╚════════════════════════════╣ ♮ ╠══════════════╝ ____ An hour ago Jasper had left the pizza place. He didn't have a ride so he of course was walking along the sidewalk. Emilie cut him off by pulling in ahead of him at the cross walk on a motorcycle. He couldn't deny that her way was faster so he climbed on behind her. This was his first time actually riding one of these things but he had seen a few people using them here and there. So he did as they did. He got situated behind her. He didn't rest right up against her back, instead sitting up on his own. His arms though did wrap around her waist as she started to drive. His left arm tightening around her as he used the right to point to her which way to go since the engine and wind was so loud. Her jacket was open so his hand and arm around her waist was getting a good feel for her. She was more muscular than he had figure. Warm and her skin was soft and smooth to the touch. It was a little distracting but he got them to where they were going without any wrong turns despite it. ____ He climbed off before her after she parked the bike. His head turning this way and that as he read the signs in the windows.He found the one they were after and walked into it with her. They had to wait a few minutes before someone met with them. They had them sit in chairs opposite a desk and asked them a few questions about what they were looking for. He specified they were looking for a place with full facilities and a single bedroom to split the cost between them. He of course told them how much he had to offer, glancing at Em to tell how much she had. Once all the details and price was settled it got quiet for a bit. The person that was helping them typed on a computer for a few minutes as they did searches. The printer fired up a bit later and they were handed two or three different places each. Three were really tiny, one was run down but big, the remain two were both basically identical except for location. Jasper liked one and of course Em liked the other. He settled with her place because she said it was in a good place. ____ Once they made their decision for the apartments on Buckeye street the office employee started typing again. She was a fast typist and filled in all the info from their names and gender to less important info. Once she had it all she saved it in their system and then sent it to the landlord of the apartments. Jasper figured they must of reviewed it as they all just sat their and small talked for about ten minutes before the computer pinged. The lady examined it and then told them they had been accepted for the vacancy in 409. they had already covered rent cost but the lady told them the land lord would be waiting for them. They wanted a down payment on the first two months at least and then they would show them to the room and give them the keys. ____ Then again they were back n the bike. This time Jasper just held onto Emilie's waist since she had directions already. It was difficult to not think to much about her skin. He had never had this issue before but he had never touched a girl either. Jasper decided it must be something he just had to get use to. His naivety wouldn't survive the week though that was for sure. When they arrived the landlord turned out to be a nice elderly landlady in her sixties or seventies. She was quite pleased when they covered four months with their down payment and happily talked to them as they went up to the fourth floor. She unlocked the door to 409. Jasper went in first so the landlady that went by the name Elain came in last and gave Emilie the two sets of keys to the front door. ____ She gave them a quick tour. The front door had a closet for shoes, coats, and things like umbrellas to its left as well as the mechanical closet that had the circuit breaker, water heater, ect. The right side was the kitchen with an island bar in the center. Front side of the island had a pantry while the back side had a rising wall that reminded Jasper of a garage door. Behind it was the laundry machines. Beyond that was a small dining table beside the pantry and a living area. Jasper hung back in there, looking through the doors, as the old landlady showed Emilie the bedroom and bathroom. He had to step into the doorway to look at the bath but that was fine since the girls were back in the walk in closet. He found that useful since it would prevent them from walking in on each other while changing. Well most likely would, there was still a dresser in the bedroom under that small flat screen. Jasper retreated to the living room as the ladies came out. "Well i like it. Thanks for the tour Elain." He stated while the old lady was headed to the door. She smiled and then left. After the soft click of the door closing he looked at Em. "Apartment is nicer than I thought it would be. You actually have a good eye. Anyway place to stay is checked off, now all that is of an issue is we don't exactly have any food in stock or clothing beside what we got on. Or i don't anyway. i don't know about you, besides that you said you are attached to that islander like wear and travel light."

