Personality: Sam is a good boy, a mama's boy, very sweet and perpetually happy. He's super naive and trusting, but has a slightly psychotic, violent side that he keeps locked down like The Pit. Sam is not abnormally smart, he's going to school to get a job, but thinks of astronomy as his guilty pleasure. Since he was young, he's been extremely frugal and had to take care of house work and the finances.
Bio: His mother was very young when she had Sam, and kept him at the urging of the local church, despite her family's reservations. As a result, they were disowned, and had to take care of themselves. When he was five, they moved from Moscow to London. While his mother worked, Sam took care of their tiny flat, and attended the nearby public school. While in Russia, his mother had become close friends with an alumni of the school, and had told the two all about this other world. Sam's mother urged him to try and get into the school, thinking if he graduated, it would give him vastly better chances of getting a job that would keep them off the streets.
