As per the mist meetings instructions, Noemi had been taking her duties seriously and was attempting to find other hunters to take on missions, or help out in duties!
There was one on the list of hunters, a Dillon in the mist team that she had yet to meet. She was actually going out of her way to meet him, cause she had never....actually forced herself to meet someone!
So when she found his room, she prepared her little speech and what she wanted to ask and...and yes.
There was a loud knock on the hunter's door.

He had fallen back into his usual routine of laying low and passing his days at deus doing the more mundane chores and duties. It was quite nice, not having to deal with people in general, except for the times when the division heads would call for those general meetings. He'd be sitting at the back by himself quietly, and leave quite happily through the backdoor once it ended.
So that was the way things were for the past few years, and surmise to say, Dillon didn't have any friends on the island. The knock on the door was probably for someone other than him, who had probably gotten too drunk to figure out the right room to be crashing.
The door creaked open and Dillon looked out and sighed at the stranger. "Hm, you've probably gotten the wrong room here."

Noemi actually made a small happy sound when the door opened and somebody actually appeared! It was a handsome boy too, which she thought that perhaps she should send a picture to Shu so that the girl could add her to the watch wall she had, but that seemed creeperish and very much not Noemi.
Instead she smiled awkwardly at Dillon.
"Oh....I'm Sorry?" She didn't even think to question, wait what...."You aren't Dillon Avery?" She paused, looking around. "Do you think you know where his room is?"

"No, that's me yes..." he paused for a moment, trying not to panic as he tried to recall if there was any reason any one should be looking for him. He didn't remember doing anything too wrong in the past week, certainly nothing that would warrant a death sentence from the division leads.
...
The stranger's smile awkward smile was rather disconcerting.
He inched the door close by just a little.
"Er, so what business do you have with me?"

"Oh!" She smiled wider now, "It is you then! That's good! I was worried that I really did get the wrong room. I didn't want to bother a stranger but since you are not!" She waved her hands around, "I mean you still are but also not! They gave me your profile!" She flushed again.
"I mean they gave me your file, to ask if you'd like to do a training course with me, or if you perhaps want, I can show you some places that are good for Mist chores? I mean..." She flushed and then tucked her hands into her pockets.
"I don't know many mist, so I thought perhaps I would ask, and they said-" She looked up at him and looked down, "that you are low key mist! That they'd like to see you in some sort of action or something..." She awkwardly shuffled, "You don't have too! I can just tell them that you are busy!"
But then she wouldn't make a new friend and that was a little sad....

Dillon steeled himself not to crack from the explosion of cute - trust nothing on this island. His lips were drawn into a thin line as she went on to tell him that someone had given her his profile. Great. There wasn't anything impressive written on in, or much at all, and he wouldn't mind keeping it that way.
"I do...my chores...." he answered, trying to avoid the topic of training courses. He'd ditched the last one which another Mist hunter had called him out for, and wondered if this was her way of getting back at him.
"And yes I think I'm doing quite well as a low-key mist, that's exactly my job no?" he defended himself a little too quickly. Not getting killed in action, and not being at the center of attention. There were many things that required discretion...
Not that he had been assigned to any mission of that nature.
He pulled away, narrowing his eyes to squint at her. Was she going to pull rank on him now? He'd have to comply, which then, whatever. Pixie Nyxie moe your way through this moemi, gambatte!

"I'm sorry!" She immediately said, because he seemed so upset! "I'm sorry, i don't mean to offend you! It's just they hand me these things and ask me to do them and I don't mean to bother you..." She clutched at her jacket.
"you...you see. They think I am a weak hunter, I am not very good in battles, and I always stay in the infirmary. But...but I'd like to change that." She nodded, biting her lip, looking at the ground as if it had all the courage she could never muster up.
"Being a low key mist is very good! I respect that a lot. It means you have skills good for Death! gathering information?" She hesitated, "I...I mean...If you aren't busy. There was a training left by one of the mist hunters, and we can treat it like a game! If you are good at sneaking?" She smiled, this time shyly looking up at him. "Do you like to learn secrets or anything like that?" She started to fidget again...

Oh great, he'd done it now. Dillon combed his hand through his hair and loosened his frown, thinking of how best to calm her down.
He opened the door by a bit again.
"It's ok- nevermind about that." He couldn't blame her for doing her job.
Dillon kept a low gaze on the girl and she continued to explain herself rather painfully. "Huh, but they promoted you right? At least that means you're doing something right.." he shrugged. If she'd been through his profile, she'd probably already know that he'd been stuck a trainee for all these years.
"....not specifically just that." Just good enough at anything to be somewhat useful, he didn't continue aloud. Dillon considered her offer as he watched her starting to get fidgety again.
"Ok. Alright, fine." he sighed, taking a step out of the door and shutting it behind him to stand in front of her. "And no, I don't have any particular interests or specializations, but I'll do whatever they told you to get me to do alright?"

Noemi sniffled a little.
Then she reached her hand over to his jacket and gripped it a little.
Her little way of saying he couldn't escape now.
"Okay! We need to find a hunter...to sneak about on." She smiled. Zyphiris He's so cute I just want to hug him

Dillon stiffened as she gripped onto his coat. What.
I swear to gOD NESSY SHUT UP, he screamed internally at an obnoxiously sniggering Naga weapon.
"Okay, but why do we need to sneak up on a hunter?" he asked, trying to casually lean away from the girl so she would hopefully let go of him.
There wasn't a need to snoop around to find out who was dating who here at deus when he could goddamn hear them all the time through the least soundproof walls in existence.

"Because! That's how we learn secrets." Noemi blinked, "Don't you want to learn things that you could use." She waited.
"I still have a moon hunter who I know lots about!" She didn't let go even though Dillon was being so TSUNDERE.
"Do you know anyone on the island you'd want to hold the secrets over?"

Dillon stared at Noemi, now slightly terrified.
How many secrets does she already know? he wondered. Had she gone through everyone's files?
Those innocent looks were a trap.
He decidedly took a step away from her.
"No." he replied pointedly.
