Despite his previous shock and anxiety brought on by coming to his first meeting and then the Youma break in, Arthur had calmed down greatly and even warmed up to the HQ that belonged just to "them." He said tem bit certainly wasn't used to referring to himself as part of a unit or group and had mixed feelings about the entire thing.
As it was, there were perks, and that included the warm, dry, and safe room that was the HQ. He spent the night sleeping on a console and then after hunting for something to eat, returned to escape the heat.
He was current sprawled on the ground, pawing at a piece of the headsets and trying to make sense of them.

Liryn perhaps didn't spend as much time at HQ as other mauvians such as say Ash, however the small tabby bobtail did drop by from time to time.
After all HQ made a good place to work on little projects such as the little app project that he'd been working on and off on in between other things.
It had been kind off more on the off than the on side, but Liryn had decided to spend some time working on it only to find that some of the stuff that he'd gotten Athene, well Athene as Arian, to photocopy from the library appeared to be missing and so he had decided to make the trip over to HQ and have a quick look as the last place that he'd looked at them had been HQ - well at rate it was the last place he remembered looking at them.
He was used to HQ being empty when he popped over, however as he moved past the hole in the wall that was a leftover from when the youma had broken in, Liryn noticed that there was a white cat sprawled out and pawing at some stuff in a corner.
He padded towards him, his voice cheerful as he called out a greeting "Hello".

His ears flickered as he turned onto his back, looking upside-down at the approaching feline before rolling over. Witha wide, yawn, he looked the otehr other. Male. Gray fur with stripes. Well-fed and well tended to which disqualified him as a stray.
Some cats had great luck.
What was more interesting were the eyes, and he stared a moment before he flicekd his tail. "Hello. Coming here for a nap?"

It was perhaps ironic that - prior to awakening to himself - Liryn had in fact started as a stray.
Back then he had been perhaps on the thin side, even with kind people like the woman at the bread shop near the park giving him the odd bits and pieces. Meeting and awakening Mizar and then later finding Athene and the other PSSG members had changed that however and - whilst he was not an overweight cat - over a year of having a place to stay and regular meals had made a lot of difference.
He eyed the key around the upside down mauvian's neck in curiosity, his voice cheerful as he answered the other's question "No, I was looking for some notes I left here" well at least he was pretty certain that he'd left them there. "They're for an app I've been working on" well at least on and off working on.
He glanced at the piece of headset close to the other mauvian, recognising it as a piece from the cat communicator from when Snowball and Ash had called them all so that they could work on it - at least right up to the point before the youma had crashed in.
He turned his purplish gaze back to the other mauvian "Are you working on a communicator? Do you want a hand? They're super handy."
It belatedly occurred to him that he hadn't given the other his name, his ears flicking as he added cheerfully "I'm Liryn by the way."

Arthur rolled back up, shaking his body as little bits of loose fur floated about him. Shedding.
Sitting up, he tried to make himself a bit more presentable by licking a paw and washing his face. "Um...I guess working would be a kind way to describe what I was doing. I was more...." Pushing them about the room as a mild, lazy form of entertainment. "...not."
"It's nice to meet you, Liryn. I'm Arthur. What's a app?" Was that a type of new fruit?

"It's nice to meet you too Arthur" Liryn said cheerfully as the other mauvian rolled and gave himself a shake sending bits of loose fur floating. "And an app's kind of like a computer program but instead of working on computers they work on phones."
He thought about it for a moment before adding "Well not all phones, but definitely on smart phones."
Then he eyed the bit and pieces of communicator, padding closer to one or two of them so that he could nudge them with a paw before continuing "And I think you might have all the bits and pieces to this actually" at least it looked that way. "I can put them together for you if you want?"
At least Liryn was pretty sure he could - after all he had managed to take his apart and put it back together when he had finished off his own communicator and he was equally sure that he could replicate what he'd done that day.

He stepped back and looked at the pieces. "Smart phone.......so.....some phones are smarter than other phones?" He only knew of Eleanor's wireless phone her daughter bought her for Christmas. He and Eleanor read over the manual and learned how to use it together. He'd meow whenever it was someone she wanted to talk to when their name came up on the caller ID. When it was someone Elanor didn't like, he'd lay back down and she would ignore it.
To him, that had been a pretty smart phone. It showed the name of the person calling and their phone number right on the screen!
"I need one for my left ear though. Some of the cats said we could make this listen to us and talk and not use our paws. I got to sit and figure out the parts, but I got lost and then - well..." He looked at the hole in the wall.
"LIryn, do all cats here fight youma? And....do they all know about smart phones?" What was he supposed to know and not know? What was his place aside from doing that one job he did before - and even then just briefly.

