Bio: Shaphira was born in a forest tribe. Her tribe’s specialty was elemental manipulation. A law in her tribe stated that only the people with same elemental power could marry and have children. The reason was so that no one person would have so much power. If caught, the parents and the child would be executed. Fate had it that Saphira’s mother and father fell in love. Their love created Saphira. Her mother controlled the water and her father controlled wind. Knowing that all three of their lives were at danger, they fled in the cover of the night. They were very lucky to have escaped. After months of travel, they settled by a small lake and her parents built a small place to live. Saphira grew up knowing their story. As she grew, her powers started to show. She had gotten her father’s and her mother’s powers. Unlike them, she could only control average amounts of the elements otherwise she would faint. Her parents taught her how to control her powers.
Time passed and Saphira grew to be one with nature and help any animal and human that needed it. Some days she would go out with her father to get food and other days she would spend time learning about the world from her mother. Saphira’s mother was well read, and since they didn’t have books like they used to, her mother would tell her all the things she’d read about. Her mother even taught her how to read and write.
At the age of 15, her parents heard about the Academy and realized it was best for Saphira to go and learn there. Staying in the forest wouldn’t help her. Saphira was sad she would have to leave her parents but she agreed to go anyway.
While they were getting her ready to head off to school, their past unknowingly caught up to them. Their tribe had found them. She had bid farewell to her parents and was headed to the nearest town when she heard screams in the distance. Panicking, Saphira ran back as fast as she could, only to find her parents dead and her home destroyed. Saphira scavenged whatever memories she could from the wreckage. She had a good idea who had done it. So, she ran as fast as she could. The safest place she could be was at her new school.
