After the long stretch of not seeing anyone in his travels it seemed he was tripping over Soquili now. Imre figured he had found a more populated area than the endless plains of earlier. Though at night it had seemed that there were things, living things, on the edges of the area he could see. Those things had creeped Imre out and he was glad that he had left them and the loneliness behind. Here thre was always someone to talk to or at least see and that chased away the feeling that the things were going to get him. Maybe it was a holdover from what that witch had told him as stories growing up, but Imre liked to believe that he was beyond that.
Dismissing the thoughts of the plains, Imre stepped up his walk into a trot. He tried to lift his feet as high as possible while doing so as he has once seen someone else do. Prancing Imre thought it might be called. It was an interesting challenge none the less even if he was unsure of the name for it. He started to get a rhythm and spared a moment of concentration to check his surroundings, only to trip over his own feet and barely avoid falling head first into the ground. Huffing and recovering his composure, Imre prayed no one had seen that. It was not that he was usually that concerned with conceptions of other about himself, Imre just at that moment was embarrassed. That was allowed, he told himself as he stood there still shaking from the aftershocks of adrenaline. It was fine. It would be fine at least.

This was a variation on a path that was all too familiar by now. Leilani and Valeria were headed back toward Imladris to return the latter to her other home before her father began to worry. Her daughter was almost old enough to make this journey on her own. Once she knew the dangers and how to better protect herself. Flying would also help greatly speed the journey once she could manage the distance. But Siébel, who had been Valeria's primary teacher in that area since she herself could not, had advised against her daughter pushing herself that much just yet since her wings were still growing. Her daughter had not been entirely pleased about it but it was what it was.Yes, she had been sour about it but she had gotten over it. Perhaps next time, she would be permitted to fly at least part of the way even if she did not make the journey on her own. The part that she had not wanted to admit when they left was Siébel was probably right. Her wings were still tired after days of on and off practicing. Valeria stretched and fluttered her wings as they continued on their way. It had been mostly quiet thus far but their path toward Imladris was not a common one. Which made Imre's presence a little surprising, even more so since mother and daughter came across him while he was still visibly shaken.
"Excuse me....are you alright?" He had a unicorn horn, fairy wings and scales, which meant he wasn't bad right? Hopefully he was safe to approach.
Valeria was in that odd stage between filly and mare. Her lengthy mane only reached just past her knees, yet her curly tail almost brushed the ground and her two sets of wings probably appeared somewhat awkwardly large on her shoulders and back.Leilani was a couple of paces behind her daughter as she approached the unfamiliar stallion. He did not seem outwardly injured, at least not now. Had he overdone it on attempts to heal himself perhaps?spelldancer Ahhhhhhhh. I thought I had answered this before but I think Gaia might've eaten my reply. D:

Standing there finally beginning to calm down, Imre failed to notice the approach of the two mares. When the winged one spoke, he twitched and quickly looked over his shoulder before sighing in relief. Nothing bad had come and he hadn’t been physically hurt, though his pride was smarting some. He turned around so that he was facing them and smiled. “I am fine, nothing a few lovely mares need to worry about.” Then realizing how that might come across Imre continued, “Or any one really. Just needed to breath for a bit.” He didn’t want to appear sexist. He didn’t think he was sexist, but Imre was well aware that it was possible to not know things about oneself.
“What are you two doing out here?” They looked related, and as his gaze swept over them Imre tried to not linger on the back leg of the winged mare. But where was the rest of it? Not something one could ask right away. He had learned some manners growing up, just not very many. The winged mare appeared younger than the other. A mother and her daughter perhaps? That thought made Imre tense up. He didn’t think that all mothers were fit to be raising their children. He would have to make sure that the daughter didn’t need help in any way. Some how he would manage this.mistalina13 No worries. I am slow and totally okay with waiting.

Well, it was good that he was alright at least. He would be saved any reaction from Valeria to his social 'stumbling' because she had none, she was young still and relatively inexperienced in the matters of social niceties like that. On a more lateral note, the fact that she was 'behaving' as much as she was at present was a credit to her mother. Though it was still very tempting to bombard the stranger with questions as she had a tendency to do. His temporary reprieve would come when she noticed his drifting gaze. What was he so fascinated by?"This is a common path for many of the herds nearby." A well traveled trail meant it was generally safe, barring the rare unfortunate event of course.Unbeknownst to him, the stallion was right. Leilani and Valeria were mother and daughter indeed. Between herself and her siblings Valeria was the one who most resembled their mother - with similar features and the gradually shifting brown coat. Valeria glanced over and tucked in her wings properly when her mother moved to her side. It seemed she wasn't the only one to have noticed the odd look. Had she misjudged him? Was he up to some sort of mischief then?"You aren't from around here then?" Lelani had never seen him before today, but that did not mean much given her only real time spent in this area was in Imladris lands proper. Still she was a tad suspicious, hence the movement to her daughter's. Hopefully the feeling would turn out to be without merit. Given he hadn't done anything of real substance yet he had a chance to explain himself.Well, this stallion wasn't from Imladris she knew that much. His blue, green and purple coloring would have stuck out in her short memory rather starkly. Her mother not giving direct answers made her a touch hesitant, but she wouldn't back away, not yet. Not until there was a reason to. What was it he was trying to avoid looking at? She did not even think of the cracks in her body, slightly translucent wings or her largely broken leg since they were normal for her. It had not occurred to her that it was something to supposedly be self conscious about - it was like her brother's eyes or her sister's spikes they were just part of who they were.
She cocked her head to the side and her bangs slid way exposing more of her face. The previously hidden left side was cracked more severely, so much so that there was no proper eye to be seen. Though somehow she could still see from that side by some trick of the spirits that no one thus far had been able to explain. If he thought her leg to be the oddest thing about her then that little detail might be enough for him to reevaluate his list. Blessedly, for all her shattered strangeness Valeria had grown up without any serious issues thus far.
The whole extended silence thing was strange, was it a common thing among adults? This wasn't like her mother's early conversations with Siebel though - no blushing, no smiles. It was honestly getting kind of boring. Translucent wings fluffed briefly and curled tail flicked. Did he plan on answering her mother? If not then perhaps it was best to be on their way.spelldancer *gently pushes tag toward you* Lei is more suspicious then she needs to be, but she is protective of her baby. Meanwhile Valeria is being a confused teenager. Whoops.
