Sherry was at the lighthouse well before the appointed time. She had to double check the gear, triple check it, and even check it a fourth time. Did she have enough for everyone? Was it all in working order? Not that notebooks could be out of order, really.

“Well. We’re as prepared as we’ll ever be,” she said to herself, mostly. Honestly, she wasn’t expecting this to be a difficult excursion, but she DID want to make sure they were ready to handle anything.

Those who arrived first would find her still poking around in a box filled with stuff. It was a good way to kill time while she waited.

Arorangi arrived a bit later, beaming brightly and dressed in a pair of shorts, a brightly patterned, flowered shirt, and sneakers, his dreadlocks pulled back into a messy knot at the back of his head. A red bandanna was tied over his head, and he seemed quite eager to get going.

"Kia ora!" Arorangi called out cheerfully.

Feng battled with himself over whether to show up or not. On the one hand, he was positive the text wasn't actually directed a him. That would be silly. Missions were for competent hunters. On the other hand, he really wanted to better himself and maybe actually one day kind of be a competent hunter.

In the end he showed up in a frumpy over-worn tee and shorts. Comfortable shoes for him meant anything but his "work" boots, which left him with an old and battered pair of sneakers, so worn down that the rubber walling was completely missing in places. He bit at his thumb nail and glanced to the freckled girl beside him, nervous.

"I'm not late am I?"

Sherry grinned up at the first person to arrive. "I am Sherry," she confirmed, adding a nod for emphasis. "Nice to meet you, Chance. And no, thank you for coming along!" She looked down at the boxes. "Not just yet, but I might ask you to help hand things out once more arrive."

Yes. She had a whole bunch of stuff to hand out to folks.

When the very bright young man arrive Sherry grinned at him, too. She guessed he had given a greeting, so she gave one in return. "Hello! Glad you could make it! I'm Sherry."

She paused then. Should she introduce everyone to each other? It was entirely possible that people already knew one another. Or maybe not. Sherry decided to let it wait.

The quiet girl was given a grin, too, and a nod. Sherry was doing her very best to mentally keep track of everyone.
The lad that stepped up beside the girl was greeted similarly.

The girl with the blue hair was hard to miss, and Sherry made sure to wave at her, too.

Five so far. It was shaping up to be a nice little group.

"We still have a few more minutes," she announced, "so just relax. This should be a pretty simple outing. Does anyone have any questions while we wait?"

"A pleasure, Sherry," said Chance lightly. "And sure, I'd be glad to help you with whatever you need. I don't mind helping out, there's...a lot of stuff here," he added with a laugh, glancing at all of the boxes. "I'm looking forward to getting started."

The other arrivals were given a friendly smile and a wave - Dawson was given a slightly wider one, bordering on a grin - before Chance turned back to their group leader.

"About how long do you think this'll take, do you suppose?" he asked curiously. "I mean, I don't have any plans after this, I'm just wondering."

Scout looked at the asian man addressing her and shook her head slowly. He was not in fact late.

That was as far as her conversational skills got her.

When Dawson hovered close, she didn't do much to acknowledge his presence either. She was very much a person that lived in her own head and if Dawson wasn't going to say anything neither was she.

When Mimi heard Sherry-san was running an exploration team, Mimi all but jumped at the chance to join. She remembered what Peyton-san had told her about proper clothing-wear, but unfortunately, she didn't have the time nor clearance for an off-island shopping trip. Hopefully Sherry wouldn't mind too much~

She was running a little late, fussing over her clothes and hair again, but was happy to see Sherry hadn't left yet. And... and so many people!! She recognized Chance, and waved, rushing over to where the two were.
"Morning!! Do you need any help?"