╚══════════════╝ Once Jasper had gotten on Emilie's bike, it took little time for the two to reach their destination. She felt him put his arms around her waist during the ride, the left one tightening around her while he used his other to pint out which way she needed to go next. Her lips tilted up in a smirk beneath her helmet. She could feel the way his hand was resting on her stomach. He was certainly getting a good feel for her. Revving the engine, she sped up, rounding a corner to follow his directions exactly. Her skin, to him would feel warm. Her body temperature always ran high. A side effect of her powers. Hopefully it wasn't unpleasant.
Emilie came to a stop outside the building Jasper directed her to and turned off her ride. Looking back, she watched as her companion got off the bike before dismounting, herself. Reaching up, she pulled her helmet off her head, shaking it while her blonde hair fell down her back to rest perfectly agains her shoulders. Setting her helmet on her bike, she turned and followed Jasper to the office, running her fingers through her hair for good measure. The wait to see someone was, thankfully, a short one. And soon they were seated beside each other across a desk from someone who could help them find the perfect place. Emilie kept mostly quiet while Jasper told the person what they were looking for, nodding to show she agreed and putting in her two cents when needed. Eventually they had a list of available units and floor plans for each. Four of the units were immediately vetoed by the two, and soon there were only two places left. The floor plans were identical, but Emilie quickly chose the one she wanted to rent out. Of course, things couldn't go completely smooth. Jasper wanted to other unit, but it was easy to convince him to choose hers. She just told him that his was in a...less than ideal neighborhood, while hers was in a better location. It was true, of course. Once the two made their decision, the office woman began filling out their information on the lease agreement. Name, gender, everything necessary and some that maybe wasn't quite as important. Thankfully it only took about ten minutes for the two to be approved for the apartment. They went over a few more details. Mostly about how the landlord would be waiting for them and how they wanted the first two month's rent as a down payment for the unit before they were given the keys. Emilie nodded her head and bid goodbye to the helpful woman before exiting the office with Jasper and heading back to her bike.
The two were back on the bike in no time, speeding off to their new destination. Their very own apartment. Emilie had directions from the woman, following them closely while she drove. Jasper was holding onto her waist with both hands this time. Emilie paid little attention to him or his hands, instead focusing on the traffic around her. Soon, they arrived at their destination. An apartment complex on Buckeye Street. Emilie turned off the bike and dismounted, removing her helmet once more. At this rate, her poor hair was going to frizz and tangle like no tomorrow.
The landlord had been waiting for them outside the building. It surprised Emilie that the landlord was a kind old woman. She always imagined landlords to be stuck-up businessmen with no interest in anything except sucking money out of their resident's wallets. Emilie happily greeted the woman, talking to her about the down payment. The two payed the first four months in advance, which surprised the woman. The trio ascended the stairs up to the fourth floor of the building before stopping outside the door to 409. The old woman unlocked the door, opening it and stepping aside for the two to enter. Elain followed them and gave each of them a set of keys so they could enter the building and their own apartment.
Elain started a grand tour, though Emilie sort of started exploring on her own. The blonde had taken off her jacket, depositing it in the coat closet before happily trotting around the apartment to take everything in. The place was furnished, which was definitely nice. She looked in all the cupboards in the kitchen, opening and closing the fridge to admire the space before moving on to the pantry and looking inside it as well. Elain moved to show Emilie the bathroom and bedroom. Em poked her head into the bedroom, looking around at the large bed. So it was only one bed. That made things a bit awkward, but she'd have to get used to it. Turning, the elemental went into the bathroom, she looked at herself in the mirror after checking out the shower, fluffing her hair slightly. With a smile she moved into the walk-in closet that was attached to the bathroom. It was big and spacious. A perfect place to store all the clothes that she didn't have yet. Now a serious shopping spree was in order for her.
Emilie exited the bathroom after Elain, a wide smile on her face. Elain was heading towards the door while Jasper thanked her for the tour. Em spun once, her arms in the air. "Oh, I love it!" She giggled and waved goodbye to Elain as the door shut behind her. Jasper turned to her then, getting right to business about what they would need to gather next. She pouted when he said she 'actually had a good eye'. "What? DId you doubt me?" She leaned forward, hands on her hips and playful pout on her face. She shook her head twice before crossing her arms under her chest and sighing. "First item of business should probably be to get some food, then...I don't have any other clothes, but I definitely wouldn't be opposed to getting a new wardrobe." True, she liked her island garb. But...it was more like a costume. Wherever her outfit was spotted, the hero Hestia was also seen. She needed street clothes for when she wasn't off saving the day.