"I can do that too" Liryn said at Arthur's mention of needing the communicator for his left ear, once again using his paw to nudge at the bits as he spoke.
After all how hard could it be? He'd just have to remember to put the relevant bit on the opposite side and if that didn't work he could always try fiddling until it did work.
In fact to be honest there was no time like the present, and whilst Arthur hadn't exactly said yes, he hadn't said no either and so he started cheerfully picking up some of the smaller bits and putting them in a pile together - at least he did right up until the point where Arthur asked him about fighting youma and the smart phones.
"I'm not sure if everyone knows about the smart phone" he said. "Ash does - she's the one who showed me what to do - and so does ********* because Ash said that she helped her with it - but I don't really know ********* knew her to see her, but nothing really past that apart from the fact that she'd been the one to awaken Athene as a senshi.
"And I don't about all of the other cats, but some of them fight youma." His purplish eyes were serious as he added "I fight youma too."

Arthur watched as Liryn moved, interested about what went where and hunching down to watch more closely. "I know very few cats. This was my first meeting." And his first time interacting with anyone. He tended to steer clear of these interactions as he was otherwise occupied as a house cat and friend to his owner.
"Really? But they are so large? How can you fight them?"

Of course Liryn hadn't been content to just leave it at just stacking the pieces for the cat communicator together and had ended up moving on from stacking to starting to connect up some of the bits.
Then again Arthur still hadn't told him 'no', in fact if anything the other mauvian had actually moved closer and was watching him - something that Liryn was only too happy to facilitate as he shifted so that the other could get a good look at what he was doing.
He tilted his head as Arthur asked him how he could fight youma "Big doesn't matter" he said matter-of-factly. "My claws are plenty sharp and I'm good on my paws" for a moment his purplish looked thoughtful "And there's always the kitty beam when it's an emergency, but only when it's an emergency."
Because the kitty beam, useful as it was, was kind of a two-edged sword.MoonKitsune Liryn is generally not particularly impressed by youma and seems to miss the fact that he is only a small cat

He watched slowly and then flexed his paws, extending his own claws to regard them before letting them sink back into his paws. "I'm too old to be fast. I don't think I would last very long." He hadn't be any use before.
"There is a lot of gadgets around here. Do the other cats put this all together?"

"Hmm?" Liryn had been in the process of connecting up a few more bits when Arthur spoke, his purplish eyes a little distracted, although they were focused when he finally looked back over at the other mauvian.
"I'm sure you're plenty fast" he said, "After all you were okay with the youma that came in here right." At least he was assuming so.
He looked back at the parts that he had just connected together and absently took them apart before connecting them to a different part and then glanced back "We're mauvians which means that we are much better than silly youma" and to Liryn's viewpoint they were.
He connected up the set of bits to the first set of bits that he had been working on, the communicator starting to take shape
"They may be Ash's gadgets" he said in answer to Arthur's question as he continued to work. "She's really good with tech stuff" he thought about it and then added "Some might be from some of the others too." Perhaps one or two belonged to Snowball or something.

He settled, looking at what was going on and not really following what Liryn was doing.
"I wasn't. Youmas are bad on my heart. I'm not as young and limber as the other youngsters around here. I don't thik I could take youmas breaking into here all the time."
Frowning, he also continued. "I'm also not up to date on all these new-fangled technologies. Never had anything like cell phones or communicators back where I lived. We did get a new tv when the old one stopped working, but that was about it. Never had need for any of it." And Elenor didn't like feeling stupid by having those things forced on her like gifts so he decided he didn't need it either - despite any interest he might have had.
"Where do you live?"

Liryn didn't answer immediately, his purplish eyes busy studying the last set of parts that he'd connected up thoughtfully for a moment.
It didn't look quite right and so he pulled out his own communicator from his subspace pocket and used a paw to pry the top off so that he could compare the two devices for a moment before looking over at Arthur "Well youma don't tend to just break in here" he admitted, adding "That was kind of the first that that's ever happened to be honest and I haven't come across one since" and he had kind of being coming a fair bit in order to work on project...
Well okay make that he'd been coming when he could. He glanced back at the in-progress communicator and disconnected the parts that he had connected up and connected them up again to different parts and then compared the two devices again - much better.
He wasn't sure how to answer the other's comment about new-fangled technologies especially since smart phones and communicators weren't exactly what he'd called 'new-fangled', instead focusing on connecting the last of the needed pieces together before snapping the cover back on his own communicator and vanishing it back into his pocket.
"I live with a couple of senshi" he admitted. "Athene and Ida," he thought about it for a moment before adding "Well and Vespa too" as he found a leftover generic cover for the communicator and pushed it into place "Although that's kind of a temporary thing" even if said 'temporary' thing was kind of a long temporary thing.
He picked up the finished communicator and padded over so that he could put it down closer to the other mauvian before adding "Here - all yours."
