I'm sure many of you have played this game before but we are going to put a bit of a twist on it to help some people to increase their vocabulary.

-The words will run from A-Z. Rinse and repeat.
-They will be descriptive (adjective) words only.
-You will need to provide a definition for that word.
-You will also need to utilize the word in a sentence.
-After a word is used in one A-Z set it can't be used in any others.
-Try to make it so they are not commonly used in everyday sentences.

For example: Starting with A...

Altruistic-showing a disinterested and selfless concern for the well-being of others; unselfish.

Joe felt an altruistic need to protect Mary when she was in danger.

So you have altruistic describing what kind of need Joe had.

Calmly: 1. Nearly or completely motionless; undisturbed; 2. Not excited or agitated; composed

She calmly wrote out the ransom demand.

The word is Grand.
Definition: "Very good or enjoyable; excellent."

Watching the rides at the amusement park light up after dark is always a grand sight.

I - Impetus

1.] A driving force or impulse.
2.] A force that initiates an object into motion, or encourages it to continue moving.


Having caught the scent of wounded prey, the exhausted wolf was given impetus to continue her search, that she might bring food back to the den for her growing pups.

The word is Klutz.
Definition: "A clumsy, awkward, or foolish person."

The smallest puppy was such a klutz; it managed to trip over the same toy ball thrice.

M - Malleable

1. capable of being extended or shaped by hammering or by pressure from rollers.
2. adaptable or tractable

His mind and personality were still malleable at such a young age.
