"Kirlia, kirlia!"

Asphodel flailed her arms huffily; beckoning Magnolia's Pokemon before her on the sofa of the hotel room as she stood on the coffee table. A clatter and moan of protest and boredom erupted from her party. Magnolia glared at them; putting a finger to her lips and shushing them. When James moaned with them, she turned and also darted her steely eyes his way, and at once he sat up straight from his slumped position and looked attentive.

"You all agreed a week ago you would be here for Asphodel's performance, so stop with the complaints! She was looking forward to this day!"

When there was another round of moans, Magnolia stood up and clamped hands to her hips. "Enough!" she said. "If you want to leave, leave! But no dinner if you do!"

To no surprise, but to her chagrin, nearly all of her Pokemon left the couch to continue on their merry way. The only ones that left were Raphana, Aruma, and Petal; though the last of them was sleeping peacefully rather than paying attention. Magnolia huffed herself, but let them be, and plopped down next to James. Reaching a hand over, she squeezed his, and offered him a smile.

"Thanks for staying, James," she said. "I really appreciate it."

The male flushed red. "O-of course," he said. "Anything... Anything for you, Illia."

"Okay, Asphodel, you can start. Give it your all!"

"Kirlia!" she said; not once disheartened that her audience abandoned her.

Taking a deep breath, the Kirlia began to pirouette; humming the tune to Dance to the Sugar Plum Fairy as she gently and gracefully danced. Magnolia, James, Raphana, and Aruma (though the Victreebel was staring because he was daydreaming about eating her) stared on transfixed until Asphodel stopped completely. Suddenly, after a moment of stunned quietness, Magnolia and James gave her a round of applause while her Oddish and Victreebel flailed leaves in tandem.

"That was amazing, Asphodel, amazing!" James said.

"Absolutely wonderful!" Magnolia said.

Asphodel smiled brightly and bowed. "Kirlia, kirlia!" she said to them in gratitude as she did.
