proper apartment somewhere. Lyla ran a hand though her hair before turning to face the asian man in front of her. What is going on? Tell me. She demanded.

Hidehara Urushihara Hidehara raised a brow since she said something but it was not translated from the box demon. Her face however, just screamed 'TELL ME NOW' which in all honestly made sense to him. He had grabbed the demon from her grip as he then called out to it. "This is going to be complicated but listen up." He then took a breath before speaking again. "It's complicated. I was at an island battling a bakuneko who believed that consuming me would give it power. I defeated him but he tried to drag me down to the ocean, that failed. But a strange man kicked me out of the edge forcing me to fall into the water. Now I am here, and I do not think I am in Japan anymore. I do sense something is up with this place by the language, strange dragons in the sky, fast barrier-like carts, and clothing that is so revealing the Geishas would cry. Ask her what this country is called and how do I get back to the Nobunaga complex." He then could hear the demon bing and then translate everything he said to the girl. Once it stopped talking, he continued: " Oh, and tell her I am a Baku....a demon that deals with dreams and nightmares. And the one that can enter them as well when I please." The demon binged again, repeating what he said to the girl. Then he realized where he was. "And tell her also this room is crowded and that I'll take the spare bed until I can get home."

The phone translated Hidehara's words for the stunned Lyla who was trying to piece together a picture of the current events. He was battling a monster on an island... that seemed very plausible considering the two demons she had seen already. Then he was kicked into the water and ended up at the beach... it was bizarre, but was an explanation to how the dragon appeared in the water. Hidehara had no idea what any of the technology was around him, and had no clue where he was and even referenced the Nobunaga complex.... Lyla put her face in her hands. This cannot be happening. He really is from the past. From ancient Japan. This kind of stuff isn't real. Something in the back of her mind disagreed, however, how else would one explain the strange happenings? It was real. All of it. The phone translated the man's next set of words, and Lyla looked up surprised. He was a demon? One that could enter her dreams? Not only that, but he was inviting himself to stay here, in her dorm! The woman put her hands on her hips and snatched her phone back. Listen here, buddy, she spoke angrily into the phone, I don't have the slightest idea what this has to do with me. But you are not just going to come waltzing into my room without a care in the world. I have school to worry about and grades and my future career, and the last time I checked, none of my plans had anything to do with rooming with a demon. She waited for the phone to translate her speech.

Literary Freak i want her to beg him to come back, how about another demon come in and try to kill her :3 Hidehara Urushihara Hidehara raised a brow when the box demon told him what he girl wanted to say? Career? Grades? Dorm? What are all those? Unless. "Ask her if she is a geisha and if she is trying to train to be a wife." The demon binged and told the girl what he wanted it to say. With that he stood up after her angry outburst about him staying. He then glowered at her with his eye changing color. "Tell the girl as well that if I did not pull her away in time, she might as well have burned into the ground. Is that how she repays me? What a dishonorable and selfish woman! I saved her life and this is how she repays someone that helps? She will never find a husband with that! Disgusting." He then unsheathed his sword. "Oh and tell her as well that we demons do not take orders from humans, well technically I am a god if she is also sheltered by her stupid parents." He then looked around until he found a cloth which in all honestly was one of her clothing before picking it up, sitting on the empty bed and then clean off the sword from the blood. "Oh and also tell her this: That if she wants to die by those demons again, be my ******** guest. Those are not the last of them and they will return for her, I did notice a strange aura inside her heart but I will not take any-" He then threw his sword upward to the edge of the roof to where a screech was before a huge spider fell on the ground. "That must've came through the window. So what's it gonna be girl? I'll protect you from demons if you give me food, and shelter until I get home. Tell her that box demon." He sat on the bed waiting as he was cleaning the sword. "The stupid wench should be honored with a Baku here." He mumbled to himself. "I'll find a different one who knows honor and respect, if she cannot do so." He then stood up and waved his hand. "Forget it, you are too pathetic to look at. I'll find someone else to help me. Put down that book and learn how to ******** behave." He made sure the box demon got it before going past her and slamming the door, almost hard enough to break it. He'll find someone else to help him get home, he does not want to be near such a dishonorable woman.

Geisha? Training to be a wife? Lyla could feel more anger bubbling in her chest, and she was prepared to unleash it when Hidehara stood up. His eyes changed color menacingly and some deep, primal instinct told the woman to hold her tongue. She listened to his burst of foreign language, her arms crossing over her chest as she returned the hateful look. The phone beeped and began to translate his slew of words. She tried to protest, but the phone kept going. I'm selfish? How dare he call me disgusting! She groaned angrily as Hidehara unsheathed his sword. He was exasperating! Lyla had never met such an arrogant egotistical jerk! Calling himself a god, what complete and utter rubbish! The woman closed her eyes and rubbed at her temples, a headache coming on. This was infuriating. When she opened them, she nearly screamed in anger. He was cleaning his disgusting, bloody sword with her clothes. What a jerk! Lyla listened as the phone continued to translate for him, rambling off something about an aura before Hidehara killed a giant spider with his sword. Then he stood up and continued his rant, leaving hardly a space for the woman to insert any objection. She picked up several objects including a pillow, shoe, and notebook and threw them at the door the demon had just left. What the hell?! I don't need his help, I don't need to be protected by some arrogant man like him! The demons are probably attracted to him! The woman kicked the bloody shirt over to the hamper before running a hand through her hair. Never find a husband. What the hell does he know? He's the one who needs to learn to behave. She grumbled and flopped on her bed, throwing an arm over her face. ----- A shadow moved eerily down the hallway of the dorm building, searching for its target. It stopped in front of a slightly cracked door and let out a high pitched laugh. Hehehe, I found you. It sand before slipping through the door. Once inside the room, the shadow fell from the ceiling and landed in the middle of the floor. It slowly started to take shape, morphing into the form of a shadowy beast. It laughed once again upon seeing a shape on the bed. Well, hello. It sang before grabbing the human. Lyla screamed as she was suddenly yanked from her mattress. Something was holding her by her hair above the ground. She turned to see who her attacker was, and was greeted by a horrific sight. There was a shadow, with sickening red eyes and dripping teeth. Its transparent face was contorted into a smile as it laughed at her fear. You'll make a yummy snack, you smell so good~ It's voice rapped against Lyla's ears, its breath hot on her face. The demon laughed again and prepared to take a bite out of the girl.
