Kes, for all intents and purposes, wasn't telling anyone about the new change in her life. Mind, magic was still so odd, but today was a day to forget that - the station had put her on a public event with the less played portion of her music - IE, the more common sorts the station played when not hosting the show at night, but Kes was in her element smiling at people and chatting them up, happy to take questions and talk with visitors come for the cheap baubles given away by coworkers or those curious about the noise, but it was rather enjoyable, and the DJ smiled as she leaned to greet the next visitor, a grin on her face. "Hey, glad you could come!" Quote: Kor stretched himself out as he headed to a show. He hadn’t treated himself to anything in a while, and it was an off day from his shop, so why not go see something fun and exciting? He was dressed in a pair of jean shorts and just a random tee with some design printed on, and a pair of flip flops because it was the middle of summer and he was already over heated. By the time the DJ finally greeted him, he had a light sheen of sweat on his forehead. Still, he lit up like a candle when she talked and his pierced lips stretched into an impossibly wide smile. “Hey, how’s it going?” He asked like he knew her for a long time.

This was the sort Kes liked. Friendly, calm and social, and the DJ grinned, motioning. "Not much, how about you? Anything exciting?" Kes did like meeting the listeners. They always seemed so lively and interested in things, and she beamed again. "Keeping cool I hope?" One hand rapidly got out a complimentary bottle of water, which she offered him happily, nodding. Quote: "Eh. Off day from work. Thought I'd come see the show." He took the water with a murmured thank you and just cracked it open and sipped at it in an almost greedy way. Jesus, it was hot. "Usually time's spent with my fiancee doing other things, so.." Sometimes a man needed man time, right? Right. Although... Kor had a feeling he'd see Laine here sooner or later, depending on how long he stayed. "Love the music. It's something I tend to play when I'm tattooing."

"Well hope you're enjoying it." Kes nodded, and motioned. "Fiancee? Well congratulations, bro!" Kess motioned, grinning. "I try. Had the station put a cap on the best until tonight, but I'm takin' requests. You got anything?" She motioned, grinning. Quote: He beamed at her congratulations and just hummed, drinking from the water again and shuddered. "Yeah, I got something. Little odd, and out there. Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss by the Bloodhound gang? See what you can do with it." He gave her a wink and a flirty grin. Just because Kor was engaged didn't mean he wouldn't flirt. It just meant he was being silly because he wouldn't actually go with another woman. ...Unless it was approved and like a gravitational thing he couldn't help. Like with Richard. But that was a guy.

Kes grinned, eyes flicking mischievously as she reached into her selection, fingers flying. The archive on hand was from the station, but Kes knew it well and soon a disc was in her hands and she held it up, eyes gleaming as if trouble as she placed it in the queue for play, nodding. "Now THAT is one I got by. Mind it's the radio cut but eeehhh. I can play the full when I'm not on the clock for the station, like at clubs." Quote: "Well, I didn't expect the explicit version." He glanced around at some of the younger kids here and hummed. "I'm surprised someone else knows it." A cackle left Kor's mouth before he could actually hold it in and just looked slightly embarrassed, but not really. "It's not as Ludo's Whip Cream..." That was a song that couldn't be played for younger people or on the radio without a lot of editing. ...In Kor's humble opinion. "I play it a lot at the shop, honestly. Some of my female clients make me turn it off. No fun."

Kes' grin became sharklike and the DJ motioned. "To tell the truth, I'm filling in during the lighter hours. Night is my usual time. AC/DC, VNV Nation, you name it at night. Harder mixed bad. Wouldn't play uncensored for most kids. As for Bloodhound Gang, psh, plese. I work music. Even off the clock. Club circuit." Kes rummaged, pulling out a CD idly and held it up. "Can't go wrong there with some of this good stuff. Try E Nomine if you're into gothic industrial sometime." Quote: "I know E Nomine," he said, taking the CD. "Well, some of them. Do you know Official Era's Ameno? Or.. rather, do you know Official Era." He blinked and tilted his head from side to side before shrugging. Not everyone liked music like theirs. "I can't exactly describe what they are, other than different and really relaxing? Kind of ominous... and pretty. Like.. Latin chanting?" Wow, he was bad at this. Kor shifted his weight to his other foot and pushed his curly, black hair out of his face. "Hm."

"Some of them. Enigma's also good I understand." Kes grinned, completely happy to talk music. "I heard one group does Greogrian chant covers of popular songs in various genres." Quote: "Gooood yes. So good. I love that group." Kor grinned again and nodded his head rapidly. "Okay, but what about the Trans Siberian Orchestra? My DREAM is to go see them live one day." Especially at Christmas. God, they just did these amazing things with the Christmas music. "The first time I ever heard them... There were chills and tears in my eyes. They just play SO well and the music is really moving." He shivered just thinking about it and then looked at her expectantly.

"Love Trans Siberian!" Kes trilled. "I saw an AC/DC concert once, but that was a present from my older brother." A moment to smile fondly. "I heard Trans has amazing concerts. You see Rammstein in concert? MADNESS." Quote: "OK, no, Rammstein is a bit too heavy for me." He didn't really care for that kind of metal. "Hard on the ears." Kor rolled his shoulders and then took a deep breath. "I guess I've been keeping you too long from your other adoring fans, eh?" He glanced around at the other people behind him with a sheepish look. "I'll have to come see you again. I'm Kor, by the way."

"I have time for every fan." Kes said softly, then grinned, offering a hand shake. "Kestrel. Kestrel DeLacey. It was great meeting you Kor." Quote: "You too." He gave her a little wink, lifted the CD he gave her up and then padded away the way he came. Time to go find a cool place to rest with a while. Though, he would definitely be back to talk to her again. She was a music buff like he was. Some variants, but they were meshing fairly well.