╚════════════════════════════╣ ♮ ╠══════════════╝ ____ Jasper laughed at her first reply. His head shaking lightly when she put her hands on her hips and leaned forward while starting to pout. Even if the pout was so obviously playful. It was cute and good think as it made it easy to focus on that rather than that ample cleavage he got to see when she leaned forward like that. "No I wouldn't say I doubted you. But I don't know enough about you yet to trust in you either though." He felt a bit sagely after he realized how wise that sounded in retrospect. His chest puffing up a little for a second or two with pride in himself before he returned his attention to her. ____ He shrugged and pointed out that they already ate dinner. "I think the first item given we have eaten already would actually be to get some new clothes. Unless we need to beat a closing time to get some food we can get ourselves something to wear for a few days and then grab the food on the way back." Jasper didn't have the same issue that Em had. He had only messed with crime a few times. So Keranos wasn't particularly well known, and what was known was he wore random street cloths all the time rather than a dedicated look. The most dedicated thing was he always wore a light jacket, the one he was still wearing now for that matter. ____

╚══════════════╝ Emilie smirked slightly at Jasper's response to her first statement. So he hadn't doubted her....persay. Her smirk fell away when he continued that he didn't know her well enough to trust in her. She chuckled dryly. It was an odd sound to come from the usually light-spirited elemental. She moved over to the nearest counter and, still facing Jasper, rested her arms on the surface and leaned over onto them, she was bending at the waist, one leg bent while the other remained straight and her booty popped out behind her. "So...let me get this straight...you signed a lease and agreed to live with someone you don't fully trust?" She tipped her head to the side and looked at him, a serious, yet neutral look on her face.
Jasper went on to mention that they had already eaten dinner, and so they should get some new clothes instead. She nodded her head. They could get some food on their way back from the clothes stores. They at least needed to get something for breakfast for the next day. Everything else...that could wait for a bit. She nodded her head once. "That makes sense..." With a sigh, Emilie pushed herself up from her position at the counter and moved toward the door. "I guess we should get going to do some shopping, huh?"

╚════════════════════════════╣ ♮ ╠══════════════╝ ____ Jasper frowned thinking that he must of verbally misstep when her smirk fell away at his words. Her dry chuckle sounded a bit forced ad didn't match her usual personality. His eyes shifted to her bottom when her new stance stuck it out, for some reason he really liked this stance of hers... His hands lifting up in a disarming manner as he waved his palms side to side at her. "No no no no. That's not what I meant. Well sort of. AH!" Jasper pivoted on a heel to turn his back towards her as he got all flustered. "I mean you don't know me, and I don't know you. Of course I trust you a bit but to say I fully trust you might be going to far. I don't know hardly anything about you. Like could you with out looking tell me for sure if I have freckles on my face?" He paused for a second to see if she would respond and give her a chance. It was a 50-50 question, yes or no, but it wasn't likely something she would know right of the top of her head. Especially since if there was anything about his face to stand out to someone it was his eyes. He glanced back over his shoulder after about thirty seconds or so before turning back around. "I'm sure you have things you don't plan to tell me about as well. So of course we don't fully trust each other.
____ Emilie pushed up off the counter after that talk ended and they agreed on how to handle the shopping. "Yeah, lets get going." He followed her to the door and exited behind her, turning back to lock up the apartment before catching up with her down the hall. (tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock, 2.5 hours later) Jasper fumbled around a bag to unlock the door and let himself in. Once through he rushed over to the island and put all the bags down. Like most guys he was one of those 'I'll take it all in in one trip or dye trying' types. So naturally he had loaded himself down with most everything they had picked up. Including most of the heavy groceries and a few of Em's new clothes along side most of his own. "Told ya I could do it, I'm stronger than these scrawny arms make me look!"
